This is the first time I have ever given 5 stars, because, as we are told in our reviews "there is always room for improvement". But, these "guys" were phenomenal. They made an otherwise stressful situation pretty painless. Diego, John, Gio and Joe were all super nice. While they gave urgency to my issue, they did not make helping me with an emergency situation the week before Christmas sound at all like a stress for them, and it had to be. Net: it was 31 hours from my first phone call until they had a new furnace installed and the heat back on! At no point did I feel pressured to spend more money. I felt they were very honest with what my needs were and did not try to upsell me. Fantastic team! The story.... My furance stopped working on Dec 20; at midnight, it was 58 degrees. They had someone at my house that afternoon (when other places told me Friday (the 23rd) at the earliest. Diego was so very nice. He found the problem (a bad one) within the first half hour and explained to me my options that included a $200 repair that wasn't guaranteed to fix the unit, but it could be done. Considering the age of the unit (29 years), I opted to replace. John, one of their sales professionals, was at my house within the next hour. He called to let me know he was stuck in traffic and would be about 5 minutes later than anticipated. We talked about options. He assessed my house and my situation and wrote up two quotes. Based on the research I did earlier that day, they were very reasonable (a little less than mid-range than average range for replacing a furnace). Again, he did not try to upsell me. We talked about going with another unit that would have cost more, but he explained why that best for newer/larger homes but not necessary for mine. While John was writing up the order (after 5 PM), Tracey (I think that is her name) was in the office working to have a team to my house the next morning! Gio and Joe arrived a little after 8 AM. They were pleasant and friendly. They left the place exactly as they found it and clean. Seriously a great team overall. Thank you so much for making sure I had heat by Christmas! read more

UPDATE: I have never had such a productive, pleasurable, reasonable conversation with a plumber/HVAC/contractor-type in my life. Not only did they credit the initial fee but they are going to give us a deal on the reinstall. **They did not do this because I complained, they did it because it is the right thing- no haggling necessary.** These are the only people that I trust and will use moving forward. PLEASE IGNORE THE BELOW: First experience with this company, can't go back. They charged an exorbitant fee to install two faucets in my kitchen. Issue #1: During the installation, they claimed that one faucet was defective because the hot water setting would not work. I called the manufacturer who said that the plumber never called to get their advice and there were simple steps that that Pipeworks should have tried first to make it work. Issue #2: These faucets were installed on a Thursday, by Monday night we noticed a leak under the sink of the other faucet. I called "after hours" about this because there was a smell and towels could only contain water/prevent further damage to the wood under the sink. When I called Pipeworks I pointed out that given the fact that their company just installed it, I was holding them accountable for any charges. The people on the phone were perfectly polite, but said they would only abide by this "if the link was found to be their error". Seriously? That is like a surgeon giving you an implant and then saint that he will let you know if you are uncomfortable because of the way that he put it in your body. I'm not a plumber, thus beholden to someone with a wrench. The main issue: They sent out someone who determined that the pipes in the faucet were a bit loose. How is that NOT an installation problem? They had the audacity to charge me $375 for this ordeal. This is a rip off, do not be fooled! I now need to find another plumber to deal with the other sink which will require more money to be spent! read more

Beyond disappointed with their services. And currently heatless because of them! Any time they came out, I was quoted an outrageous price for parts and service even though I was a member. Most recently I had them come out to do the annual maintenance on my heating unit and while servicing it, they said a fuse blew which blew my transformer and I had to pay to fix it. Mind you, my heat was working perfectly fine before they came out. They quoted me $500 for the part and when I looked up the part, it was $36 at home depot. I had the tech leave because I thought it was insane that I was going to be charged this knowing the heat was working prior to them coming and knowing that the part only cost $36. I had then called them saying my heat was working perfectly fine prior to them coming out and now I'm without it. They told me, it was my unit and if I wanted it fixed I would have to pay for the part. I asked to speak w a manager and they said he would give a call and never did. They did have the tech come back out the next day, so I was hopeful they were going to do the right thing but unfortunately they did not. The tech was very kind but kept telling me it wasn't their fault even though my heat went out while they were here. He called the manager and the manager didn't even get on the phone with me at that point. He