I've been wanting to find somewhere closer to home, but was hesitant because I always have bad luck at New places. I made an appointment and Helen did an SNS manicure on me. She is super sweet and GENTLE! I have paper thin nails, but she was aware and didn't overuse the drill on them. I really appreciate her taking the time on me considering my nails are a pain. I wanted to like this place because it's so pink and girly and I love how clean and cute it is. But I took my 3 daughters and we had 4 techs, Tommy, Mia, Michael and someone else I forgot. The only one who was nice and made us feel welcome was Tommy the owner and Kelly. Mia is very rude and Michael seems to get annoyed easy. Can not stand when they talk in Viatnamese and then look and laugh. Ended up talking to Kelly and she was so sweet she gave me two free pedicures to give them a second chance. Wish this was a 5 star review since this salon is so close to me. The positive's are that the salon has a nice atmosphere and great equipment (chairs and stations). The negative's are that the nail tech cut my cuticle to the point that it bled, never apologized and then proceeded to chop at the rest of my cuticles as if she were trimming her shrubs. Too rough!! The gel manicure was really fast and she kept trying to get me to take my hand out of the light too early. The overall experience was just very cold and harsh. The result of my spa pedicure and gel manicure is: Cuticles that are jagged and rough, gel polish that started peeling 1 day after leaving the salon and now five days later all of my gel polish is either completely peeled off or chipped half way up my nail. My toe cuticle is almost healed, but was super sore for three days and continued to re-open and bleed. Yikes! read more

This place has lost my business. The owner is RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL! I called to try and understand why the charge for my two girls were different since they had the same service. He was super impatient, told me to HURRY UP (30 secs into my call) and said I should've brought up the issue when I was there. Which I did but I just wasn't understanding. So I called to ask a question. I could not believe how rude he was being. I wasn't even asking for a refund, I just truly didn't get why my 12 year old was $63 and my 8 year old was $50. DO NOT GO HERE. Literally a one and done experience for me today, I will never be going back. Their manager is beyond rude. I watched him YELL at another customer today. Like yell enough that the WHOLE salon went quiet. I could not believe my eyes. I don't ever want to go somewhere where I have to worry about literally being yelled at! That's no way to treat someone! On top of todays horrible experience the place is WAY too packed and dirty. It's difficult to even maneuver between the rows of salon tables they're so close together and cramped. It's even hard to walk between the tables and pedicure chairs. Feels like packed sardines and they're just trying to get done and get you out of there for the next person. And like I said their cleanliness is definitely questionable. Literally just not worth it, the whole experience was overwhelming, rushed, and awful. And after seeing them literally yell at someone that was the nail in the coffin. My first visit to Pinky was great. I have a severe latex allergy and asked them what kind of gloves they used and they said they only use nitrile gloves. She even showed me the box. Unfortunately, my second visit was NOT good and downright dangerous. This time I went and I saw the nail technician put on what were obviously latex gloves. I asked her if they were latex and she told me no. I asked her to actually show me the box and sure enough they were latex. I then asked her to switch to nitrile gloves, so she did. Ultimately, I should have left after I was misled about the latex gloves. After she started cutting the nails she took off the tip of my toe. I've never had a nail technician do that. Thankfully it didn't bleed too much. I got up and left right after that happened. I'm just grateful it happened to me and not my 9 year old daughter. Was really in need of a silk fill (a what?, I know, I'm old school), but my niece wanted a polish change, so I was gonna settle for the same. We called to see if they were open Xmas Eve and to our delight they were! When we walked in, they took us in immediately and said my girl could do silk if I'd like. The shape + length are great. My nail technician was great! Both Nina + Kelly was just a breath of fresh air and made sure I was satisfied with the service I received which I was very satisfied. I've been to ALOT of nail salons and nobody tops pinky nails (specifically this location) I always see Thao but the few times I've had to see the other nail techs I STILL left happy. They know what they're doing and Thao is so incredibly talented. Sadly I moved to surprise AZ so I'm a little far from them but they're still worth the drive in my opinion. A nail salon that has employees who speak in English all the time, rather than another language, so that customers know what's going on would do 10,000 times the business of the any other nail salons that speaks in a foreign language 99% of the time. So if you are looking for the best nails north of the 101, come to pinky's, but be ready to feel like everyone is talking about you and that if you don't do everything to perfection at a 1/2 second notice, you will you feel like a burden, and you will feel embarrassed. Love this place! Been going here for a little over a year and so far Im quite happy with my mani--pedis. Ive had regular pedicures, the dipping powder manis and full set acrylics. The only one I didnt care for was the dipping powder mani. For me it just looked too thick so I only tried it once. The staff always seems very friendly and they are always busy so I would suggest making appointments. I had a wonderful fill and pedi this evening with Amanda. She is very meticulous and accommodating. I made an appointment for 5:15 pm on a Saturday just for a fill. While working on my fill Amanda asked if I wanted a pedi and I said yes but you're closing shortly. She said no problem she would stay late and do the pedi for me! That is what I call great customer service. I walked out at 7 pm a full hour after closing. The only reason I have given a 4 star rating is the noise level in there. And the noise comes from the staff talking loudly in their language across the room. That might not bother some people but to me its not relaxing at all. I dont see that changing so I would suggest perhaps bringing some earbuds or headphones and listen to some relaxing music. Another reason for 4 stars is the mani chairs are uncomfortable to me. I have a bad back with lots of hardware and Im in pain when I leave. The seat bottoms are worn out and your bum sinks down. Overall this is still the best place in the area especially for the price. Give it a try, you wont be disappointed and bring some earbuds (and maybe a seat cushion). read more

