We called in for a pinhole leak. After briefly looking at it the technician Ray disappeared for 45 minutes to where my son had to go and look for him. He was in his van smoking, He then came back in and smelled like marijuana! He finished the job, less than 45 minutes total and then charged $2,380!! I called to ask exactly what they did for that amount of money and time spent. They sent me an invoice upon request that was super vague and just said fixed leak. I asked Amber if there was any way she can provide a more detailed invoice, she said she cannot and it's against their policy. I said OK, can you provide what the materials cost, she then said no she cannot. I asked for a manager to call me back to explain and so far have not heard a peep Buyer beware!! Surely as hell but the work is too good not to give this company a five star. First of all, they were beyond prompt and were able to file all the necessary paperwork with the city of Denver within DAYS of our signing the contract. Next, they listened and accommodated our demands. We replaced all of the pipes in our historic home but didn't want there to be evidence of work completed. So these guys came out, did some magic, and poof... you'd never know we had our entire yard tore up. Our beautiful landscaping was left unscathed. All of Sam's workers were respectful and wore masks. When we didn't like something, they fixed it. Just needed to speak up. They were in and out in less than a week. We had a plumber come out and double check their work and they asked for Pipe X's contact information since they did such a "brilliant job." Jeramy came out very quickly to respond to a clog in our washer drain pipe. He was very professional and friendly. It was refreshing to get somebody to service my home who is informative and actually walked me through the issue and what he needed to do to remedy our problem. It's people like Jeramy that truly make a company great. With that said, he was not able to find out what was causing the clog, he recommended coming back the next day to make cuts to creat an access point where the clog is at. * updated the following day Different dude came out today, unfortunately I cannot recall his name, and was in and out in 10 minutes. The previous tech did not solve the issue, he was very friendly, just not able to figure out the problem. This guy was able to snake it out and showed me as he flushed the drain pipe continuously to ensure no water would come back out. read more

Well here we go again, had a pipe burst in my house and needed a plumber (story of my life, I should just marry a plumber and get it over with). I called up PipeX to see if I could get someone out ASAP and was put on hold for 5 minutes while they tried to figure it out - small price to pay. The guy told me that the dispatcher was not available and he was just filling in and would call me back as soon as they found a time. I got no call after 30 minutes so I scheduled another plumber to come out. About five minutes later a van pulled up to my house (45 minutes after talking to PipeX) and it was PipeX! I was shocked because nobody said they were coming out (and hence 4 stars instead of 5 because, communication people!) but I'm happy regardless because repairs are now underway! Second plumber cancelled. The plumber they sent was just the nicest guy. I mean, seriously, just a down to earth nice frickin guy and got my problem fixed in no time. So, PipeX to the rescue again. And, again, they did not let me down and not only were highly responsive but also, again, sent a super nice person to do the work. So, again, I hit them with a glowing review because they absolutely deserve it. Honestly after no call back I was really disappointed in PipeX because I made them "my plumber" after the last great appointment and was bummed that they let me down. I would say they only forgot to call and did the same great work with great people and great service as usual. "My plumber" yet again! P.S., let a guy know when you are on your way, I hate to answer the door in my bathrobe :). I worked with Trevor and Greg for a hot water heater replacement at our rental condo 40th and Chambers 5/30/20. I appreciated the prompt service and professional installation. The problem was with the bid and payment. I was quoted $2468.00 for the water heater replacement and was charged $3000. After several calls and attempts to understand the higher charge and expected refund for the overcharge I was informed today 7/20/2020 that the install and water heater just cost more and there would be no refund. The invoice I received did not explain the increased charge--just a flat fee of $3000 that was paid over the phone via debit card back in early June. That is unfortunate because I cannot recommend the company to others. read more

