Pino's truly checks all the boxes! The staff is warm and welcoming, and the owner never forgets a customer--it's that kind of place. They serve the best penne vodka and chicken francese around, but my personal favorites are the Filet Mignon Ravioli and the Chicken Pino--absolutely delicious. It's BYOB and conveniently located right next to a liquor store (perfect if you need a quick refill!). Plus, the outdoor patio is perfect now that the weather's warming up. We tried this place tonight since we tried it several years ago when it first opened. We heard from other people that liked it so thought to give it another try. We were there not early but about 6:30pm, place was busy but tables were still open, it was Sat evening. We sat down. We got water, then bread came 30 min later. My husband was never asked if he wanted something besides water. Place is BYOB but usually places serve soda. No one asked and he tried several times to get someone's attention. He then just gave up. Our wings came and were okay. Another local pizza place has similar breaded wings so nothing special. We waited until shortly after 8 pm for our dinner. I got the chicken franchese and my husband got pizza. It was a lot so we needed boxes. I am pretty sure they only boxed half my pasta and threw the rest away because the whole plate was pasta. My husband got a small pizza box back but had ordered a regular large since that was the only size. The pizza was just thrown in. Pieces had lost all of their toppings and it was a complete mess. My husband spoke to whom we assumed was the owner. He wanted to put it just in a larger box but it was already a mess. No apology or anything. We are never going back! There are multiple good Italian restaurants in the area within 20-30 mins from us and this is NOT one of them! Save your money! Go somewhere else! read more

Decent food but be prepared to WAIT. On a Tuesday we arrived at 6:10 and had essentially seat ourselves. The bus teams gave us water and bread and we didn't have any further contact for 20 min. After finally putting in appetizers - pasta fagioli and eggplant rollitini - we waited another 20 min. The flavor was there but not worth the wait at all. Entrees didn't come out until after 7:05. Again flavor was good but not worth a wait like this. The owner was walking around BS'ing with customers while the kitchen and wait staff were moving like SNAILS. For the price, we expect at least a glass, not cheap plastic cups. The ambiance was decent but the lighting could be improved. Honestly the experience was so crappy I just had to come back and lower to one star. Decent flavors but get your act together. Cannot wait over an hour for two sandwiches, a soup and eggplant. If you are looking for a venue for a group gathering, I highly recommend Pino's on Rt. 31 in Clinton. I have attended several gatherings there (birthdays, engagement, baby shower, retirement) and have never been disappointed. Food is excellent and plentiful. Very attentive owner and staff. We got to the restaurant around 815pm. They closed at 9pm but said no problem. Didn't feel rushed one second. Apps we had meatballs and the baby greens salad. Yum. Entrees I had the grilled Alaskan salmon with broccoli raabe. My husband had the veal saltimbocca over linguine. My salmon portion was gigantic and my husbands plate was overflowing! Went here while passing through Clinton.... our first time and it will definitely NOT be our last!!! Super friendly as soon as we walked in, clean , and the smell....... yummmmm!!! We started with the rice balls,,,, delicious, and that damn sauce,,,,, I literally ate the remainder with a spoon.... I had the saltibocca , and my husband had the chicken parm. Tried Pino's for the first time today and it was outstanding! We had the margarita pie and it was sublime. The crust was paper thin, crunchy and delicious. The marinara was tangy and sweet. Pino's is one of the few Italian food establishment in the county that serves authentic Italian cuisine. With reasonable prices, and the liqour store right next door (it's byob), an evening of good food and drink and friends is not only affordable but memorable. For pastas I recommend the Tagliatelle Bolognese which has thick, fresh noodles and a creamy meat sauce that is complimented by a bottle of Chianti. For a pizza night at home or out with friends, the Mediterranean pizza with chorizo and olives is delicious option. Pino's is my go to place for pizza. My parents frequent Pino's at least once a week for dinner and they love the arugula with roasted beets salad with grilled Salmon on top. Pino himself is a charming individual and can often be found visiting with his customers and serving the food. Only complaint I have is the wait staff. They're mostly young, and could use some lessons in fine dining service. Otherwise, they check up often enough, smile, and are pleasant. read more

I'm so happy that I found this place. Everything I've had there has been fabulous. Even packed to go. I started with chicken parm. It was delicious. Moved in to the veal parmigiana and it is very good!! Three large pieces of real veal with linguini. I got 2 dinners out of it. The eggplant rollentini melts in your mouth. Meatballs in vodka sauce just as good. Next time I'm going for the veal saltambica. I don't see how I can go wrong. Excellent staff, very friendly and professional. read more
