Cute but expensive given the location. Bowling is completely overpriced and they refused to allow us to bowl with an extra person since we made the reservation for 10 not 11. They also overcharged us after the fact for the 11th person. Service was pretty good for a Saturday so that made up for the odd experience while checking in. Overall, I won't be visiting this location for bowling again but would certainly go back to try their dining. I used to frequent them in IL and enjoyed their flatbread and brunch options. read more

I really wanted to like this place. But my experience wasn't great. we had a 10:30 reservation for brunch today. The host and hostess, both looked annoyed to be there. First the guy started checking us in , and this lady come up and we'll i guess she was more important because he completely stopped what he was doing. Pinstripes is a great place! Three of us reserved a lane during happy hour and had a great time bowling, which was simple to set up. We got wait service fairly quickly and the drinks were delivered quickly as well. The only weird thing about my experience is when a female employee very abruptly interrupted the conversation by telling me that she needed the booth I was sitting in. The lane we reserved was across from an empty lane, which I was only going to sit in until someone else came, but the employee's interjection was surprising and a little curt - no smile or apology. This interaction made me seriously consider giving a 2 star review instead. It was a bit sour, but our actual server was very helpful. The food was great and appropriately priced based on quality and quantity. The flatbreads here are so. good. Get a flatbread. And overall - great spot for happy hour! The drink prices are super reasonable ($4 house wines & beer, all cocktails are $8 on Thursday) and everything on the happy hour food menu that we ordered was really good - actually got seconds of almost everything. Chicken and Avocado Flatbread, Yellowtail Tuna Flatbread, Bacon Sliders and Steak Sliders were all great and actually were a regular portion at a lower price instead of making the portion smaller and lowering the price as some places do for HH. Bowling area was rented out for a company event when we came here on Thursday (as it often is), so we did a few rounds of bocce instead. A little on the expensive side there @ $10 a person to just throw bocce balls down the lane, but an easy group activity. Having attended school in Georgetown and lived in the area for sometime I had been wanting to check out Pinstripes for awhile. I finally had the chance recently to check out Pinstripes for my sorority reunion. Wanting to plan for a nice sit down meal that was still affordable and doable for a large crowd - I opted to make reservations for a group of 18. Definitely plan to make reservations at least a 2-3 weeks in advance for a large group, and even opt for a reservation in smaller groups (maybe a week out). Now for what you really care about -- the food. The Pinstripes Brunch was one of my all time favorite brunch experiences. As an Italian woman, I was delighted to be able to enjoy a buffet styled brunch with an eclectic mix of breakfast staples such as: bagels, bacon, eggs, and sausage to Italian lunch favorites: pizza, lasagna, campanelle noodles, and two types of salad: (Caesar and garden). There was honestly so much to choose from that I couldn't recall each dish. A few highlights were: the carving station, omelet bar, and of course -- the chocolate fountain. Also, I recommend opting in for the bottomless mimosas (if you're of age) as they definitely make sure you get your $$ worth. I came here for a work function, and we had all the bocce sections reserved :D Pinstripes has several locations (IL, MN, DC, KS, and soon to be in TX, CA, and MD) - they are a bar/bistro/entertainment space, where you can enjoy cocktails, live blues & jazz, partake in leagues/clubs (for bowling & bocce!), as well enjoy the nice menu with tasty items (such as pizzas, flatbreads, soup, salads, sandwiches, and pastas) to fill your belly. Located in The Shops at Georgetown Park, when you enter, it's the bar/dining area; if you make your way towards the back, passing by the kitchen, they have a bowling and bocce area (which are separated). The staff here were very attentive and helpful, and gave you informative rules of how to play. Bites that I've tried out were: Fried Mac & Cheese (loved the crispy battered exterior and the cheesy interior), Feta & Spinach Stuffed Phyllo (little spanakopitas that were slightly crispy and delicious! Yum!), Pesto Chicken Skewers (well-cooked), Italian Meat & Cheese platter (crostinis, cheeses, salamis, olives, prunes, etc.), and mini Meatball & Chicken Parm subs (the chicken Parm was really good with a good marinara sauce on it). The place is great for private parties, birthdays, and even school trips. My fiancé booked a private party for my birthday and everybody had a great time! We contacted group reservations a few weeks in advance and were able to book 2 lanes for 2 hours of bowling (we ended up adding an extra hour for an additional charge), in addition to a food minimum. Unlimited bowling and shoes are included in the package. We worked with Christina, who was friendly and provided us prompt and detailed information. Due to our group size, we ordered from the catering menu. We indulged in the salad platter, fruit tray, prosciutto caprese sliders, baked mac'n'cheese, and Italian sliders (chicken parm and Italian meatball). The portions were more than enough for 20 people and there were plenty of leftovers to take home. Drinks were a la carte. Service was attentive and quick throughout the evening and we didn't feel rushed. The bowling itself isn't anything out of the ordinary. However, the technology is better than other bowling alleys that I've been to (it was easy to input and edit names), and the monitors show you how much time you have left once you get down to the 30 minute mark. Overall, we had a fun experience and everybody else in our group did as well. I would definitely consider Pinstripes again for my next event. read more