Dishonest and rude people all around. Long story short, I had them come out through Cherry Creek HOA and the technician did work for maximum of 2 hours (I was there the whole time). Then they charged me for 5 hours of labor and said they use a "gps-tracker" for all their technicians and that it was correct. Nearly impossible to get in contact with anyone. Never showed up during original repair time/day. Had to reschedule multiple times with no proper communication whatsoever. Left a disgusting mess in the bathroom. Lazy, incompetent, and dishonest technicians, manager, and company as a whole. Read other reviews about similar experiences and avoid this corrupt business at all cost. read more

I had a plumber come out to replace a kitchen faucet, clogged drain in bathroom, and semi clogged shower drain the plumber was nice did a good job completed all work but a few days later the shower drain had screws sticking out of the drsin plate and trying to screw them in one screw would pop out opposites of the screw your tightening so I called PipeX to come out and correct the customer service rep said she'd get back to me after talking with the tech she never called so I called her back and she said the plumber said it was like that when he worked on it. not true my bathrooms were remodeled two years earlier and everything was replaced and he also said I needed more work done in my shower/tub that was damaged I'm confused because not only did he never say that to me when he was done he didn't even put it in his paperwork so I told her that was totally false I had new bathrooms so she said she'd talk to her manager and call me back never called me back and after those false claims I would never use their services again read more

I hired Pipex because Cherry Creek Pro HOA recommended them. These managers are not nice by the way. PIpe create bigger problems and then lie after they charge your card. Technician caused accident, creating bigger problem, and when onsite, he clearly defined HOA was responsible for the drain issue. Again, after payment was charged, they turn around lie that HOA was not responsible, you can guess why they did that. They won't show up unless you provide a credit card upfront. Look for a more honest plumber, not this one. read more

Back in the middle of June 2019 I contacted my home owners association and asked them for a referral on who could come out and turn on my water spigot (not knowing that was the reason my outside water wasn't working). They referred me to Pipe X. A guy came and I showed him where the outdoor hose valve was and brought him down stairs and showed him where the main water shut off was in the bedroom closet. He was coming and going from downstairs, doing a lot of banging and then tells me he needs to cut through the dry wall. More time had passed and then he calls me to come downstairs because he wants to show me something. He then shows me 2 large holes that he cut through the dry wall in the closet area and then one up in the ceiling inches away from a vent. He then removed the vent to reveal the valve which was the on/off valve for the water hose outside. He laughed and said "Haha Looks like I didn't even need to cut the holes in the walls!! The valve was right here the whole time"!! He then said "Don't worry! Just call your HOA and they will pay for the drywall repairs"! Wow! So then he tells me he's going to wrap things up and said he had to go out to his truck. I waited and waited then finally looked outside to see that he had already left! I went downstairs and he didn't even clean up the mess that he made. There was dry wall scraps all over the floor which I cleaned up myself. I then contacted Pipe X and told them about the situation. The same guy came out the following day to basically clean up his mess that I had already cleaned up and that's about it. I did contact my HOA and NOOOO they won't pay for the drywall repairs. So now I have 3 separate holes in my ceiling and closet that were unnecessarily cut out by Pipe X!! I have made 3 separate attempts to contact Chris at Pipe X, by sending detailed emails, and also requesting that they pay for the damage of the drywall holes.....but he has given me NO response whatsoever. So now I guess I have to pay for their mistakes! I am very upset. read more

These guys just swooped in and saved the day. They were maybe the 4th or 5th people I called but the first to answer on a Sunday, and Andrew was out within 2 hours. An old section of galvanized pipe rotted out at the threading. Suddenly water was gushing from under my sink. The section of galvanized pipe was basically rotted together and the whole thing needed to be replaced. Luckily it was only a couple of feet long before it transitioned to copper pipe. Andrew agreed with my assessment and did exactly what I would have done if I'd had the tools and supplies. Andrew needed a tool he didn't have and drove an hour and a half to grab it and make it work. He had the job done in a few hours (travel included) and it's all up and running same day. He tolerated my terrifying German Shepherd barking at him constantly with kindness. He shoved himself into the smallest under-sink cabinet that IKEA has to offer. He charged a very reasonable rate, too, for that level of heroics. Even if I'd had that section of pipe swapped out as a preventative measure rather than on an emergency basis, I expect it would have cost the same. I will recommend this company to random people on the street if I have the opportunity. And now I don't have a galvanized ticking time bomb underneath my sink anymore. :D read more

