We got Pink's for takeouts as whole pizza pies, and didn't have to deal with the reheated single slices. We got the Southwestern, beef/portabella mushrooms/onions, and the Big Sleep. The southwestern was basically slathered in bbq sauce, which was not necessarily a bad thing, just not very creative. It was flavorful and juicy, but I just sometimes suspect if pizza joints go heavy on the sauce to cover up the less-than-fresh ingredients and toppings. The big sleep was kinda like a Greek pizza, but heavier... probably why they call it the big sleep. Pizzas were overall pretty good. I would probably order again if I needed pizza takeouts. read more

My go-to spot for pizza slices.. I lived in NY for fours years and moved back 2 years ago, if you've been to NY then you know their slices are BOMB! Being back in Houston and having nothing but the typical places like Pizza Hut and Domino's seriously sucked. That was until I moved to the Montrose area and was introduced to Pinks! Yup. I was sold. I hate pizza! For real I really do not care for it at all. But I had an Italian sausage, onion and mushroom pizza from here and ate seconds the next day. It is really really good pizza. I was super and pleasantly surprised. The onions and mushrooms were clearly sautéed and the sausage was on point, seasonings and all. Only wished for just a tad more sauce. read more

Their slices are always really good. I live down the street and usually call ahead. Slices are usually ready in 7-15 minutes. Friendly staff. Two two topping slices cost about $9 and make a damn fine meal. read more

Last night I made one of the better decisions in my life & ordered a 12 inch Lazy Lasagna pizza (with extra mozzarella & parmesan, of course). I think that it's really neat that they opened up a pinks at the airport. I really wish they would bring back the grinder they used to make. We have ordered from Pink's on West Grey for approximately six months since moving into the neighborhood. For the most part, we have had few problems. They know our address as soon as they answer the phone and even though they ask for us to allow 45 minutes to an hour for delivery, they usually deliver within one half hour. Tonight however, we had to tell them to turn down the loud music in the background as we placed their order. We became concerned when they did not deliver the pizza within one hour and my wife called twice. Finally, they admitted that they sent the pizza to wrong address. If you order via Postmates you will be waiting over an hour because this place can't get it together! I have ordered twice at this place and they never have the order ready for the Postmates Driver. We were looking for a pizza place and found this Pink 's Pizza. We were pleasantly surprised. I personally loved the breading and since I chose the toppings, I loved the pizza. My husband ate all of his half and complained about the chose of toppings. Next time he says he will go with the Supreme. The sitting space was small but still, accommodating. Normally stellar pizza mired by utter incompetence. Ordered a pizza on a Tuesday evening around 6:45; simple order large pizza, salad, and some breadstick bites. No special orders, nothing complicated, and bear in mind also I live less than a 2-3 minute walk from their location, and yes I did say walk. So with that in mind, why did it take them 90+ minutes to deliver an ice cold pizza, warm salad, and even more frigid bread sticks. Called to complain, and instead of offering to fix the problem "Aaron" who was exceptionally unprofessional and supposedly is the manager made excuse after excuse, after excuse, even going so far as to blame their owner for only having 2 drivers, uh gent doesn't he also sign your check? Driver was just as bad or worse, offering even more excuses without ever apologizing or acknowledging the fact they screwed up something royal. I get that you're busy, cool, I can wait an hour too.. But when you tell people 45 minutes, and having ordered there dozens of times, normally it's at my door in under 20 minutes, and then take double that time, deliver cold pizza, and then fail to offer anything but excuses for their own mistakes. Were this my restaurant and I was that swamped, just stop answering the phones, hire some competent people, and not to be mean but someone whose first language would preferably be English too as the communication skills of the supposed manager left much to be desired. This is a belated review from a New Yorker. We were down in Houston looking at Rice University for my son. After the tour we were starving and looking for a place to eat. We checked out Yelp, saw Pinks and said what the heck, we're hungry. This is the Best pizza outside of New York and with the greatest staff. We ordered 2 pies, a vegan and a pepperoni. My son knocked the pepperoni onto the floor after he'd already started eating. Without us even asking they made us new pizza and refused to let us pay for it. I don't suggest you try that.
