Terrible staff. My mother has dementia and I was interest in having her seen by Dr. Ortstadt. And he is a in network physician for united health care. His front desk would not schedule without a primary care referral. I explained my mom won't see one as she is afraid. A family member MD made a referral as he knows she needs care as he is personally involved (more than a 15 minute primary care appt would know). And we had labs done within 6 months. But their barrier to care front desk would not let us schedule. Shameful. She is in PPO so no referral is needed. The doctors should understand they are losing income over their horrible front desk. And clearly their reputation is affected. Look at the bad reviews! Not because of quality of care but the bad service of the front line. Time for a change! read more

Trying to make an appointment? You will NEVER reach a live person. You are supposed to leave a message, but most times you don't get a call back either. So frustrated that I had to find another primary care doctor. read more

Absolutely ridiculous customer service! Impossible to get anyone to answer the phone - leave messages that never get answered. When ill, told there was no opening to be seen, "you have a scheduled appointment in a couple weeks...." no kidding. So advised to go to a walk in. Crazy! They don't care. Had one doctor in that group, for 7 years, who never even knew who we were after all that time. He retired and we were not notified - had to find out when going to next scheduled 6 month appointment. Definitely looking to change to another physician - this has been awful and not getting any better. Resident program with Blake is commendable but you can count on your office visit taking at least twice as long. Current doctor assigned to me seems very good - but the rest just ruins it. read more

The poor staff are treated so poorly, and can only do what they can. The check out area is completely empty now when it used to be filled. It's impossible to get a call in to schedule an appointment, because it's a skeleton crew at all times. Management continues to push all of their good employees away, and you can hear the employees discuss this among themselves. I gave two stars to honor the hardworking employees, but HCA as a company can do better to support them so they can provide the excellent care I know the providers and staff can give. DO BETTER HCA! read more

Waited 2.5 hours to be seen. Clinic is a total mess. Dirt in all corners of the room, hair hanging from the fire extinguisher in the ceiling from the bent. Garbage cans over full, feels like a third world country hospital. Most interesting was listening to a manager coach the entire staff about a " secret shopper" coming in the next 3 days. By coaching I mean, " just be very nice to them, don't refer them to er like we commonly do, if they want a primary care physician, tell them we will get back to them". Very sad to hear that people have to be told to stop doing the usual things they do because of a surprise visit. I will have to be on my death bed before I come back here. Actually I'll just take their advice and go the er. To continue this adventure, after the doctor saw me, I got to sit in the room and wait more than an hour for him to return. read more

I would give minus stars if I could. Truly maddening place to deal with. My mother sustained a head injury & was in IF U. Upon discharge she was referred to this group. I am her daughter & flew in from another state to care for her. This office gave me the run around & kept telling me they couldn't schedule her an appt until they had referral which was sent 3 times & followed with 2 phone calls from PC Dr. They finally confirmed that they had referral but needed additional info. They couldn't tell me what that additional info was, just that they couldn't schedule appt without it. I was trying to be proactive & was willing to get whatever they needed & hand deliver it. We wasted days trying to get an appt. I tried to speak with office administration but only got voicemail. At which point I decided I didn't trust my mother's care with these people. It should not be that difficult to schedule an appt especially for such a serious injury. I feel bad for people who don't have someone to advocate for them. They could die waiting for an appt. read more

Was on vacation and ended up with a stress fracture after running a half marathon. Called and found out when the best time to come is to best avoid a long wait (first thing in the morning and shortly after lunch). I arrived around 1:30pm, waited about 15 minutes to be taken back to the room and was seen by the physician almost immediately. I had an X-ray taken and was seen by the physician again just prior to being discharged. I was out of there right around 2:45pm. Very satisfied with that! The facilities were clean and well organized. The staff was friendly and everyone greeted me when I arrived and as I left. Being from out of town I didn't know what to expect, but couldn't have had a better experience. We vacation on AMI every year and this was a great find. I have already recommend Pinnacle to our friends who vacation in the area as well. read more

My husband and I were with them for one year and we couldn't take it anymore. This office is the worst I have ever experienced. It takes forever to get a message to your doctor (if they get it to him) and it takes days for them to get back to you. Refills? Make sure you ask them a least a week in advance and maybe you'll get lucky and get them. Our doctor was test happy and unsympathetic. Even though our records were sent to the office the doctor never had them and knew nothing about our past. If you want to feel like a patient and not a number......STAY AWAY! This place is poorly managed and they just don't give a damn. read more

I was called by a not so nice person to tell me they received my referral to their office. " It will be a wait of 2 months to 1 year" ??? I laughed. I thought she might have been kidding, then I stated, "that is totally unacceptable" We are Tri Care patients, my husband is retired Navy. No response from her. My wife fell on her left shoulder. Went into this establishment and basically was told they couldn't help her.....WITHOUT having any medical staff assess her injury!! The lady at the desk told us we may as well go to the emergency room because they couldn't do xrays without a doctor's ordering same and if it was dislocated, they would have to send her to the emergency room anyway, so we would be "wasting our money" here! This was after telling them she is on Medicare and we have a Supplemental policy as well! And again, this was done without any examination by medical personnel!! Unbelievable!! We went to the emergency room at Blake and it was a zoo! We were told it would be a 2 hour wait to be seen by a doctor. We were at wits end. My wife recalled going by an Urgent Care on Manatee that had a big sign out front indicating they had been awarded a "Peoples Choice" award. So we headed there. This now was going on an hour or more since she fell. This is where things changed for the better! The folks at Bradenton Urgent Care could not have been nicer and any more professional. They got her in right away, took xrays and diagnosed her with a fractured clavicle. Gave us referral to an orthopedic doctor, instructions on what to do until we could get into him and a prescription for a figure-of-eight brace! In other words....they acted like they cared. Obviously, we know who to go to in the future! Have never had a worse experience with a so-called urgent care facility than Pinnacle. So surprising based on their reviews but this is what our experience was and we felt others should know. read more

Seemed nice on the phone.. but after arriving at their office, the office "woman" was not at all helpful about anything - - appeared she just wanted to get me in and out, regardless of my trying to ask a question or two concerning the office procedures. Just spent 4 hours with a very sick child at this facility. My daughter was so sick she could barely hold her head up. Our nurse (red head and even though I requested her name, I was never able to get it) told my daughter to sit in the chair as we waited for the Doctor. The Doctor came in and was wonderful. He told my daughter to please sit on the bed while he listened to her lungs and looked at her thoroughly. She was diagnosed with a severe upper respiratory infection. Doctor left and the nurse came back in, raised her voice , rolled her eyes, and huffed as she said "WHY are you in the bed, I told you to sit on the chair. Now I have to change the sheets, why would you sit there". At this point this momma LOST IT. I asked to see office manager or HR person. The nurse then tried to block me as I left the exam room. She then yells "I said I was sorry". Extremely sick kid and this woman yells at my daughter because she will have to change the sheets! I was then greeted by a HR staff member. I requested the right to file a formal complaint but was denied it. She said she would handle it. What makes this sad is there are wonderful people working there but I will never go back due to this incompetence. This nurse needs to figure out exactly what being a nurse means. read more
