I tried this place out for the first time. First impression was very good. They were friendly and clean. A wide variety of colors to choose from. Pedicure chairs were a little old but doable. My manicurist Chris was great! She was meticulous and fast. While enjoying a great pedicure a mom walks in with her 5-6 year old daughter first thing I think of is how cute mommy and daughter nail day! Well, mom has zero control of her daughter! Yelling and screeching at the top of her voice and mom doing nothing to stop it but laugh. To the point that I couldn't even focus. I know, kids are kids I have no issue with that at all. But moms need to be moms and remember they are not the only customers. Then her very loud 50 something sister came in just to hang out! She didn't shut up at all. The whole salon knows her personal business. This is a place of business not a party spot. Now little girl is getting her nails dried and out comes the iPad! I think oh good now she'll be quiet and I can enjoy the rest of my fill in. Nope! iPad on full blast mom, aunt and grandma say nothing to lower the volume. I honestly couldn't wait to pay and get out! The only problem with this is that the owner was there and she did nothing to ask them to be quiet. It's not a library but it's a "spa" at some level. As for my pedi and fill in I am very happy with it. I will go back one more time but not on a Saturday! But if I can't relax for the time I'm there it will be the last. read more

Cheap prices, excellent service. My mom and I have been going here for 10+ years and even when the salon changed owners, things only changed for the better. The current staff is friendly and will chat with you if you want to chat, but leaves you alone if you're not into that. They DO talk to each other in Korean/Spanish (majority of the nail technicians are Korean, but there are about 2 or 3 who speak Spanish) so if you get offended by that, there's plenty of it. Doesn't bother me. They have a pretty good selection of nail polish colors. It's 98% Essie/OPI but you're more than welcome to bring your own. Lots of regulars make the place feel friendlier than your average nail salon. I've even tried other area salons (Natural Nails in South Fdale comes to mind) but so far the experiences and prices of Pink Nails can't be beat, at least as far as I'm concerned. Oh, also, they DO accept CC's but not for tips so definitely bring cash. And DEFINITELY get one of the special pedicures, they are well worth it and not much pricier than the regular pedicure. read more

ABSOLUTELY NO RECOMMENDATIONS FOR THIS PLACE!!!! Not clean. Instruments in tray on table and not sterilized per customer! I walked in and asked for Lily with whom I called and made an appointment upon a referral from a co-worker. The man looked at me weird and then called a woman who was in the back. I said 'hi, lily' Allison speaks of you highly. She smiled, said nothing personal about Allison. My nails came okay. When I got back to work, told Allison and described the woman, she told me that was NOT Lily! It turns out I walked into the wrong salon, the recommended salon was a few stores down the street!!! AND THE MAN...AND WOMAN WHO DID MY NAILS...NEVER ACKNOWLEDGED THAT SHE WAS NOT LILY!!!! Very sneaky and unethical!!!!!!!! read more

I have been to this place twice and loved it. I live in Farmingdale and have probably tried every nail place in town. This will be my regular mani/pedi place from now on. The ambiance is warm and welcoming. Service is great. I got a mani/pedi from Veronica, one of two Salvadoran sisters who work there, and it was perfect. I'm not high maintenance so I can only speak for regular manicure and pedicure, which is what I get. Made an appointment for the next time and I'm convinced I'll never go anywhere else. read more

As soon as I walked into this salon I knew it wasn't for me. The place looks run down and dirty and it doesn't look like they sterilize the equipment between each client. I originally went in for a manicure & pedicure but after sitting down I decided to just finish the manicure and get out. The staff is actually not friendly at all, the nail polish selection was messy and old and the Korean banter was not very funny. I went to Jane's Nails down the street for a pedicure and loved it! read more

This is my go to place. I have not had a bad experience although my sister has had a few and she tries to dissuade me from going here. I am always a happy customer. They always seem to do my eyebrows perfectly as well as manicures. They do a good job with nails and mine always last at least a week or two without chipping or needing a touch up. read more

Before going in I called the salon for prices. The guy gave me one price over the phone and a different in person which annoyed me. I went through with it anyways, I got a fill in with a gel polish and a pedicure. It came out to $49 not including tip. Do I think their work was worth this much? no way. I like the way my nails and toes came out pretty much, minus the fact that the guy who did my nails cut me FOUR times. I now have scabs on both my pinkies, my ring finger and my thumb. Will I be returning? I will probably try it one more time, if they cut me again the second time I obviously won't go back. He probably cut me so many times because he was watching a movie while doing my nails.. figures. read more

I only came here because my regular nail salon down the block was super busy and I needed a fresh mani pedi for a wedding I was in the following morning. Worst. Idea. For the entire duration of my pedicure I had to listen to a man, who I assumed was the owner, arguing with a customer. I mean he was actually YELLING at this woman right in the middle of the salon. Not sure what triggered the fight but it was super awkward and uncomfortable for me and the other 2 customers sitting there at the time. Anyhow, moving on.. Here is my real beef with this place: I don't know if it was old nail polish, a bad top coat, or the awful 1985 nail dryer lamps they have that seemed to hardly work, but for some bizarre reason, my nail polish literally NEVER dried. Not after half an hour under the dryer lamp, not after sitting in my car for an hour, and driving home and even using my blow dryer.. because about 3 full hours later, when I was putting on my dress for the rehearsal dinner, half of the polish completely smudged right off! I was shocked and I had no time to go back and ask them to redo it, so I ended up having to just take off the polish from my fingernails altogether. The next morning when I put on my stockings for the wedding, what do ya know the polish on my toes stuck right to the nylon and smudged right off. How is that even possible, a DAY later?! I normally don't like writing bad reviews, but my experience here caused stress on what was supposed to be a special day. Not to mention I paid them 27 bucks plus tip for the awful nail job that never dried. Never again, I learned my lesson and will stick to Jane's down the block. read more

Yes the price is cheap but you get what you pay for. $20 mani/pedi I was excited about. They rushed through both and it wasn't even busy. Paint was uneven as were my nails. My nail polish on my hands chipped off by the next morning. And I'm NOT a hands on girl. I had to in turn pay for another manicure days later. The place itself was outdated and not very clean. Had to sit on an old dirty couch while I waited. I would not go back if someone paid me to. read more