Love the book online through their website feature and their high tech check in. They have plenty staff at this locations so there isn't a long wait. They even offered water to clients. My nail tech does an AMAZING job, however I am leaving a negative review because they have a rewards program when you pay cash and they don't honor it. Every time you arrive you check in with your phone number. Every time you check out you get a text saying thanks for visiting. I always pay with cash and thought my points were being recorded since I always got a thank you text. I've probably spent well over $800 in the last six months. Today I asked how many points I had and he said none. Apparently the rule is that you need to give your phone number again when checking out with cash to get points. I have never been informed of that or asked for my phone number when checking out. There is no signage saying you must give your phone number again. The guy at the checkout is always the same and when I asked what he was going to do about my missing points he said he would give me 250 which takes $15 off the bill. I asked him what about the other 550 points and he made a big deal about how he was doing me a big favor. Please keep in mind there is NO SIGNAGE saying you need to give your number a second time at checkout. It's always the same guy. I always go out of my way to pay cash, and he has NEVER ASKED for my phone number at checkout. I love my nail tech and I'll keep going to her but their customer service sucks so don't except any rewards or good treatment as a long time customer. I'd have left a glowing review if he had just looked at my customer history and credited me for the points I was due. Bad customer service. read more

This salon exemplifies COMPLETE and TOTAL UNPROFESSIONALISM! The staff is HORRIBLE! To begin with, they each do something different and seek to take shortcuts to get you out the door quickly. The work is UNSATISFACTORY and the employees are unable to absorb or accept this. If you mention that anything wasn't done properly, employees get very offended and will talk about you and refuse to assist you! The VERY sad thing is that the owner is supportive of this irrational behavior. Since when is the customer NOT right especially when the work is unsatisfactory?! Additionally, even if you have an appointment, they never take you on time. They make you wait and wait and wait and take NO ownership for treating the customer so poorly. No discounts or apologies! I will never ever step foot in this establishment again and I hope you never ever do. I got a totally rushed pedicure with uneven toenail lengths and a crappy polishing job. The girl who did my pedicure left abruptly and another lady did my polish, without any explanation. Then as I was getting off of my pedi chair I accidentally spilled my tea drink. The manager/owner lady glared at me and totally humiliated me in front of the other customers. I felt like a toddler being scolded for doing something wrong, but it was completely innocent. I have to wonder even how the employees are treated. I will go back to other nail salons I have used in the past. read more
