Wanted to update my rating to 5 stars because it definitely has gotten more consistent since my last review :) Things I love: * Great service * A super nice and aesthetic space (views of the Elizabeth river, clean inside, lots of seats inside and outside, outlets inside) * The bathrooms are VERY clean * Yummy drinks, the matcha is very good and they take the time to whisk it with a bamboo whisk. They have house matcha AND ceremonial matcha * They roast their own coffee * Their rotating specials are always very interesting Recommendations for improvement: * the only thing I would suggest is for the shop to introduce a rewards system or punch card! My best Norfolk discovery so far! Was staying on business and wanted a morning waterfront walk and Neptune's is perfectly situated on the pathway. The servers are very friendly and helped me decide upon the cinnamon shipwreck which was so good I ordered one every morning during my stay. In addition I had a breakfast sandwich which to my pleasant surprise was made fresh with actual scrambled egg instead of a previously frozen egg patty. It was ample which was appreciated considering the prices! Definitely more costly than some other local shops but worth it! The view and fresh roasted coffee doesn't disappoint! And yes, you can see the beans being ground on premises! Can't wait to be back in Norfolk for another iced cinnamon shipwreck! read more

Met up with a friend for a coffee catch-up for before her birthday. I just enjoyed the shipwreck iced coffee. It was a large, but I should've got a small. I don't drink as much coffee as I used to. The flavor was great. I was hoping I would pick up more of like a brown sugary type of taste, but I might've mixed up the names of the coffees in order the wrong one, but it's OK. I really enjoyed everything and the cool outdoor indoor space. The service was fast but I almost got my coffee snatched. I wish they took my name and called out the name instead of my order. I know it's a small space not many people there at a time but it's common that we order the same thing especially if it's there specials. I gotta come back to try some more specials in the future. Just to give everybody a heads up this place is inside Dominion Tower, but you can park in the garage for the Dominion tower and your parking will get validated for up to 2 hours. You just have to remember your license plate and plug it in at the coffee shop when you get in there. read more

This is such a hidden gem. My daughter and I were out doing last minute Christmas shopping and decided to stop in for a quick coffee. I've been here a few times but it was my daughter's first. I enjoyed a Gingerbread latte and she had a sweet potato latte. Both were fantastic! The service was quick and they even validate parking! you get 2 hours free :D I love enjoying the view from the windows overlooking the river and can't wait to go back when it is warmer to sit outside and enjoy that same view. They offer their fresh roasted coffee and I'll be picking some of that up next time. We didn't order food this time, I had ordered it in the past and it was fantastic! It's a cute little space in the Bank of America Building with waterfront views. I was surprised at their food menu-much bigger than I was expecting! I treated my self to an iced chai-a special flavor called Sandy Cheeks Chai! The chai had coconut in it and it was delicious!! Service was friendly and efficient. Neptune's Fury is a hidden gem tucked inside the Sheraton Hotel at Waterside, Norfolk, just a couple of blocks from my home. It's a small coffee shop with a big personality the kind of place you could easily lose track of time in. One of my favorite features is the seating area, which overlooks the water. It's the perfect backdrop for sipping coffee and unwinding, and the clean, modern touches make the space feel fresh yet cozy. The music added is very chill and vibey. Their coffee menu is fun and creative. I went for the s'mores iced coffee, which was sweet, chocolatey, and perfectly balanced a dessert in a cup without being too heavy. I also tried the flatbread pizza, which had great flavor and toppings. My only wish? That it had been cooked a bit longer so the crust could have that satisfying crisp. It leaned on the softer side, which wasn't a dealbreaker, but a crispier bite would've been perfect. read more

