I started going to Pinky Nails when it opened and I LOVED the way my nails turned out for the first time in forever. I had been going to random places for a few months and just couldn't find one I was really happy with until I came here. After about my 3rd visit I noticed that they weren't drilling out the nail growth at the tips of my nails. I have never had a nail tech not do this. It caused my nails to lift and water to live in between the acrylic nail and my real nail. I asked them about it and they just glued it back with nail glue. After about my 4th visit I started to notice dark spots underneath two of my nails. When I removed the nails there was fungus growing on my nail. I have been getting my nails done for 18 years and have never had a fungus on my nails due to acrylics. I am so sad because as I said - the shape of my nails were perfect and my nail tech was so nice but I wont be going back. read more

Made an appointment for my bridal party and I to get manicures and pedicures. As soon as we walked in for our appointment they had us choose colors and sat us for pedicures. I got may nail done today and when I got there they told me to pick a color and I went and looked and they keeps asking me if I picked a color I felt rushed and then I picked a color and they didn't have it so I pick another color and it was to dark so I told the lady and I pick another color and she didn't take off the other color off that I didn't like so the color I pick doesn't look the same and she just put the color on fast and said all done. The lady didn't do a good job. I will not becoming back. I will not recommend this place to anyone anymore. Not good with you requesting same nail technician. They are not good with The SNS product. They don't appreciate good tips . They act as if you have all the time in the world when they don't do the service right the first time. Great service. We came in for a last minute babyshower Mani/Pedi. We were 4 ladies, and we were treated and greated well. They even had a balloon and card for the Mom To Be. I will not be returning to this place ever. After my last review the owner offered me a discount with my next purchase which was very commendable and professional and a way to keep a customer happy. When i returned to use the discount i wanted my acrylics removed because i was sick of them, a gel manicure, a pedicure and to get my eyebrows waxed. I came around 6pm and the guy said they would have to wait until tomorrow so they had enough time to soak my nails off as they were closing in an hour or so, i was totally fine with this and i just proceeded with my pedi and eyebrows. The pedicure was great, because i wore tighter jeans i couldn't get my pant legs up so the lady spent more time on my feet which was so nice. Then i went to go get my brows waxed. And i told her what happened last time with the swelling and bumps or whatever, turns out the wax was too hot last time, so she blew on it and cooled it off so i didn't have that problem again. She waxed my brows and after she was done she said something like "nice and even now" or something along those lines referring to my last yelp post without actually directly referencing it. She completely changed my eyebrow shape. Because i posted the pictures from the first time she did them and the most recent time. I believe she messed my brows up on purpose because of the yelp review i left a couple weeks ago. My whole arch is completely gone and I'm al chopped up now. I have worked so hard to get my brows the way i like them and i already have very sparse brows and now she just completely messed all those years of trying to get the shape i want, wasted. So I've been here a few times now (3) and I want to like them I really do but my nails NEVER last. I get the SNS powder manicure and every time a week to a week n half in they start to lift and break off. First time to this place. My mom and I were referred by her co worker who goes here. She said they do a nice job. The gentleman who checks you in was very nice and professional so I thought for sure his employees would be as well. Vicky did my toes and wasn't very nice. She didn't look happy when he told her to do my toes and she let me know it. I don't get my toes done often because they are sensitive so I do them myself but my mom offered so I went. I even told Vicky before she started and she said "ok". I moved my foot back a little when she was doing my cuticles and she respond, very rudely, "if you don't want me to do it then I won't do it" I said, "ok please and thank you" I'm sorry it's sensitive". After that, she looked like she wanted to drag me to the back and jump me with all her co workers, I mean you thought I just insulted her mother. Lol. Her co workers can tell she was upset and they asked her what was wrong, she complained about me and they all looked at me. What's even crazier is, the customer next to me noticed and asked me "why was she treating me like that"? She said " I've had Vicky before and