We hired Pipe X when we began having trouble with the sewer line in our historic neighborhood home. The problems turned out to be much worse than a simple clean-out could fix and Pipe X was such a great help. Chandler was very courteous, knowledgeable and to the point. We found that the 100 year old clay pipes had broken or collapsed in so many places that nothing was passing through. We had to replace our entire sewer line to this duplex and the work was completed quickly and well above my expectations. I absolutely recommend using Pipe X for you plumbing and sewer needs as I will absolutely be calling them first should the necessity arise at our other properties. read more

They should not have a star-0 stars I called to have my plumbing problem assessed. Whomever I spoke to, did NOT tell me they would charge me $144 for what I considered an estimate. When they arrived, I turned them away9estimate couldn't be done at the time/sewer line was clogged). Their guy literally got out of truck, and got back in, he never set foot on my property. When I called to dispute the invoice/charge, (assuming it was a simple misunderstanding) I was told by "Mellie"; in the most unprofessional and condescending way 'this is how business is done". Unprofessional, unkind, and rude: after I made it clear I didn't feel comfortable paying for a service not provided, I was threatened. AWESOME! I had to use Pipe x since they were hired be the management company our HOA uses...I made the appointment and the ended up showing up a week early and basically was called a lier about the date...it was a rainy/snowy day and they had to did up my finished basement to get to the pipe...they did put some plastic down but it would have been nice if they actually used ir...so mud was all over...I had covered my things with plastic since they used a jack hammer but they took off my plastic to use use for the mud they dug up so now everything of mine is covered in cement dust..they also left the door opened the whole time they were here (6 hours) so it was freezing in the house...they completely made a big mess...I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THEM NOR WOULD I EVER USE THEM read more

I am a salon Owner. When I need a plumber, I NEED a plumber. I have called Pipe X three times. They are quick to respond, quick to show up and they are professional, courteous and helpful! Not only that, they are affordable. I needed a Sunday visit and they only charge a small extra fee to come on Sunday. On a very busy Friday they couldn't get to me quickly, so they referred me to another company that they work with closely. The customer service is excellent, what customer service should be. So...we have a house and we've been dealing with leaks in the plumbing because of "grey pipe" when the house was built. Normally, when they happen, we call our "handy guys" and they come over. The other day we sprang one and our guys were unavailable. So...a little freaked out about needing to deal with a plumber, I searched and discovered PipeX. My first surprise was in speaking to Robert who answered the phone. His customer service skills were simply some of the best. Professional and courteous, he listened answered my questions in a friendly way. Made me feel like they'd be good. I set up a time and sat...fretting. He told me the cost was $145/hr which I thought was pretty good. I've had to pay a lot more in the past. As the day worn on, Robert called to give me a heads up that our service man Antonio was going to be running late. That it would run into his personal over time and it would end up coasting twice the amount. Robert wanted to know whether we could wait till tomorrow. Well....absolutely, thank you for giving me that option. We made an appointment for first thing the next day. Next day Antonio shows up. He's also professional and a really charming guy. Friendly and engaging. He checks the problem...small leak, no problem...fix..and he's gone in about 1 hour...$145. I'm pretty happy. Later that day I get a rather intense text from my wife...it's leaking again..EVEN WORSE! By the time I get home to check and call PipeX it's the end of the day. Robert, again is very nice..he's concerned and asks if he can send Antonio over the next morning. I agree, but I'm also concerned that I'm going to end up paying double for a job that should have been fixed right the first time. The next morning, Antonio shows up. He takes a look...it's a larger leak further up the pipe. He's going to have to cut into the wall...as he speaks, I'm seeing $$$$. I'm trying not to be pissed and assume that there's anything shady going on. Antonio the entire time is affable, professional and gets the job done again...this time, in a bit more than an hour. I walk him to his truck, ask the question: What do I owe you? He says..."Nothing...this was a call back. My fault." Image of me standing next to him....my mind blown. Great work PipeX. Timely. Buyer beware! While these guys did good and prompt work, they were anything but clear and transparent about the charges. The owner told me my job would be $216 (for time and a half) and didn't mention the common things that would cause it to be more - he repeated a couple times: just $216. He added that they aren't like Roto Rooter who quote a low number and ended up with a four- or five-fold higher price. While the work was going on, the technician called us three times. The first time he asked permission to go in through the wall - never mentioned any additional charges. The second time he asked if we would like him to do a video of the drain (which we didn't really need given that he found a big problem upstream) and said "it'll only be 10 minutes", which to me meant we would be charged for an additional 10 minutes (how much could that be? $30?). The third time he called to collect his fee and asked for $789!! He offered no explanation. I contacted the owner who did provide an itemized invoice and did offer to eat some of the charges (which I appreciate), but I still say "buyer beware," because unless you're really on your toes and ask all the right questions you could end up with a much bigger bill than you anticipated. read more