Neptune's Fury had friendly staff & we were quickly served our food & beverages. The pepperoni hot honey flat bread was pretty good, but left something to be desired. It seemed as though there were chunks of diced tomatoes mixed into the sauce on the flatbread which I didn't enjoy. It also could have used some sort of seasoning to make it more flavorful. The hot honey was nice. I also enjoyed the matcha. I do wish they had soy milk, but I still enjoyed the oat milk in the matcha. The restaurant had a wonderful ambiance we enjoyed dining outside! First time in but I've heard great things. I was first impressed by the different combinations I could make with the drinks. Jeez Louise I didn't know what to get so I stuck to something I knew and got it VERY fast. Like.... I'm done ordering and my drink is up. My server and their coworker were both polite and had great energy for me to kinda relax and figure out what to get. Since the music was playing all my tracks I decided a very berry lemonade refresher and a chicken bacon ranch flatbread (mostly because I forgot it had just become lunch). It was fire. My girlfriend came and got the chicken pesto and a CLEMENTINE???? Passion fruit green tea? Like what the heck are you talking about???? Either way. Great place. Come get some. What an awesome coffee shop! Not only is there a great view, but if you park in the garage, there's a QR code in the shop to validate parking! Right in the water, you can see the happenings right then and there, and it's within walking distance of the Tides stadium. The food options are superb, as is the coffee. Tons of options for all folks in terms of coffee, but what was Cherry was the folks workin. Fun, funky, kind and helpful, they were fab. Very surprised by this find! I was confused when I approached the building. I've seen this building (Dominion Tower) many years, growing up in the area... never knowing that there is this gem inside of it. It's a very quaint spot. I went during a down time but I can see this place getting a little packed during busy work hours. It's a huge place with lots of seating. AND a killer view of the water. It's so peaceful!!! The person working there on the day I went was very welcoming. He fit the calm vibes of the shop. I truly felt at peace with even ordering. You know how sometimes it feels stressful because you aren't sure of what to order? I didn't feel that at all. lol. I ordered their Shipwreck and Seafoam lattes. The shipwreck was an iced brown sugar latte and so was the seafoam with an addition of matcha. Both were absolutely delicious. They weren't packed with sugar like a regular Starbucks drink would be. I could actually taste the coffee and it was top notch. So this is definitely a place for true coffee lovers that hate their coffee being overpowered by crazy sugary flavors. 10/10 would come back again!!! read more

This is my second week in a row coming here! This time I got a pesto chicken flatbread and a clementine passionfruit iced tea. First of all, shout out to the employee that recommended the flatbread it was 10/10. They even let me put some balsamic glaze on it which just made it all the more good. What a beautiful coffee shop! Tucked away on the main floor of the Dominion Tower, this coffee shop is a lot bigger than it leads on to be from the entrance. I had seen them pop up on social media awhile back that they had opened and have been meaning to check it out. Today was that day as I had some errands to run in the area. The vibe inside is very modern, minimal, in bright and neutral tones. Love the small additions of artwork and live plants and. The service counter was very open with minimal eye level distractions. Another huge winning factor is the view! Wow! If you walk to the back, it has direct access to the walkway by the water and it's just so soothing and a welcomed changed from the hustle and bustle of busy city streets. It was such a gorgeous day out today too and it was just nice to see the shimmer on the water as I sipped my coffee. They have counter seating by the window, so you get front row seat to the view. If you want it even closer, then you can sit outside on their outdoor patio. I ordered a mocha latte and a veggie quiche. I could have used a bit more of chocolate, but other than that, the coffee was great. They warmed up the quiche and it was delish! It was served warm and had lots of veggies with the right egg consistency. I love me pie crusts and this one was flaky and just perfect. Take note: - they have wifi, just log on to their network, no password needed - there are outlets on the counters - other food offered that I could see: muffins and "bagel nutz" - 2 hour free parking in the Dominion Tower with purchase! Such a plus! They obviously get most of their traffic from the tenants in the building, but this is a hidden gem and if you want somewhere quiet to work, well, I've told you a secret, so keep it to yourself. Every time I visit the tower it's a great experience chatting with the owner and baristas. My family & I drink Neptune's Fury Coffee exclusively, it's unlike any other coffee out there! Their store is always clean with fresh local art available, delicious food and of course incredible coffee. The validated parking is a huge plus as well. read more

I stopped here during a business trip, unfortunate that I couldn't visit more to try more menu items. Lovely spot in a relaxing location on the waterfront, with good coffee and lunch food options. Service was very helpful and efficient. But in my opinion, the best part is the coffee beans! They were out of the sampler set, but they had a great selection of different roasts and freshly roasted beans. The coffee sold at Potted (in Selden Market) is roasted by them as well. Average experience at this coffee shop. Ordered a drip coffee and a latte. The drip was served and spilled on the saucer, so presentation wasn't great. The coffee tasted okay, nothing special. The vanilla latte came out and tasted more like hazelnut than vanilla. There were not house made syrups and no cold brew available. The price was expensive for the quality received. Parking garage was conveniently located and they do validate parking. The coffee shop itself was nice, clean, and updated. It had a nice water view and plenty of tables. Love this place. It's inside the building next to the Sheraton Norfolk Waterside, across from the main desk. I had the Samoa iced latte. AMAZING! Even came with a GS Samoa cookie. (I had the hot version too, but liked the cold better). The Bagel Nutz were good too. I got 2 , everything and cinnamon almond. I asked for one to be heated up and ate it there.