basically had his tech do his dirty work and just said it's the fuse which isn't their fault and I have to pay for the transformer replacement. Needless to say, I cxld my subscription (which when doing, the woman on the phone didn't even ask why or was there anything they can do?)and now have to find someone else to come out and fix my heat. I rarely write poor reviews but I had to let people know this company is a rip off and they do nothing but over charge and pretend they are doing you a favor. I'm glad I used Pipe Works to replace my 19 year old furnace. It had been repaired before but this time it caused me not to have AC upstairs. It had a bad board and blower which could have been repaired but I decided to go with the new energy efficient 90,000 BTU Lennox. Rob came in to determine what unit would most efficiently work with my needs and my house size. We scheduled the work which involved removing the old furnace from the attic and replacing it with a new one. The 2 technicians, Pablo and Washington, arrived on time, covered their shoes, and laid down mats to protect my hardwood floors. They were courteous and professional, but most important of all was their extensive skill level and knowledge to do the job. Washington, friendly and mature, covered all the upfront and final details, and filled me in on his professional background. I knew Pablo from previous work that he had done on my house's plumbing, heating and a/c problems. My house is 19 years old and all that stuff has been breaking over the last few years. He has repaired many of those items and then as they broke beyond cost effective repair he replaced the units. I had two plumbing problems from earlier not very good plumbers, and when Pablo took a look, he immediately diagnosed what the issue was and fixed it. He is an excellent skilled technician in plumbing and HVAC, who I trust implicitly to do the work required on my house. Pablo and Washington worked so well and efficiently together that the furnace in my boiling hot attic was removed, replaced, and AC blowing and cooling things off by lunchtime! I will definitely be using Pipe Works Services again because of the impressive level of expertise of their technicians, as demonstrated by Washington and Pablo. I will definitely recommend Pipe Works to family and friends in the future. read more

Pipe Works is a very great company. They offer great and professional services. I would recommend them to any home owner. Tim and a team member came to take a look of our attic and gave us the quote for attic insulation right at a spot within 30 mins after a very thorough investigation and discussion with our need. It seems to me at first a little expensive but since we are eligible for the state rebate program, it become even cheaper than other companies had offered. Make sure you ask if you home is eligible for the state rebate program! Since the smell of the attic insulation spray doesn't allow us to stay overnight, they even offer us some discount to to cover some of our hotel cost. Another thing I like is their professional services. They make sure the house is clean whenever they come even for the first day when they just come to give us a quote. Starting from entrance, they would put towel and wear shoe covers so it doesn't bring any dust to home. They vacuum the attic after the job as well. They were very patients the entire process. Since it's a fairly big job for the house, we had a lot of questions regarding to how they would do it, how does it work with the rebate program, and etc. They show us the afterward pic since we can't go up to check due to the smell. Because it is a very old house, some minor old insulation parts were hard to get off. I asked if they can try their best to take more off again, Gio was totally fine and spent another 20 mins to finish up. Their team members are professional and very friendly. I had pipeworks come out to install additional insulation in my two crawlspaces, along the rim joist of the house in the basement, and under a first floor overhang that sat out past the foundation rim joist. Rob Moakler came out to do the inspection and write up the quote, and Pablo (GM), Jorge Denzel, and Gio D came out to do the install. Rob was thorough in his explanation of the different techniques the team was going to use for the different areas and thorough in his note taking for the quote write-up. When the team arrived to do the install, they walked the house with me to confirm what work was to be done. They were considerate of inside spaces, covering their shoes when they came in and covering our belongings to protect them from any stray foam. They ensured me and my pets were out of the house before they began spraying for safety purposes. They ventilated everything and called me once it was safe to return. They finished a bit early and walked me through their work - the job was well done and they cleaned up after themselves well. I am looking forward to more comfortable winters now. Very pleased with how professional and courteous everyone was. Will be calling on Pipeworks again if we need insulation for other parts of our house in the future. read more

