This is a fantastic pub in downtown Denver. Across the street from the Denver Art Museum which was really convenient for a visit there after lunch. We had the New World fish and chips which was excellent. Good piece of grilled salmon. I love the interior. Old building, transformed into an incredibly fun lively pub. The fish and chips is not the usual that you would expect in a British Pub. It is salmon and skinny fries with a side salad. I tried it with the Asian dressing, it was delicious. They have a massive whiskey collection along with British Ales and Ciders. read more

Wish I would have taken pictures because I got a beer that was 1/4 of the way filled with foam, a very underdone, unflavorful, cold, and tough London broil, and the mixed drink glasses are very small. As far as service, the vibes are just tough, and we heard the waitress and bartender talking negatively about customers in another part of the restaurant. $60 for some bad food and drinks, so not worth it. Came here for dinner last night with colleagues. For appetizer we got the cheese plate. That was pretty good with the dill cheese, ham, and other assortment of stuff. The fries with the gravy on it was really good. The gravy seemed to have a heavy nutty flavor and was just delicious along with the cheese on the fries. For main plate i got the lamb skewers. The meat was well marinated but the skewers turned out too well done and extremely dry. The wasabi aioli was a nice touch for the lamb though. read more

A themed British pub close to downtown Denver. If you're looking for drinks and some pub good, this is a solid choice. With a few patio seats and tables inside as well, you are sure to find a spot to suit any preference. Food is a little less in the options arena, but they have bangers and mash, which made me happy. The only thing missing from the menu were Scotch eggs, but that's hit or miss at a lot of pubs so no biggie. Server was really friendly and funny. So I work down the street a block away and for years this has been my go too! Best fish and chips in Denver area. The food has a British background with a bit of a US twist! The fish and chips are actually flame grilled salmon to perfection, house salad and hand cut fries thinly cut. Excellent lunch and the service is friendly and quick. Going on 4th time and hands down 10/10 an amazing place. If things get busy there will be a little bit of a wait as there's only 3-4 staff but I promise it is worth the wait. The beers are amazing. They have a 4 page long list of Single Malt Scotch. The beers they brew themselves are freaking amazing. At the time of this post they have a Cherry Stout that's seasonal. It's warm and earth and smooth. Freaking amazing. Food is amazing (YOU HAVE TO TRY THE LAMB). If you're not there to eat and just drink they have no issues with that and are super chill. The pros: It's a cute and unique British-themed pub in a unique building, has whisky flights (along with some ciders and a few wines; primarily a whisky joint). The cons: The food is average (my steak was burned on the outside, too pink on the inside for a medium, and had zero flavor), a tad overpriced, and the service was very slow. I had the Darkstar cask ale and it wasn't the best beer. Seemed like there was a lot of residual yeast in the bottom of the glass and it had a light brown sour taste to it which means it might not have had enough sugars to ferment to give it much of a full bodied flavor of other cask conditioned ales I've had in the past. My wife had a cider though and it tasted pretty good. The wings smelled amazing but we didn't have time to test them out. I really liked the building and the wait staff was really attentive so I'd give it another chance. There seemed to be a wide range of other spirits to test as well. Who knows if we'll end up here again since we're out of town but we'll see. read more

The lamb kebab was a little pricy for two skewers ($9) but was very well seasoned with a nice dipping sauce. My dining companions enjoyed their chicken sandwiches. I enjoyed my Pints Pub experience. My server was awesome and very friendly with honest recommendations about the brews and food which I appreciated. He was also able to give me tips about other restaurants in the other cities I was visiting. I ordered the Better Cheddar burger which came on a sesame bun. The burger was tasty but a bit underwhelmed by the size of the bun. Burgers come with a little tray of different pickles, onion and peppers which I got a kick out of. I had their ESB which I found to be a quality brew and true to the style. Their little micro brewery is visible through a window in the back of the building and looks very cool. You can also see their cellar through a window in the floor...also very cool. They serve beer off of live yeast here which you won't find a lot of places and I'd encourage you to give it a try. This is all fine and good but the reason that Pints gets a five star is the way the staff reacted to a situation. It was just a little after 11am and my wife and I were the only patrons dining inside at the time. A very homeless man walked in to use the restroom. Nobody freaked out. Nobody said anything but kind words to the man as he made his way to the restroom and again as he left the establishment. No harm, no foul...no big deal. I appreciate that kind of humanity. read more