My shower failed, the cartridge went out during just about the worst possible day. I had to go to a doctor for a look at what I thought was a problem with surgery and our house had no water. Cannot recommend them as they delayed my tile project significantly. They installed my Multichoice valve backwards causing the water to come out the spout and shower head. They came back and fixed the issue however now the pipes do not line up and it looks incredibly unprofessional. Price was decent even though I was charged for an extra half hour. I clocked them there for 57 minutes. Can't recommend and will not ever use again. Only giving two stars because of the price, would be one if they were more expensive. read more

Their customer service was terrible. Their dispatch person was rude especially when trying to get a timeframe of service and no followup after I had called repeatedly. After awhile, honestly just gave up and a different plumbing company, MasterBaster was here promptly, gave great customer service and fixed and resolved the issue in a mater of minutes. This was after I wasted 1/2 a day and missed work for PipeX due to their unresponsiveness and lack of concern about giving good customer service. Would not recommend. Gave us a two hour window and they were an hour and a half past that time, causing me to be late for my own work appointment. When I emailed management about them being so late, they responded "that happens sometimes". Good customer service. Also, the person who did the work was fine, did what he needed to do - but brought the smell of cigarettes and dirt from his shoes into my home. It is already an inconvenience to do schedules during a block time frame, but I get why it has to be done and that's fine, but when they show up 25 minutes after they were supposed to be at my home, I cant help but feel frustrated. If you can't be punctual, than what is the point of making an appointment? When I called to find out where the person was the woman kept insisting that he was there, just in a different unit... Well that is not the same thing as being in my home between 8-10am like what was scheduled, and it was currently 10:20 which is why I am calling asking where he is. She was extremely rude and just continued to argue with me about how he was "there, just not in your unit", didn't even bother to apologize for the inconvenience. Quite frankly they were very unprofessional and rude, I would not recommend using them unless you want to sit around your house all day waiting for them to show up when they can, and to have the person who answers the phone be rude and condescending. read more

I recently had the terrible experience of having to have one of my sewer lines replaced I contacted PikeX to come out and do a quote. I was quoted a price of 145.00 to come out. When the tech got there he had to scope the line. I was not told that this would be 250.00. In talking with the tech, he said he was not licensed and if they did the work they would contract it out needless to say this did not instill confidence. They did scope it and their estimate was the cheapest but I decided to go with Priority Drain and Sewer instead. To my surprise I was charged 250.00. I contacted PipeX and they said it was for the scan. When I requested a copy of the scan they said they often don't record them. I will gladly pay the service call but I have contested the camera charge. I will keep you posted. read more