Today Pipeworks really followed through for us. Yesterday Jonathan ran diagnostics that confirmed that our ac unit had failed. He was efficient, articulate and friendly. He gave us all of our options and answered our questions. He then found a unit that could be installed the next day on Saturday. Then today Vartin and Johnny came to install the new Lennox unit (I like that they are a Lennox dealer). They were courteous, pleasant and incredibly hard working leaving everything clean and neat at the end. ( I like that they never forget their plastic booties or drape cloth). Poor Vartin had to work in an inferno like attic. He was available for any questions we might have and responded with and intelligent and wonderfully reasuring manner. Kevin who is now in the office after wonderful home service over the years stopped by to see how things were going. Pipeworks is lucky to have him, he is the perfect PR person and knows the technical too. I have not been happy with every technician over the years, but Pipeworks stands behind their work and will try to rectify any problems. I have been a customer of Pipe Works for about 20 years and have always recommended them. Whether it's an emergency call for a frozen pipe on a Sunday night or a huge system upgrade such as we recently had installed in the home we just moved into, they are great. Their knowledge, expertise and professionalism is unparalleled. I have also found their pricing to be extremely competitive and often FAR better than large competitors. Shortly after our recent move, we had Mike come and go over the condition of the existing systems in our new home. Despite a mostly passable home inspection report, the systems were in very poor repair. Since they were at the end of their lifetime anyway, it made no sense to spend thousands of dollars on repairs. Rob came over multiple times to explain our options and was very patient with all our questions. During the 3-day install, Rob and Kevin stopped by frequently, Mike and his team did an amazing job and left the various places they worked IMMACULATE. The job took exactly the amount of time I was told it would, they helped us obtain interest-free financing and we now have super efficient, brand new systems throughout our home for HVAC, water treatment (HALO) and a new water heater. Pipe Works Services came to my rescue! I had a pipe broken to my sump pump which caused my basement to become flooded. My call to Pipe Works was answered by Kayla who listened and was understanding about my plumbing problem. Kayla scheduled their plumber Fedi to come to my home that afternoon. When Fedi arrived he assessed the problem and gave me a solution. Fedi was so professional and personable. I knew I was in good hands and my problem would soon be fixed. The flooding caused my hot water heater to become inoperable. I worked with Christi at Pipe Works to get the parts to fix my hot water heater fixed. Christi kept me apprised of when the parts would be coming in, worked patiently with me on the scheduling of the repair. Once the parts came in Fedi came and repaired my hot water heater. What I appreciate is that Fedi always explained what he was doing to fix my plumbing problems and made sure all was working correctly before he left. I have been calling Pipe Works for about a year now for all of my electrical and plumbing needs and I am very satisfied. The receptionists are always very friendly and professional when I call and I find it is easy to schedule a timely appointment. Also, I am very satisfied with the level of knowledge and ease that the technicians have been able to help us solve our problems. I highly recommend Phil the electrician and Mike and Pablo for any plumbing needs. I always learn more about how to care for my home with each visit from Pipe Works. So far they have helped us move a gas line in order to change the orientation of our grill on our deck, install a new garbage disposal, two new 50 gallon water heaters, SNL water filtration system, confirm that our outlets are protected and changed if necessary and help us prepare for a new washer/dryer installation. All the work has been great. Also, on one occasion when I was not happy with something, I found that they were open to listening to my concerns and corrected the issue quickly. PipeWorks' Anthony came out to my New Providence home on 3/18/17 and was extremely professional -- quickly diagnosing the issue with the newly installed water heater as being an issue with the water pressure coming into the house being extremely high and the water pressure valve being faulty. He explained to us what the issue was and how the existing pressure (140) was way too high when it really needed to be (60). Anthony was patient because I sorta freaked out at the price. They are a little high but you get what you pay for. After my freak out session we authorized him to do the work. For that price I said that I was going to be his apprentice- first to oversee the work and second to learn. He smiled and said of course. He was patient because I asked all sorts of questions. Ranging from "why are you doing that" to talking shop about motorcycles. He was great and I would welcome him back any time. Extras: * Anthony put paper covers on his shoes before entering the house -- a respectful touch * The service was reasonably high-tech. Pipe Works does a lot of business on our street. I called them to install a new boiler heating system in our house. They gave me a estimate which we found was at the low end of several estimates. We selected Pipe Works and they did an excellent job of installing a new boiler. They put tarps down of the floors and cleaned everything up after the