We had a tons of fun coming here last night for bowling, drinks, and dinner. We showed up around 7ish(Tuesday night) with a group of 12 people. All Yelpers coming to hang. No one was that familiar with one another which was pretty much the point of the event -- to bring Yelpers together who were looking to meet new people. Some waited for all to arrive at the bar which is located at the entrance near the hostess stand. Once everyone closed out, we paid for our bowling shoes and a couple games of bowling at the front where we received the shoes. * 1 game of bowling is $5 * 1 pair of bowling shoes is $4 Pretty reasonable considering this is Georgetown we are talking about. Happy hour is from 3-7pm then resumes at 9pm until close. We caught about an hour and a half of the h.h. on the latter portion of our hangout. Note they have specials nightly. On Tuesdays they have $5 burgers. For my dinner, I settled for one of their sandwiches which run from $12-15 depending on what you get. They have a pretty decent selection of items from sandwiches like my prucuitto caprese, pizzas, salads, pastas, flat breads of all sorts, and entrees that boast of a little bit more sophisticated touch like the Chilean sea bass that LaDonna ordered for her meal. Oh yeah, and of course they offer dessert which I might add was really good. Some things I really appreciated about the place aside from the good quality food fare and pricing was how clean and sleek the place is. It doesn't have the typical bowling alley funk that usually I associate with bowling alleys. This place is scaled for a nicer crowd without the pretentious attitude of Georgetown or prices that accompany that stereotype. Pinstripes is a place I could definitely come back to and enjoy again and again. We'll have to have something like this again some time soon. read more

Literally the most fancy bowling alley I've ever been to. You would never know that Pinstripes is a bowling alley as you walk in. It is VERY clean, and lacks that typical bowling alley stench. In addition to the bowling lanes, Pinstripes also has a bar, restaurant quality food, and bocce ball. Unfortunately the lanes fill up very quickly on the weekend. So make sure that you either make a reservation in advance, or your party should be flexible with playing bocce ball. My group went ahead and played bocce ball in 2 their semi-private bocce ball lanes in the back. Surrounded by comfy chairs and bar surfaces, it was perfect for everyone to order their dinner and drinks! We ordered a couple margarita pizzas, spinach dip, lasagna, calamari, and wine. Again, I can't stress this enough. The food was up to par with a midrange italian restaurant. You won't believe this is bowling alley food. Bottom line: OMG this is bowling alley food?! read more

