It's one of the first places you come to when entering the whole food area. However, you have to go up the hilly road to find the parking lot. The place is nice with indoor and outdoor seating. Outside it has an area with 2 TV's, basketball was playing. I loved all the decor. There are chickens and chicks around the restaurant and a cat that stopped by our table. BEWARE of the mosquitoes. We sat outdoors and I made a mention of the mosquitos and Mara said they had just run out of bug spray. One person in our party was wearing shorts and got bitten quite a bit. Mara was our waitress. She was extremely helpful and nice. We ordered the plantain soup, the avocado stuffed with cod fish and tri-fongo, and the sopa de mariscos with tostones. All was delicious.

To start, I had a chicken and cheese empanada, and a mango mojito. For the entree I had fried pork chops, with Trifongo (mixture of green plantain, yucca and sweet plantain), rice and beans, and tostones. Since I was staying at a hostel, I ordered enough to have leftovers for the next day. This place became more crowded as the early evening came on. I arrived around 6pm. By the time I left at 7:30, it was packed. There is an open grille at the entrance of the restaurant so you can watch them grilling meats. Relaxed and casual vibes. This is an after the beach, popular restaurant. Food was pretty good. Service was solid, nothing over the top. I would return.

This one in particular was just a gut feeling, and it left my gut very HAPPY! This place was not busy when we arrived but by the time we left it was hopping! The service at first was a little questionable due to my limited spanish, but we found a way to communicate effectively and ended up ordering a bunch of different items and a couple of drinks. The place is an open walled restaurant right off the road and the view is ever changing. There is no doubt this is authentic Puerto Rican fare. We were watching them prepare these items over open flames and open wood fired grills. Overall the service was excellent even with language barriers! All of the food we tried from fresh shrimp, to candied papaya and barbeque chicken from the grill. Everything was delicious. Super fresh and very tasty food that I wish we found on the first day -instead of on the last day! The prices and value are amazing! If you go to San Juan - Go here first! That kind of hospitality is rare and I can't say enough about it. Now for my one nitpick, and this is a me problem more than a them problem: I don't totally love Puerto Rican food. This is authentic comida criolla, which pulls from Caribbean, Latin American, and Spanish influences all at once, and my picky palate keeps asking what exactly it's trying to be. But the vibes, the people, and the setting made the whole experience more than worth it. Come for the criollo cooking, stay for one of the warmest rooms in San Juan.

Solid start. This is a classic chinchorro spot, so we went straight for the fried stuff: a bacalaito and two pastelillos (langosta y carne). The pastelillos were the real stars--perfectly crunchy, flaky, and stuffed with well-seasoned fillings. Our server accidentally broke the carne one and, without missing a beat, threw in an extra on the house. That kind of easygoing generosity is exactly the vibe you want from a roadside spot. The bacalaito had great flavor, though I'd have loved a little more crunch on it. Service was friendly and fast throughout. All of this (food, drinks, tax, and tip) came in under $25. No complaints there. If you're doing the chinchorreando thing along Route 187, put Donde Olga on the list. Highly recommend.

The service was a little confusing at first. We were seated and expected to access the menu through a QR code, which wasn't immediately explained to us. We were also seated near one of the air conditioning units, which made some members of our party feel a bit cold during the meal. However, once the food arrived, all of those concerns quickly disappeared. The food was incredible. Rich, flavorful, and beautifully prepared, every dish at the table was delicious. The arroz con pollo was honestly the best I have ever had in my life. It was perfectly seasoned, comforting, and packed with flavor. Every bite felt like authentic Puerto Rican cooking at its best. I would absolutely return on a future visit to Puerto Rico.