installation. Chris and Shakil arrived on time on the date we had agreed and worked a VERY long day to finish the installation. We are very satisfied with the new boiler. Kayla who answer our calls to Pipe Works is a excellent representative of the company. She took care of every request we made quickly and to our complete satisfaction. Kayla got action and went where ever needed to get action for us. You only need to talk to Kayla to make it happen ASAP. The service employees who installed and serviced us were Chris, Pablo, and Shakil. They were all very courteous, well trained, and customer focused. I've never written a review for anything before but i felt like it was necessary for this company. I don't understand how there are no positive reviews on this site for them until you click "not currently recommended " and then it's pages of good reviews. I feel like those should be recommended. Anyway, I don't know what these bad reviews are talking about because I had an amazing experience with this company. From my first experience with Tricia on the phone who booked my call and went above and beyond to answer all of my questions, saved me money, and got someone right out to me; to the technicians who came out to my home. It was a pleasure working with the entire team. 4 years ago they were extremely responsive and fast when one of our AC units broke. This year we had to replace the 2nd unit. John was at our place within days and gave us immediately a quote. We got a 2nd quote from an other company and Pipe Works was extremely competitive. What really made our decision easy was that John promised us the installation for the following week after we signed the contract. He stopped by the next day (Saturday)and he we signed the contract. Monday morning we received a call from Adriana and we scheduled the installation for Wednesday. They accommodated my request for Wednesday, because I was able to work from home. Jonathan and Shakil arrived on time, went over their schedule with me and stated working immediately. Both were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Pipeworks replaced my entire A/C unit after a "too young unit" installed by another HVAC company, died after 9.5 years due primarily to some faulty installation workmanship. Ive worked with Pipeworks now for over 5 years on other HVAC matters and have developed strong confidence in their service. They did a very good job here. They helped me with thorough estimates of the repairs needed, and associated pricing to fix the old unit. They provided competitive prices on high SEER related replacement units. They provided 2 year labor and 10 year parts warranties on all of their replacement unit work. They helped me see that the investment in a new unit was only incrementally more than the cost of repair on the old unit. For the actual installation work, Shakil and Jose B were excellent, and their manager Jose and their electrician were also very, very helpful. They were careful, thorough, clean, identified one challenge in the installation regarding the existing thermostat and solved it effectively. Here at the Interfaith Food Pantry, a non-profit food pantry located in Morris County, we give out about 18,000 pounds of food a week to Morris County residents in need. Last year alone, we gave out over 1 Million pounds of food. Any money that needs to be spent on plumbing, electric, etc. comes directly out of the food budget. Pipe Works Services cares about their community and immediately stepped forward to yet again donate services. As always, Pipe Works came out right away, thoroughly explained the current issue and what caused it, professionally repaired the problem, and left the area nice and clean. I had Pipe Works install a new central air system in my house and was completely satisfied with their work from start to finish. After reviewing all the different options available with their Comfort Advisor Michael C, I decided on the one that fit my needs perfectly. He was not a "Hard Sale" person who tried to push the most expensive model, but worked with me to ensure that I chose the right one. The crew that did the installation; Kevin J, Chris, and Kevin R, were very professional, neat and courteous. They explained every aspect of the installation to me and answered any questions I asked promptly.They also removed the old AC unit and cleaned up any area that they worked in. The new AC was up and running and fully checked out before they left my house. A new programable thermostat was installed a few days later by Zach L. who also did a a very professional job. I found pipe works online and saw good reviews, so called them on a Sunday night. They were very responsive in returning my call and offered to have a plumber out the same night or Monday btw 9 and 12. I decided to wait until Monday and Mario came over about 3. He was very knowledgable and confident the problem could be fixed. He put my mind at ease and explained to me what was happening and how he could fix it. He was very pleasant and patient with my questions and recommended solutions for some of my other plumbing improvements. Thank you Mario! He also offered a camera inspection of the sewer. Within the an hour, Ray came over, used a camera to inspect my sewer drain and showed me the video. I feel fortunate to have found Pipe Works and that the professionals who worked on my drain were knowledgable, skilled plumbers who game me expert advice.