We shared the Ploughman's platter appetizer. My husband ordered the Fish and Chips which we were warned wasn't tradition fried fish. It was a delicious charbroiled Salmon filet. Yum! I ordered the London Broil which was a flank steak cooked perfectly and served with mashed potatoes. We ended up sharing everything and eating off each other's plates b/c it was all SO good! Pints Pub is just a short walk from the Denver Art Museum and we've been a couple times for drinks after an exhibit. A red British phone booth stands outside the building and once inside, the atmosphere is definitively Brit. They offer a variety of artisan brewed beers, ciders and a wide selection of single malt whisky. A fun place! read more

No surprises here. Scotch drinkers will love Pints. They have hundreds of options, most of which are hanging on the walls or from the ceiling. I've attended a couple of Scotch tastings, as well. For $35 you get to try four Scotches and it includes a lite dinner spread. I'd probably get more bang for my buck just buying 2 drinks, but I wouldn't get the diversity of flavors or the education that comes from attending a tasting. Ben has been the host for the tastings that I've attended, and he has always done a great job. Very engaging and knowledgeable without being pretentious. This the best place in Denver to stretch your Scotch legs. read more

I get it, it's cold and you want to close. They had the reservation date was wrong, luckily they called my MIL to cancel for tomorrow so we were able to confirm we indeed want to eat there tonight, OUR MISTAKE. Most of this bad experience had to do with our server, Kai. When there are expos involved in running food, and they have to ask who ordered what, I get it. You should use a seating preset, but whatever. But when the server asks "who had the sprite?" 2 minutes after she took your order, there are 4 sprites, the KIDS! 4 adults drinking, 4 kids not...you can expect it to be bad! The Food wasn't horrible, but my husbands order was forgotten, it was served as our our empty plates piled up around us, with barely an apology. Because there was no check back in a timely fashion to ask how our food was, the fact that he had no food went unnoticed. Then she blamed it on the computer, as if we were all born yesterday. The computer didn't send the order bc you didn't type it in! His meal was comped, and they acted like they were doing us the favor here. In my opinion at the least my husbands drink should have been comped too, or maybe even percentage off the rest of the bill and a sincere apology. Shit happens, but own up and be authentic. She hid and dropped and ran. 30+ years in food industry and experiences like this are more and more common. My advice to whoever reads this is TRAIN YOUR STAFF! Good service can override the worst of mistakes/experiences. We are the type to tip quite handsomely for the effort. We get it. But when you give me a suppressed eye roll for walking in the building? We tried to go here on a Saturday night. We were a bigger party but looked like we could squeeze in at one of the tables. We even had a sweet customer sat at a bigger table when there was only 3 of them that offered his table. There was another server who tried to help us but quickly was interrupted by a bar wench who seemed herself in charge. She seemed extremely intoxicated by slurring her words and kept telling us there was absolutely no room for us. We left but she really needs to stop drinking your profit or get help. read more

Great place in a 100 year old building. I got the blue cheese bacon hamburger and my friend got A burger that was smothered in gravy. We split a pint of very good ale and enjoyed the old world atmosphere. Wait staff was a little curt with us and the guy at the bar settling our bill bill was not rude but not friendly either. They could up their Public relations game a little bit. However, the food was good and the atmosphere was great and people seem to be enjoying themselves. I caution however the bathroom is located upstairs so if you have mobility issues this is not going to be the place for you. read more