Inexperienced & Lazy! We had a leak coming through the ceiling of our apartment and PipeX was recommended by our HOA manager. So we called and a plumber came out pretty quickly. He spent about 15 minutes looking at our apartment and the one upstairs and confidently said it was a HVAC issue (air conditioner) and left us with a $144 bill and a recommendation to call a HVAC contractor. We did, and that person told us it was definitely plumbing - so we got another bill from HVAC and called a different plumber. That plumber fixed this issue (drain problem with washing machine). I wouldn't use Pipe X as it seems they don't hire qualified plumbers. read more

What I can say is that they were very quick, responsive and easy to schedule. I hired Pipe X to replace an undermount sink and faucet. I was pretty sure the sink I ordered was too small, so they spent a bit or time measuring and called to let me know it wouldn't work out. He knew I wanted to replace the sink, but after noticing it was leaking he called to ask if I wanted to replace the gasket. I assumed this was a quick and easy job- instead it added another hour of labor($144 and $40 in materials) for a sink I plan on replacing. I was willing to get past this, but then I came home to see they installed the faucet handle on the front instead of on the side like every other faucet I have seen. This alone makes me question the work that was done if the most basic install could not be done correctly. I called Pipe X right away, and he connected with the guy that did the job. The guy then called me acting like I told on him. He was disrespectful, rude, and snarky and said "I didn't have a picture of what you wanted, so I just guessed". This was a brand new faucet with two directions with clear pictures. I was extremely uncomfortable after the call, and didn't want him to be the one to come back to my house after the way he spoke to me. The boss did nothing other than hear me out and say he would talk to the guy. There was not a discount on the shotty work or disrespect by an employee. It baffled me that the employee took no accountability and that the owner wouldn't make an attempt to make things right. read more

Holy cow! These guys were incredible! I needed to replace my sewer pipe and got a very fair estimate from Chandler. Unfortunately they discovered that my sewer pipe was 20 feet down and it ended up being a huge job. Not only did they do it right, but were very reasonable with the cost considering it was twice the job they thought it would be. They also were impeccable in their clean up, making sure every little thing was back in its proper place. Sergio, the head of the crew was awesome and his crew worked like mad. My HOA ordered this company to come to my townhome for a clogged sink and I would not recommend this company. The plumber only said he clogged it from my sink when he told me it was not in my main it was in the secondary pipes. He didn't tell my HOA how far he went down on bill. The charge way too much money after p.m. Plus have pictures of him breaking my cold water valve and I have pictures to prove it. Would not recommend this plumbing company. The experience with these guys was a very negative one. In order to place an order for some water shut-off switch replacement work, they took my credit card info in advance. Then, they came out, spent a little time inspecting the outside of my property, and their supervisor called me to let me know that my unit *did not* have an individual water shut-off and that they need to call and make arrangements with the HOA to turn off water to multiple units in the complex. They said they'd be in contact with me. I said OK but they never contacted me since. One of their men came out to the property the very next day and *asked to raise the concrete in my backyard to look for the water shut-off*. This seemed super-weird as just the previous day his supervisor said my unit didn't have one and even more importantly I did not want to destroy $2000 concrete flooring in my small backyard because I know there is *no* water shut-off there. I was present when the concrete was poured and there were just sewer access points which the contractors left uncovered. Two weeks have elapsed, no one reached out to me, and now checking my credit card on my mobile device, I see a $192 charge on it. How about that? I call them and the receptionist says that the order has been marked as completed and that the work was done! Umm, no, no work was done so please don't bill me! And now that these guys have ruined my trust in them, I wouldn't want to deal with them. read more

Pipe X came within an hour of my call after my scheduled plumber was a no show! I was in quite the panic that I'd have to take another day off work to hire another plumber on different day. No NOT even ask these people to come out. They have a good scam where they don't mention any charges. They tell you that the estimate is free. Then they come back and try to get you for $144.00 charge for looking at a project. You should NEVER pay for an estimate UNLESS the disclose it up front BEFORE they come out. I have had several businesses over the years and never charged for an estimate. This is a new scam by people that double the price and then if you don't like it they try to get a few hours pay anyway. read more
