We ordered the Broad Nosh Special, which comes on an everything bagel with a fried egg, fresh avocado, microgreens, and mayo. It was delicious and really satisfying. The bagel itself was much bigger than we expected, so we ended up sharing one and it was the perfect amount. The bagel was super fresh, and you can tell they take pride in what they're serving. This place gets packed but they work quickly pumping out orders! While you're making the line you can see the crazy display of spreads and cold salads in the glass. They even have the lox and fish displayed. Everything looks so delicious. Once you place your order, they'll call out your number when your order is ready. So you can grab a seat if you find one. We really didn't wait long for our order to be ready. I tried the lox bagel sandwich and it was one of the best I've had in the city! The lox is perfectly smoked and it is just the right cream cheese to lox ratio. The other cool thing is that we got to meet the owner Robert. I had the best gluten-free bagel I've ever tasted at Broad Nosh. I know the bar is low, as GF bagels tend to be awful, but honestly, if it was a blind taste test, I wouldn't have known the one from Broad Nosh was GF. The outside was crispy, the inside was soft and chewy and it didn't taste like cardboard. It was just an excellent bagel that happened to be GF. I got a bacon, egg, and cheese on a toasted everything bagel, and my husband got the same on a regular cinnamon raisin. Next time, I'd opt for salt, pepper and mayyybe even ketchup on it, to add some more flavor and moistness to the egg, but overall, I was extremely happy with the sandwich and the service. You order on the left side of the counter and then pay on the right side. They call your ticket number when your order is ready. The place was filled up but we were able to snag a table. The owner was in there walking around and greeting patrons at tables. He was really friendly and told us a few jokes. You can tell he's really passionate about his business. I planned on coming back another day to bring a few GF bagels home, but we weren't able to make it there. Broad Nosh bagels are my favorite place because the bagels are plump and chewy and a nice exterior. I don't get bagel from anywhere else in the world. They are $2 each for plain bagels. Take a look at the blueberry bagel in the picture. There are so many blueberries in there and it was so good. The everything bagel is my favorite as it's not salty either. The women at the cash registers were incredibly helpful and nice. The bagels were delicious and huge. Fresh dill was a really nice touch that gave the open face sandwich a burst of flavor. Our only issue was that the bagel sandwich we ordered came with capers, onions, and tomatoes.... I'm pretty picky about my bagels so I rarely venture beyond my neighborhood fave but I happened on this place--not too far from Rockefeller Plaza and Saks--so decided to drop in. The bagels were perfect--a little crusty on the outside, chewy inside. They have a great selection of cream cheese--I chose bacon scallion and it was yummy. Service was efficient. True that seating is a little tight so be ready to take your order to go in a pinch. It's a good sized space so it seems like they could squeeze some more chairs in or put some benches in but I don't know. read more

Best place on the UWS for a bagel. Best Nova on a Bagel. Terrific Creme Cheese Selection and the service is almost always spot on. However, Do not, I repeat, Do not expect a decent hot Carnegie Pastrami Sandwich on Rye. This is the second time I've ordered it in two months, thinking that perhaps the cook of the day was not familiar with the simple preparation of a NY Pastrami on Rye, hold the mustard and a half sour on the side. Terrible is not a fair description of my sandwich, but disappointing might come close. The sandwich was Grilled, the Pastrami was chopped up & grilled as well & the 1/2 Sour was just ok, but placed onto the already buttery bread when packaged, giving the entire sandwich a taste of Dill Pickle juice. They grilled the rye, using butter on the bread.... No! No! No!. The sandwich was greasy, fallling apart when you picked it up, pieces of pastrami falling out onto the plate and tasting the pickle juice on every bite. 10 cents shy of $24.00, which included tax. Fool me once shame on me, fool me........oh you know the rest. Luckily I was able to wash it down with a Dr. Browns Original I had hidden just for this kind of occasion. If you are a fan of Broad Nosh, as I am, continue going there. For Bagels and a Schmere (sp), there is no place better. But go South to 72nd Street, Take a left and walk half way up the block to Pastrami Queen. I promise you this, you won't be disappointed. Long lean pieces of Pastrami, fresh soft ungrilled bread and authentic half dills. They charge $27.00 + $2.40 tax That's about 5 dollars more for an experience you'll remember for a long time. I visited this place after reading many reviews, including Korean reviews, because I wanted to try a New York bagel. After waiting a long time to order and receive our food, we continued waiting for a table. When a table became available, I politely asked the people sitting there if we could take it, and they clearly said it was okay. However, a mother and daughter who had just entered and had not ordered any food accused us of taking their table and began shouting insults and recording me. I repeatedly said that I did not want to fight, but another man then joined in, spat toward my face while shouting profanity, and acted in a threatening manner, repeatedly saying, "This is America. This is New York." Despite this, a staff member told only me to stop, threatened to call the police, and asked me to leave, while saying nothing to the others. This felt very racially discriminatory. Although other staff later told me that I had done nothing wrong, I felt too uncomfortable to stay and left without eating the bagel. I have spent months in the U.S. before and have never experienced anything like this.