she's always rude but she's being really rude to you". I responded, " I have no idea, I literally just sat in the chair." Vicky doesn't look like a happy employee and she definitely doesn't look like she wants to be doing anyone's feet. Lol, I walk into a place of business and ask and pay and tip for a service just to be treated like that. WTF kind of business are you running over there? Seriously, I cook for a living, could you just imagine if I responded that way to you ordering your food your about to put down you throat, I don't think so. lol. I want to first start by saying I never thought there was any excuse to ever not leave a tip for someone in the service industry even if service was terrible you leave something... well I met my match today.... I went in to get nails put on and I am new to this which I explained to the woman doing my nails named Bebe as I was trying to understand different colors... I decided on Gels so she brings out the colors and I couldn't find the one I was looking for so I went to the front to find others as she was sitting at her phone texting and I come back to her desk and she said those cost 8.00 more so I decided on just the basic gels so I asked her which ones those were and her response was, " those are the ones I just showed you and put back!" I was taken back by her rudeness so I went up by myself to try to find them and she didn't offer to help she just sat at her desk and continued to text on her phone and I went back with what I thought was the right colors and gave her the four colors I needed and she came back with three and then later the manager comes with five and I try to explain I never wanted five and one of the colors was not even what I asked for and he starts telling me that five cost extra and next time I will have to pay more I was very embarrassed as the whole place was looking at me. I was very clear on the four colors however the woman was very short with me and was too busy on her phone to even look at what I was trying to show her, after speaking with the manager she was very rough on my hands and even cut my finger which began to bleed and she didn't even mention it or apologize she just kept going... it was very uncomfortable I even was going to ask for a design which I knew to pay extra but I honestly was scared to even ask I just wanted to get out of there. I felt it wasn't even worth discussing with the manager as he had no interest in even listening while he was trying to charge extra when I was explaining to him I never wanted five colors and she wasn't listening when she was too busy on her phone to begin with. So I've been here twice now and the first time I had Hannah and she was WONDERFUL. I got my first acrylic set and she was super attentive and was joking with me, definitely helped me relax. I'm a bit of an introvert and she kept the conversation at the right pace and after, my nails looks lovely. Now, two and a half weeks later, I take my mom and my cousin to get a fill and pedicures. I had just gotten back from being overseas and I thought to help relax me and get that jet lag under control, this would be a great trip. My mom has also never had a pedicure or a manicure. After spending two weeks talking this place up, we arrive. We get taken back pretty quickly and my cousin was only getting a fill and colour change so she had Hannah as her tech. Now, I had Helen. Helen rushed my pedicure, and was pretty quiet except to gossip with the tech next to her, which was fine. I'm a quiet person. My mom had a fantastic woman named Mia who was very kind and walked my mom through the process and chatted away with her. I finished my manicure and we moved to Helens table. I requested a fill, colour change, and shape adjustment from round square to oval. She then proceeded to clip, round out, and fill in the space. This is my first fill on my first set, and I zone out, just relaxing, before I feel the drill tip she's using start to skim my cuticle. I don't know if this is normal and just sit there, then she hits my cuticle full on and I actually yelped and flinched away. She apologised and then did it again on my thumb. So my pinky, ring finger, and thumb were badly assaulted with the drill. My thumb has a bit of blood. She finished the gel colour coat, and filed down the ends. My nails are not evenly rounded on half my fingers, she sprayed the alcohol on my hands to wipe them down and boy, let me tell you that stung so bad. I should also mention she was watching the clock and kind of rushing through the process. I thought she might be past the time she was to go home but as I was leaving, she had taken to the pedicure area to work on another client. So after a rough go at my manicure and pedicure, I have uneven nails, damaged cuticles on three fingers, and overall just a bad experience. I wanted to relax and ended up more uptight than before I went in. Thankfully my mom and cousin had a better time than I did but if I can offer any advice or review of this place, it would