So happy to have discovered Pino's Pizza! I often drive to Florida and spend the night at a hotel in Lumberton, NC. Usually I bring my dinner because I refuse to eat fast food along the way. Last week I did not bring dinner and was prepared to go without until I saw the sign for Pino's at exit 121. I was so happy to see this adorable pizza shop right off the highway and even happier when I took a bite of the freshly prepared amazing slice! So delicious and now I don't have to bring my dinner with me anymore as I will be looking forward to Pino's Pizza on my drives from NY to Florida. And PS Pino's is better than NY pizza! read more

Some of my friends ate here once and hated it, so I was curious to see why - especially after reading all of the amazing reviews here on Yelp. The dining atmosphere isn't the greatest...but the food was divine! We ordered pizza by the slice - pepperoni and Italian sausage, as well as the Garlic Knots. I think 1 star is too much for this place. This place was horrible. As soon as I walked in there was a nice ambience so I expected a delicious ny style pizza. We had ordered a buffalo chicken pizza for pickup, they said 20 minutes and we got there a few minutes later. When we got there our pizza was not ready so we had to wait. When they gave us our pizza, it was extremely cold and hard. It appears as if they took an old plain pizza that was sitting there and threw the chicken and buffalo sauce on it. Now I understand that due to the Coronavirus epidemic they might be short staffed or I don't know the reason because there was barely any customers, but that was a total waste of money. I think I may be a bit bias in my five star review and I'll tell you all why. This pizzeria only delivers to hotels! I suppose if I had been ordering from anywhere else I would not have taken this news so nicely! I'm in North Carolina on business and staying at a local hotel. Since Pino's only delivers to hotels I thought it might be right up my alley since I deplore Domino's and did not feel the urge to go out anywhere. I ordered the chicken gyro, which was piping hot and full of fresh ingredients. The salads are also very tasty and also packed with freshness. The delivery was super fast and the food was all fresh! We were passing through NC on way home and looking for a quick, reasonably priced non chain lunch. This place has some seriously good food. We got 5 different entrees and all were yummy. Stopped by for lunch on our way home to MD from Myrtle Beach and were happy to find a place just off the beltway that had outdoor seating. Hubby and I shared a small cheese pizza - the sauce and cheese were tasty but the crust was a little on the "doughy" side. The staff is extremely friendly and keep both the inside and outside clean the only issue is that there is a table situated right by the soda machine and it makes it difficult to get by when people are sitting there as they were when we visited. I felt rude having to have the man pull his chair in so I could get by. read more

Being of Italian descent, from Rhode Island and foodies, we're extremely particular about our eats when we're away from home. This is the second time we chose Pino's on an overnight stay in Wilson, NC while traveling through to FL. Pino's DELIVERED fresh, delicious food in a short span of time. We ordered the Veggie Stromboli and Grilled Chicken Salad. The stomboli arrived HOT with a light dough and pleasingly seasoned. The salad veggies were ALL FRESH! The pineapple chunks were a delightful complement to the lightly spiced chicken. I chose the vinaigrette dressing (there were several choices); it was served on the side and did not overpowered the salad. Ordering was easy. The person I spoke to on the phone was pleasant and helpful. I highly recommend Pino's and will surely visit the next time we roll through Wilson. read more

The restaurant wasn't anything special to look at, especially because it is in a little strip mall but the fabulous pizza made up for the aesthetics. It was however very clean inside and out. We ordered the 18" extra cheese and pepperoni. The cheese was a chewy, wonderful mozzarella and the crust was perfectly cooked. Wow! What a pleasant surprise finding this place. The husband and I were on our way to NC from NY. I prefer local restaurants to fast food chains. We waited too long to eat and I was getting hangry. It looked like we were going to BK and then I noticed Pinos. So glad We ate there! We split a garden salad (nicely chilled romain lettuce with ample portion) and a Stromboli (monster size and their own fresh made marinara). The food was very good quality, the gentleman who waited on us was very personable and honest. This was a cute pizza cafe on the way back from Myrtle beach, right off of the highway. Very easy to get to. The place was kinda small but cozy, lots of families came to get some lunch while we were there. The young man at the counter was very sweet and attentive. We asked for the pizza a little crispy and it came out perfectly. They serve Pepsi products, which I love. The crust was a little on the less gluteny side which made it a little dry. Don't hang up on a customer who is trying to give you a chance to fix your error. I ordered 2 orders of kids fingers for my two kids. One of the orders had 2 chicken fingers and then some pieces of cut up chicken cutlet as if we wouldn't notice. They didn't tell me they ran out of chicken fingers. We ordered 2 chicken salads with extra chicken on one of them. And just like the chicken fingers, they just hoped we wouldn't notice that they just cut up the chicken smaller to try to make it look like more. When I called to explain what happened, they said I would need to bring the food back for them to do anything. This is even after admitting that they in fact just replaced a chicken finger with chicken cutlet. After 13 hours of driving, my family was already eating the food. Bringing back the food wasn't an option. I said I could come back to get the extra chicken. The woman on the phone said, "he said you have to bring the food back so he can look at it". I'm assuming by "he", she meant the owner. Of course at this point, I'm a little upset. So I raised my voice, saying "Are you kidding me!" Which at that point she hung up. I don't like to resort to complaining on yelp. If a restaurant messes up, I try to give them the opportunity to fix it. Too bad, they made no effort to fix their error. read more
