Pineapple fried rice. Not great No chicken

Have to agree with a recent poor review. Young man taking order seemed disinterested in his job. The pineapple chicken fried rice was small and oily with literally a thimble of chicken Not sure what caused the decline Not eager to return

A poor excuse for garlic basil chicken

Their food went to hell overnight. Ordered the Basil Chicken and its overcooked chicken breast (not thigh as it used to be), watery sauce, a completely different breading, and barely any basil. Flavorless garbage. We will not return. This is a disgrace. It used to be good.

Stopped by for some Pad See Ew here and enjoyed it. They were very quick to get my food out to me. The only thing was that the veggies were a bit overcooked, other than that it had great flavor.

Seriously amazing food! Just stopped by the trucks to decide on something for lunch. Didn't go craving Thai, but saw Pinto and decided it sounded good. We ordered chicken pad cashew, pineapple fried rice, and crab Rangoon. The wait wasn't long, but it would've been worth most any wait. Lunch was DELICIOUS. Loads of beautiful bright fresh veggies. Amazing taste...a feast for the eyes and the stomach! We loved EVERYTHING we ate. I've stopped at this truck court many times....why o why haven't I chosen Pinto before today?! I will be back...probably every time I pass through Sandy.

Ordered the chicken pad Thai, chicken pad see ew, and the salad rolls. Both noodle dishes were really good. They don't ask if you want it spicy or not so if you do like it spicy ask for chili oil on the side! The portions were solid as well. The salad rolls were good but I wasn't a huge fan of their peanut sauce which is typically one of my favorite sauces. It is located in a food truck park so it's outdoor seating only. Overall I highly recommend it.

    Khao Man Gai (Chicken rice)

We've ordered dinner from Pinto Thai three times in the last two weeks. There are two other Thai restaurants in Sandy but what drew us to to Pinto Thai was the Khao Man Gai (Chicken Rice). Nice, to not have to go into Portland for this dish.  The Chicken rice was tasty and the Khao Man Gai sauce is packed with flavor.  The Crispy Basil Garlic Chicken was perfectly crisp.  The Pad Kra Prow was really flavorful over jasmine rice.  The salad rolls are a great compliment and the peanut sauce is slightly sweet and a good different.  We love that peanut sauce! Portion size is enough to share or leftovers for the next day.  So happy to have found Pinto Thai at the Sandlandia Food Cart Pod in downtown Sandy. They're open 11 am-8pm and located just off the highway. There are a few parking spots in the pod and street parking.

Love this place! Fresh fast and pleasant service. Have had variety of the menu (which they updated over the summer)

Updating my review since my first one was right when they opened here in Sandy. I added one star to this one because they have added more interesting items and I think their food is a little better. Today I had Chicken pad Thai, Tofu salad rolls and Thai iced coffee. They have better packaging now and my pad Thai was very good, it had a good amount of fresh garlic which was a nice surprise, along with 2 big wedges of lime and lots of fresh crunchy bean sprouts. The salad rolls were very fresh and tasty, I would have liked a fresh mint leaf in there for more flavor. The peanut sauce was nice and warm so that was a bonus. The Thai iced coffee was great, it was nice and strong and mixed with real cream. I really need to explore the menu more and try some different dishes. Next time it will be the Tom Yum noodle soup!

Wow. Absolutely impressive. Will be back and probably our new favorite Thai place. Kaho Man Gai is amazing. Reminds me of Nongs.

They have a small and cozy dining hall that was full. I had all ready had an idea of what I would order but quickly looked at the menu just in case I wanted to take additional item home. I ordered papaya salad, pad see ew, and tom ka soup. I also got a thai tea to go. I might have waited 15-20 minutes for my order. There were also several call in orders that people came in to pick up. I am surprised at the speed they produced the food. The bench seat had a small view of the kitchen. I believe this is a very efficient full fledged family restaurant. Everyone was friendly and nice. The way they packaged the food was thoughtful. I had a 20 minute drive back home. It stayed warm /hot and no leakage even with the soup. Now the food: Papaya salad was delicious. Great flavor. My only issue is it was marked on the menu as spicy. *Morgan Freeman voice* -it was not in fact spicy. It was completely spice free. I know that SE asians are sweet to profile us pale people as no heat, but I was really looking forward to spice.... So for next time I will request heat added as I am a non-practicing alabaster person. To be fair, every fair complexion person with a togo order clarified that their food was "non spicy." I can't call them out for playing it safe. Yes queens. Pad see ew: shrimp was my protein. It was delicious. Regular broccoli was used. Chinese broc might be out of season. I don't care. It was great. Will eat again FR. Tom ka soup: the gem of this story. They made it without onions, be praised, as I have a horrible allergy and most of my one star food reviews are about food safety in relationship to ignoring food allergies. This was fresh, flavorful, bright. Great protein to both ratio. Probably one of the best versions I have ever had. Will be ordering again. Probably regularly. Thai tea: was great. Ice, tea, milk ratio good. I like less ice in my drinks... she somehow knew this. Now I know if I want Thai I have a place to call Thai Home (see what I did there), that I won't have to drive twice the distance to Portland to get fantastic Thai food. Honestly, I think this is way better than most of the thai restaurants in the greater portland area. Thank you for a wonderful dinner and subsequent left overs! 10/10.

Because I will be back. We started off strong with a table full of appetizers. It was one of those "everyone grab something" moments, and listen... I had been up since 6am, starving, and completely forgot to take pictures until it was basically too late. But trust me, that alone should tell you how good it was. Crab puffs? Gone. Creamy, crispy perfection. Fried spring rolls? Devoured without hesitation. But that salt and pepper shrimp?? LISTEN. It tasted like somebody's grandma was in the back cooking with love. I could've eaten that as my full meal 10 times over and still asked for more. Then came the angel wings... OMG. At this point I was already full, borderline mad about it, because I wanted to keep eating. And I'm not usually a leftovers person....but these? Plus that one last shrimp sitting there? Oh no... they came home with me. And the best part? EVERYONE loved their food. No misses at the table. If you're debating, don't. Just go. And go hungry.