Walked in with our 3 kids for an early evening dinner after art museum. The place was half full and the bar area was empty but we were still told 30 minute wait by the bartender. We inquired about an empty table in the bar area, but were told we couldn't sit there because kids can't be in the bar area. Then when we tried to order a couple beers - for us, the two adults - while we waited we were told we can't be served until seated. Bartender - this isn't Utah! If you want to be treated rudely, BSed about Colorado liquor laws, and have all attempts at eye contact avoided - then go here. We left and had a great meal down the street. This place is probably as English as you can get around here. Love the decor! My beer-loving co-worker probably would really embrace this pub. I came to downtown for a class and met up with my folks for a quick bite. Ordered a glass of beer for my dad and he seemed to enjoy it. What we had: - Brewers Bangers & Mash: the brats/sausages were better than expected, not the mashed potatoes though. We were happy that it came with a salad, ask for their house vinaigrette, it's subtle and delicious - Salisbury's Whimp (burger with mushroom and gravy): not an impressive burger but the shoestring fries are very good - Ploughman's Platter: the waitress said she usually likes to make a sandwich out of it and I told her I liked the idea. But what came as a surprise was how the roll was cut in half, vertically! How on earth was I suppose to put together a sandwich?!? And the roll was kind of hard because it was toasted. So we asked for another un-toasted, un-cut roll. The sandwich I ended up making turned out pretty good. This is one of the places I'll file under "been there, done that". read more

13 house brews on tap, 2 on cask. The red ale is incredible and smooth, the idylweiss wheat is clean and citrussy. They don't serve just pub food. The fish and chips are very unlike any other. Expertly grilled salmon, fries, and salad. Healthy and delicious. Plenty of other healthy offerings like veggie burger and grilled skinless chicken sandwich. Try the unique whole wings, and the huge plate of Havarti cheese and crackers. It's a great place if you're in Golden Triangle. Good Happy Hour from 4:30 - 6:30. At night, you can park across the street for free in the breakfast place parking lot. They fill all growlers too! read more

I read about their ridiculous number of Single Malts Whiskys and had to dip inside. Upon entering, I immediately felt like I was in Jolly Ol' England. It was great. Our group was not in the mood for single malts so we settled on a round of beers. Darkstar, Idyllweiss, and Brexit. I had the Darkstar and agree with one of the other reviews which mention this beer as being a bit off and sour. Perhaps it was supposed to be that way, I don't know. Food was good. My husband and I ordered salmon dishes, both delicious. The fries/chips that came with his fish were cold: Service was not great. Our waitress didn't seem to want to bother with us. After we finished dinner and drinks my husband had to go find her so that we could pay. She never really came to check on us and my husband had to keep flagging her down to get a drink. Not sure what the problem was because the dining area was NOT crowded. She was mostly on the bar side where it was more crowded. Trying to be understanding abut really wanted to leave her a 10% tip but decided that not sure what she might be going through and decided to leave 15%. We always like to leave 20-25% but just couldn't do it this time. Too many restaurants in Denver to deal with that again!! read more

The chicken was really good and flavorful. The bun was a bit much for the sandwich though. Our waiter, Cesar, was amazing. So funny and personable! Overall a good experience, I think the price may be a bit high for the amount of food. Others in my party enjoyed their food but no one was amazed. Whisky is a beautiful thing, sometimes it makes the world go round! I have to be honest, I'd never been in this place until super recent when a colleague recommended that I try it- BEST DECISION EVER! I'm not gonna honey coat it, I drink like an alcoholic and love to over due it- I'm no whisky expert - but this experience was totally different. We were there Saturday afternoon and I have no prior knowledge of whiskey or excuse me whisky* other than if you drink enough of it you've had a good time ;) - this was sure to be an experience for the records! The place is nice it kinda makes you feel like you're in Europe with the decor and the phone booth out front was a good touch- you feel really homey and everyone inside was nice- it's almost like a bar out of a 007 movie! As far as the menu goes I got the bangers and mash! - banging bangers and mash too yo! Highly recommend - I wasn't really familiar with a lot of the rest of the menu as far as food goes (I was there to drink) But the real experience here was the knowledgeable staff - they have like 1000 different kinds of whisky and they really seem to know what they're talking about- and that's a good thing because I would honestly have no idea what makes a 10$ whisky different from a $500 whisky or even more for that matter- now here's the best part - they helped me select the right whisky for me and obviously I didn't have any idea what the little straw and water dish were about but they let me know- it's a nice touch I almost felt aristocratic! AND I LEARNED SOMETHING ON MY DRUNKEN ADVENTURE! - something about whisky! It made for a good time!
