First, Pinnacle Auto Repair is in South Euclid, Ohio .. note that the website refers to a similar named place in Orange, California. Mike is not part of that operation so any reviews from CA are not referring to the one in South Euclid. Second, I have been going to Mike at Pinnacle since before he started his own company. Both my cars (2004 Honda Accord and 2005 Chevy Classic) are in top shape. He is the reason my 2004 Honda Accord is at 255,000 and still going with great (30+) MPG. When he looks at a problem he will also look for anything else that may or is needing repair, and how soon that repair is needed .. and he gives me estimates. That may raise the visit cost but prevents problems later while on the road. He and Mike Jr are totally trustworthy and know what they are doing. read more

So this morning I woke up to a silver screw jabbed in my front tire and it was going flat fast! I was in a panic driving to work thinking it would blow...I spotted this shop at the light and pulled in hoping that he plugged tires there? The gentleman "Mike Jr." was so kind to stop what he was doing and plug my tire on the spot! I can't thank him enough for his kindness and speedy service!!! I highly recommend this repair shop!!! Very, very disappointed in this place. Mike first insults me by insisting there's no 4th gen 4Runner V8 instead of admitting maybe he doesn't know as much about the truck series as I do (my family owns 3 4Runners!!). But ok, he's maybe not great at social skills. How about his work? Over Priced. He wanted to charge me almost double what I paid elsewhere for the same work--swapping out the lower steering column u-joint. He also got flustered when I asked if I could source the parts. Then, he went into the whole "we gotta keep the lights on" tirade. I stopped listening to him then. Even his assistant at the desk looked like she didn't want to be there. Take a short roll down the road to Total Care. They're the champs who got my truck back onto the road at a fraction of the cost and in a timely fashion. read more

Rude and scammed me out of money. The bill was doubled without consulting me. I needed one tire and an oil change and my bill was $300 because of an "oil treatment" and "dusting the breaks"... when I brought this to the owners attention he was very rude, and told me I was no longer welcome as a customer because in "his neighborhood" he does not negotiate prices. He lowered the bill $60, does not make up for his lack of customer service. read more

Not trustworthy. THEY DID WORK WITHOUT CONSULTING US AND DOUBLED OUR BILL. We were quoted around $300 & it ended up being almost $800. New to the area & first time we used them no problems, maybe a little pricey but we were happy with how close they were and planned to be loyal customers who took both of our cars only there. Second time the mechanic Mike took the liberty of doing work with out consulting us first, not sure what possess a mechanic to do such a wild and uncalled for thing but he said "well it's gonna save you money in the long run". He originally called to tell us what our car needed we agreed but once he started the work he couldn't manage to step away & make sure it was okay with us. When I went to pick up the car no mechanic was at the shop due to some reason that made them close early on a Friday. Turn the car on & the electrical was acting weird & my check engine light was on. The women I paid had no idea what work was done to my car and said to come back Monday if there was an issue. Within a half hour of me driving with my three young children my car went haywire and broke down. I am assuming they rushed to finish the job due to whatever engagement they closed for and did not bother to even check if my check engine light was off. All could of been forgiven but the fact they did work without permission and doubling our bill is unbelievable & lost loyal customers. I now will let everyone know this is not the place to get your car worked on. Not trustworthy. read more

Very disappointed. I pretty much feel like I was robbed. I was quoted $16.95 to do a scan of the car to find a problem. The scan revealed nothing but a mouse nest was found. $69.95 charged for the scan and another $47 to vacuum out the nest. I'm really hoping they have actually found the problem with the car. But I'll never be back unless the original problem returns. read more
