Quick update - I forgot to mention that these lasted me about 3 weeks and I received numerous compliments! If you decide to come in you will not be disappointed! I found this place a while back when I first moved to San Antonio but never went in because of the reviews. Since then they have been under new ownership. Chop has been super accommodating and very chill. I've gone in now 4 times, and went I first went in my nails were really messed up. He has been able to bring my nails back to a healthy length and strength. I do think he's is pricey, HOWEVER, people have told me it's not and honestly the quality of his work is TOP NOTCH so it is DEFINITELY worth the price. read more

***UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT*** I'm new to the area, and have been searching for a place to get my nails done. This place was close to my home so I thought why not give them a try! I clicked on the "Request an Appointment" button, and was able to get an appointment for Saturday morning for a manicure & pedicure. I was greeted by Sydney (I believe that was her name). She was very nice, and showed me where I could pick out my polish. I ended up having her help me pick something out since my nails were very weak, and wanted to do the dip since it helps strengthen them. I love the color blue and sparkles! My pedicure was done first. It was very relaxing! If I wasn't playing a game on my phone, I would have fallen a sleep. She took her time and did extra care with everything, and my toes & feet feel much better! All the calluses surrounding it are gone too! Chop was the one who did my nails. I mentioned to him that I was a healthcare worker so I washed my hands frequently which was why they were as dry as a desert. He was able to make my hand look much better, and did an extra coat on my nails to see how they'd do after 2 weeks so he knows if he'll need to adjust or not. He also recommended that I use a Cuticle oil every day to help keep my nails look song hydrated. I will definitely try to do that, Chop! Hopefully my nails will look better the next time around! I plan to come here often especially since it's close to home too! See you guys again in a few weeks! P.S. definitely make an appointment! I am so sad my every other weekly pedis will have to come to an end here! Not because I want to- but because I moved away! I loved coming to P&W nails! Sooooo happy I stumbled across this place! I was last minute trying to find a place that could fit me in, and they were able to. Usually you don't expect to find an amazing place when it's so last minute and random. I did not feel rushed at all and everyone was so friendly and inviting. I had never been to this place with the previous owners, but the new management is absolutely awesome! They did exactly what I asked for and I will definitely be a regular customer from now on. Came in with my mom and brother, all for pedicures. My mom and I got the Spa package pedicure with shellac and my brother got the Spa package pedicure as well, no polish. My mom's and my pedicures came out great and we were extremely pleased with the service. My brother, who gets ingrown toenails often got both of those taken care of. Sydney did a great job being gentle with the ingrown nails and Chop did an awesome job with my pedi. They also have a 10% off all services special. Go see them! I do NOT recommend going to this nail salon, if you are in the area please go somewhere else. The customer service was horrible and they charged me extra for just the shape of my nails. The man that was doing my nails was so rough on my cuticles they started bleeding. All of my nails have a different shape on them and are not even at ALL. Not only was one employee curled up and taking a nap in the front, I initially asked for a mani/pedi.... she didn't remove all of my previous polish, barely cleaned my cuticles and ran the file over half my nails... she then tried to polish them as though she was done. Horrible customer service. Take your business else where. It was my first time getting my nails done by Nikki came in on a Sunday she was sweet at first. But nails were not done good. Very thin and sloppy they cracked and chipped by Monday. Tried to come see them on Monday evening they were closed came again on Tuesday they were closed finally got a new set on Wednesday charged my BF $18 more cause I wanted French design well because of the bad wrk I requested a refund of the difference since I didn't go with the French design due to the bad work made me have a change of mind in design. Well now they want to nickel and dime all the charges just so they don't do no refund. And start conversing amongst themselves in their language. So Nikki comes and gives me the difference and waves her hands at me like to go get out and Hannah was maintaining her composure but they were just wanting me out by there facial expressions and tone of voice in what was being said amongst themselves. I came to the salon because it's right by my house and the photos on yelp indicated that they can do the popular designs going around the Internet, like the different shapes and jewels. When I got there I asked to double check that they can do then and even showed her a picture, and she said yes. She told me to have a seat and wait. It was right before the holidays so i understand that they were busy, but when she had me sit down I asked if she wanted to see picture and she kept brushing it off. Finally I showed it to her and she refused to do what I asked. After arguing over it I finally gave up and just let her to a plain shellac manicure with one bejeweled finger, not what I wanted. Two days later I noticed half the jewels were on upside down and they looked musty, and 3 have already fallen off. They were not nice at all in there, and unwilling to do what I the client asked. I would not return, and I would not recommend it. read more

When the technician started with my nails, he took out a sterilized packet!! I also observed another technician immediately santitized/cleaned the pedicure tub once she was done with her client.