be to see Hannah for great service and beware of Helen and her heavy handed drill tips. If not for my second trip today, I would have given a full 5 sta After my initial review and planning to not return to this place, the owner reached out. After they apologised and asked I give their location another chance, I agreed. I went in for a pedicure and new set with the sns powder. I had Jeannie for my pedicure who was a wonderful, hilarious person that I enjoyed bonding with, but I also had Hannah again! She gave me a gorgeous ombré set that I wore with so much pride after. I returned 2 weeks later for a fill. I had a male tech, I wish I caught his name because he gave me gorgeous almond shaped nails that I wore to Disneyland. I'm happy I gave them another go, I'm much happier this time around. Will definitely return. read more

Pinky Nails & Spa is close to where I live so I decided to try them. Before going to Pinky I have tried other nail salons in the area, but I have had bad experiences. Since trying Pinky, I've been back three times so far. Kelly and Tommy are the owners of the salon and they are very personable. The atmosphere is inviting and comfortable. They offer different manicure/pedicure options, I get the SNS Dipping Powder manicure and standard pedicure. Kelly does my SNS manicure and she focuses on what she is doing. I appreciate that she does not try to carry on endless conversations while working on my nails. This is the best SNS manicure application that I've received so far. Fantastic experience! I went for a pedicure! Everyone was super welcoming. The guy who did my pedicure was very good. He kept making sure I was ok with everything from the water temp to the pressure of the leg massage. Very affordable. The only thing I needed was a cocktail to make it more relaxing! Very clean and the smell of the lotions and scrubs is wonderful. Not like a normal smelly nail salon. Even the music was relaxing. Highly recommended!!! I will go again for sure! read more

Hello to all considering this place. I am from the East Coast and have twice visited this salon for a French Manicure. Both time I have had 100% pleasure in my service, professional employees. I was there on March 25, 2018 and had Halen do my nails - She was fantastic and took such care in her work. The selection of colors for nails are nicely arranged to choose from. The reason we like this salon is big variety of colors and location. The reason we don't is the SNS dip and gel is just not done right. I don't know if they chintz on materials or what but 2 of the 3 maincures I got here had problems within 3 days! $45 for SNS and I already have one nail chipped and snagging on my clothes. Also nails are a bit uneven and they were a perfectly shaped 4-week SNS coming from my last place. Very disappointing. My other problem was with a gel that came apart after 3 days - they fixed with no hassle but next day another nail went. Nice people but I don't have that kind of time or money to spend $45 on stuff that keeps coming apart. Not only that but the $35 place also does your cuticles and gives a short hand massage. This salon does a good job with my nails but the last few times the female technicians have been extremely dishonest-sneaky with over charging for services that I did not agree to and even declined. I agreed to a $12 shinny upgrade a month ago and got charged $22 over for the service. I was actually tired and didn't feel like disputing it but after being over charged by $10 this past week I finally spoke up to the managers because it left a bad feeling with me especially after being overcharged last time. I purposely declined the manicure upgrade and declined getting my nails trimmed down to make sure I didn't get any upgrades and the tech billed me for $52 when I only got a basic $42 dip done. I don't like being tricked into paying more for a service and since it was twice in a row I thought I would mention it on here to make sure others are aware to look out for this same thing when they get their nails done. read more

I used to love going to this nail salon when Kelly was managing is. I go every 3 weeks to get my nails done. She is super friendly and very accommodating ie. she would let me use a coupon that I get for my Birthday even if it expired a week after. Ever since Tommy, her husband took over, this nail salon has gone downhill in terms of customer service. First off, I'm always scared to call in for an appt. as he always answer the phone and is very short, abrupt and mean. Then I started getting very annoyed when I came in a few months ago with a Birthday coupon for 10% off that has expired a few weeks and he wouldn't let me use. I was ok with that at that time, as I understand, it was a few weeks past the expired date. Mind you, he declined/rejected it very rudely when I presented it to him. He made me feel like I'm asking for a free nail service, whereas, the total nail service bill at that time for dip, manicure & pedicure was like $80, which would