Loved the staff, they were so friendly and accommodating, and absolutely loved the Crunchwrap supreme- so good! However, the burger Crunchwrap was honestly really funky and crazy and me and my friend Sara p literally couldn't finish it. Unforch!! The Caesar ish wrap was alright, I would say 7/10. But the place is also super cute, and the location with the views of the river is gorg and quiet spot. Overall would go back! But definitely would not recommend the burger Crunchwrap. read more

Stopped by with my dog after not finding a single option on church street. Ordered the Caesar salad. It was delicious. It's not what you'd expect with lettuce (similar to butter lettuce), lightly cooked carrots, and tofu. The dressing was light and creamy and the whole thing covered with a crunch topping. everything about my lunch today was delightful! I had the Omar forever sandwich on a gluten free bun. It was such a juicy, flavorful hot sandwich. I needed a couple napkins to get through it. We stopped here on the way to visit family for a late lunch. Easy to find, plenty of parking. The food was delicious! I had the be-you-tiful bowl which had really great smoked carrots--the whole combination was great. Hubby had buffalo mac crunchwrap, which he loved. This is maybe my least favorite genre of vegan food: plant-based takes on junk foody late night meat staples. Having said that, it does this style of food really well. They have a variety of "burgers" and wraps and "dawgs" and assorted comfort foods. They are all slathered in various vegan goops and creams and cheeses. Y-U-M! This place is vegan heaven there were so many options and all of them good. Visited on a sunny day and the outside seating overlooking the waterfalls is a bonus. The crunchwrap with the spinach and carrot burger was a winner. Was put off by the chipotle aioli but was assured it wasn't spicy and it was not . Smoothies are flavorful and rich without being overly sweet. I wasn't a fan of the peanut butter cookie, some spices that didn't compliment the taste. The dumplings are divinity and I love their plant burger. Perfect little area as well the proximity to the river and shamanski park make it a great place to get to go and take a walk around. I was surprised to learn that Pingala has been around for quite a few years now. Little did I know there was a food gem only five minutes down the road from where I work. I have now been to the cafe three times in the last week! If the word "vegan" makes you shudder or you assume there will be nothing for you at this restaurant, please give it a try! You won't be disappointed! I highly recommend the Crunchwrap Supreme. This is the perfect introduction to Pingala's menu. From there, I've had the Danger Dawg (yes, it's a carrot!), chicken nugz, and now the Napoleon Dynamite burger. Good luck trying to tell it apart from a beef patty! I do love to try and incorporate more vegan meals into my diet. I had heard great things about Pingala (especially their eggplant bacon), so we decided to come here for lunch. We ordered the falafel sandwich and the vegan bacon cheeseburger (I can't recall the name). Both sandwiches were copious and we could have shared one. The falafel was okay-I'm not sure if it was too much tahini or one of the greens, but something wasn't pleasing on the palate to either of us. The cheeseburger was very good although the eggplant bacon was a bit overcooked and a bit tough, more like a jerky. All in all, as vegan food goes, it was pretty good. Even my meat-eating friends were raving about the food here, so you know it's good! After much internal debate, I ordered the Buddha boi in bowl form rather than wrap form and added tofu. It was packed with flavor! Absolutely loved the smoky carrots and the peanut sauce. The tofu was a great addition and made it just hearty enough to be a full meal, since it would have been a little small otherwise. My friends LOVED the crunchwrap supreme, which is one of their specialties. Great combination of flavors and textures thanks to the cashew queso and so the "n'avo" sauce. (Many of their items feature this green avocado-free creamy spread, which was designed as an avocado replacement after they decided avocados were too costly and environmentally unsustainable to include on their menu.) The buffalo kickin broccoli wrap was also a hit. They also have a fridge full of tasty locally brewed kombucha that I really enjoyed. They have indoor and outdoor seating with views of the river. I've been here twice and the food was great both times. I'm allergic to avocado and when I asked for no avocado on my crunch wrap, the woman at the counter explained how they make their "avocado smash" with chickpeas and a mix of herbs.