We came as a group of some 35 people, so in all fairness, it may have been the "family style" form of eating and rushed service to get us all fed that put me off more than anything. The dining area for groups seems like a big family attic that they cleared away to place some makeshift tables and then place white linens and flatware for our benefit. I like to feel that even though there are a lot of people and a tight schedule, that the team is cool and can handle anything otherwise please dont accept handling a large group. The food was plentiful, fine temperature-wise, tasty enough, there were choices for prima, secondi e terzi piatti... semplici ma bene. It seems to have alot of activities going on from what the signs pointed to.. even a bowling alley? It is on the canal, which unfortunately is not taken full advantage to sit and peruse the waters. This place is so much bigger than I thought! Right when you walk in they have a nice bar with several TV's to keep you occupied if there happens to be a wait time. There is a restaurant area with tables and an entire upstairs devoted to private events. You walk by 3-4 indoor bocce courts on your way back to the lanes. Once you finally find your way to the bowling lanes there are about 10 or so lanes. The lanes themselves really felt weird. Maybe it was just the really low ceilings or something but it seemed odd. They also didn't have much of a selection as it came to bowling balls. Oh well. The space itself is very nice and they serve up pretty tasty food. There was a child's birthday party a few lanes down and every time they came by with food we were staring. I mean, they had an entire serving tray full of fries. A tray. Ask for an outside table...got seated...waiter says he will be back with water. Doesn't come to us for 15 min....the manager (Riley) got the water and mimosas set up for us. I asked her what happened to our waiter; she said he got some tables inside, ok cool got busy? No problem. Omelette guy? He gets 10 stars out of 5. I'm literally sitting outside right now as I had to go in and ask for thecheck to our original waiter who said ok and it's been another 15 minutes. I'll add in he was just chatting at the host station with others so my bad if I interuppted an important convo but Jesus Christ I wantto leave now and am just waiting. I came here for the Hilary Clinton 2016 fundraiser. Pinstripes is an awesome venue! It felt like a country club. The place is huge! So much space and everything feels new, fresh, and clean. The fundraiser included a buffet and their food was pretty good. I loved the bruschetta and all the different kinds of pizza. Their cheese was so flavorful, def not just mozzarella on their pizzas. I don't know how much the food is usually, but flavor wise everything seemed good. Pinstripes is two floors with the bottom floor reaching far far back like a football stadium. Haha jk. But there is so much space. Perfect to rent out for parties. They had 4 lanes of Bocce. I've never played, but it looks fun. There were about 10 bowling lanes. The layout of the bowling lanes were kind of cramp, but it was fun to play. I really appreciated how clean everything felt. Usually bowling alleys have that dirty greasy feel. Pinstripes felt very clean and refined. I'm assuming it cost a bit more than regular bowling and they have free new socks if you forgot yours. This place is def catered towards people with money, not surprised since this is Georgetown. This is not your average bowling alley. Pinstripes manages to have a good bar feel too. There are high top tables near one of the bars. I appreciated the free lemonade at their little lemonade stand. That was super cute. We had just hit a huge milestone for work and decided to rent out a few bowling lanes and kick back for a legitimate happy hour. Strange mix but what an awesome set up. This place is enormous and can easily fit whatever party size you are trying to accommodate. The location is right off Wisconsin and not too far from the water so just perfect. We had a group of around 10 people and had reserved the back area with open bar and food served out. The food consisted of Chicken Parm sandwiches along with various types of pizza, two salads, and dessert selection. Our server was just a complete gem and really good with all the horsing around our group was doing. Wish I had remembered her name but all of the folks were just friendly in general. The bowling alley itself was perfect and had swanky couches where we could all lounge while drinking/eating/bowling. The food itself was actually really solid. The chicken parm sandwiches were moist with the perfect amount of cheese. The pizza was solid but the fig and prosciutto pizza definitely was amazing. The salads were solid and cheesecake was delicious as well. They had a good selection of alcohol. All in all, a great place for large groups, company events, or just to hang out for a bit before heading down to the water to have more drinks on the patio area. read more

The ceiling has only half of its panels which is insane for the price point. The food was mediocre. And the drinks weren't great either. The lane malfunctioned numerous times and I witnessed one group move to another area due to the same problem. Over $200 to bowl in an unfinished basement is a no for me. Who knew such a good bowling place was in D.C., let alone Georgetown? I went here with the group mentioned in a lot of reviews and genuinely enjoyed myself. Pinstripes itself is immaculately clean, very well organized, and generally quite well-kept - it's a far cry from the cheap-ish bowling alleys outside of D.C. It has a full bar, approximately 8-10 lanes, and a few bocce ball lanes - basically, all you could really ask for, should you want to enjoy yourself with a small group. The beer selection is quite good - Dogfish is on tap, which always wins with me. Price-wise, this place is a steal - $5/game + $4 for shoes. They obviously make their money on drinks, which is fine by me. Ultimately, to my knowledge, you can't do much better in D.C. or in the immediate area. read more

I also tried the carved ham, pasta, chicken tenders, waffle station and a couple desserts. The waffle station was pretty good. I highly recommend the Nutella waffle, delish! I was expected wings but the chicken tenders they had were actually pretty good. We also took advantage of the bottomless mimosas. Overall the food was good, our waitress kept our glasses full.