have been a mere discount of $8 (10% for the Birthday coupon), and I would have given it back to the nail technician at double that amount for 20% Tip, anyways, like I always did. Well, the last straw was today, when I called to make an appt. for Thursday 6/10. I told him I received a 'come back' (I've not been to the nail salon in over a month as due to Covid, I don't have to meet with clients and don't need my nails done every 3 weeks) email discount for 20% off that will expire on 6/8. I told him I have meetings booked on 6/8 and can't come in that day, so I asked if he will honor the coupon 2 days after expiration when I come in for my appt. 6/10. He said verbatim "Ok, I will do the right thing here and say NO, you have to come in before the coupon expires to use it." Well, that's it!! that comment left such a bad taste in my mouth that I said, I will take my business elsewhere. I'M SO DONE!!! Nails salons are a dime and a dozen. For a Business Owner, he sure does not understand the value of repeat customer/s. If you perform a simple math calculation. For every month that I spent between $50 - $100 on my nail service with them, he would rather lose a mere $16 and lose me as a loyal customer. This is the perfect example of BAD, HORRIBLE Customer Service!!! I made an appt. at another nail salon closer to my house. I recently, six months ago, found this place by Fry's Market off of Dove Valley road, and I have been happy with BB giving me a pedicure. The problem is BB is not always there. I had a young man take care of me and he was ok. Left me sitting there for a long time while he was on his cell phone. I finally got up and left. This last time was horrible. BB was not working that week so I was given another girl. I noticed right away she did not have a name tag on and she went and got it. Next, she did not take all of the nail polish off of my toe nails and cotton was hanging off of my toe nails from the cotton ball she had used. She was quite rough and my toes are hurting off and on which I hope is not indicating ingrown toenails. She used mostly a stone for my feet instead of the "cheese grater". She also put this thick gel on my feet and put my feet on some paper. All so different than I have had before. After barely scraping my feet, she started putting the nail polish on and I noticed she was watering it down. Since I was in a hurry because I had an appointment I never said anything, but I did notice the roughness on my feet that is usually gone when I leave the salon. Every once in awhile my toes are aching. I have a call in to the manager to see what they will do about this horrible experience. I believe that some of these people know what they are doing and others are guessing. What do you do when you have paid for it and even tipped the person (small amount this time) for a pedicure that is supposed to make you feel good? If the manager wants me to come back in, do I tip again for something that should have been done right the first time. This is my concern. I don't want to have to pay again. Daughter got her nails done here for homecoming. She liked how they turned out, but I'm disappointed with the clarification. We only wanted full acrylic set, my daughter even asked for regular polish: this should cost $30. She was handed colors to choose from, not knowing that she picked out gel polish, which is an extra $15... totaling $45 + tip. Both her and I could've cared less about having gel polish! You might as well walk in rather than creating an appointment because I waited at least 1h 30m to get a simple fill, and pedicure. This one visit just totally ruined it for me. I've tried this salon about 7 times the first few visits were fine then they wouldn't paint my nails correctly, and always made my toenails too short and not straight. I went in today for a pedicure GEL PEDICURE and the lady did regular nail polish and I was like whatever because I just wanted to go home, but then when I asked for acrylic she tried changing my mind THREE times when I kept telling her no this is what I want. Guess she was mad and she then filled my toenail so much on one side it literally was so crooked I couldn't believe it. When I told the male manager he was making so many excuses trying to say it's my toenail like sir I've gotten way more pedicure than needed I know my toes. I went for a simple color change, the girl never gave me eye contact, never smiled and when she filed my nails got my finger and then rolled her eyes when I said "ouch", she never apologized, but instead began speaking in Vietnamese to her colleagues while they all laughed; makes me want to learn their language. She left me sitting with acetone on my fingernails and started to do an acrylic service on another woman, I asked who is finishing me, and she said, "I don't know". If they were too busy they could have just told me and I would not have stayed; I took the clips off of my fingernails and went down the street and was treated kindly. I will never go back there!
