The only reason I am giving 4 stars is because she has often closed early or is not available (open) on some smaller holidays or when I have been off (consistently). Normally I always book my appointments a day or so before because my schedule is a little unpredictable with kids and commuting from the peninsula, but because this is a small family-owned salon, you practically need to book 1-2 weeks out which is harder for me. Hailey took me as a walk-in even if she was booked all morning. I felt so bad, especially when I found out she was the only one working, but I needed to get my nails done for my maternity photoshoot that same day! Thank goodness she took me in and that I actually waited because my nails have never looked so good! (Trust me when I say my profession doesn't let me have pretty lady looking nails). I think she and her family run the whole place, and it's so cute and so clean in there - I have nothing bad to say about this salon. I am so glad I found this gem in Gilroy. Came in for the first time with my mother-in-law and pleased to say it was a good experience. I called in last night and they accommodated us with an early morning time as their morning was otherwise booked up. Only downside is that there is no massage with pedicures right now as a COVID precaution-- that's my favorite part! Didn't really get a heads up about it. Regardless, my feet are nice and soft and she really took her time, which I always appreciate. I hate when they're rushing to get you out of the chair. Hailey did a fantastic job on my nails! This was my first time going to this nail salon so I was very surprised to see Hailey because I recognized her! We both were surprised! We knew each other from when I went to another salon which she worked at and I was a customer of, here in town. I left that salon due to the mistreatment of customers and employees by the owner about 3 years ago. I started hearing really good things about this "new salon" about a year ago. I didn't try sassy pink at that time because I felt loyal to the salon with which I went to after leaving Haileys' old salon. But I kept wanting to leave because I always made an appointment and the owners didn't seem to care that most of the time I waited between 10-30 mins. Also I felt unappreciated, like they could care less if I was there or not! One last thing is, I really don't like it when all the employees speak in their native language! We are all in America so please be considerate and speak English, I don't care what they speak when they are on break or off work. Recently started coming to this nail salon because I live in Gilroy and I was tired of having to drive to San Jose during the weekends. I'm so happy I found this nail shop! Haley and her mom are the only two nail techs there and they are fantastic! They take great care of their clients, and are both very sweet. I love my nails, and I love the welcoming, and clean environment. I feel very comfortable when I go get my nails done, and they always do a great job. They are very gentle, and patient. They will be going on a 3 week vacation soon so they made sure to make everyone aware, and fit me in right before leaving so my nails look good while they are gone. I went to this place back in November of 2020. Covid rules were in order and they were fine with that. Upon arrival I felt like a nuisance. It was as if the employees were irritated they had a customer. Being the pandemic, you would think they would be welcoming to any paying customer. I am in no way hard to please or confrontational but my experience was the complete opposite of customer service. I had a gel mani pedi and the pedicure was fine except when ever I tried to make small talk I was ignored. During the manicure was the reason for this review. My nail technician had her AirPods in the entire time while watching a movie or show on her phone stopping my nails to laugh at whatever she was watching. Also answering personal FaceTime calls continuously where she would stop working to take the call. This drug out my appointment to way longer than it should have taken if she gave the work her undivided attention. I got a simple color gel polish and it looked terrible and I was in the salon for almost 2 hours. Parts of my nails weren't even painted. I just wanted to get out of there. I'm glad other people have had decent experiences here but I hope they change their ways. It doesn't take much to be nice. read more
