Nice selection of tea and coffee. They offer some free samples of tea so you can try out some flavors before ordering! Quite a cozy spot as well. The baristas were preparing something behind the counter as we were relaxing with our drink but whatever they were doing resulted in something exploding in a very loud and scary "pop" noise. Like a large balloon got popped but 10x louder and scarier. Still not sure what happened but no one was hurt so there's that. read more

Piper and Leaf has really exploded in Huntsville over the last couple of years! This particular iteration claims a fairly spacious building right by Constitution Hall Park, so it's an easy walk if you're exploring downtown. I've had P and L several times over the years, but I've been frequenting this location lately after work because it's hot out and cold iced tea is so refreshing! There's plenty of space to sit inside and they have free Wi-Fi, so this would also be a good spot to study or work if you're looking for that. They have hot tea, iced tea, coffee, hot chocolate, boba, etc. The staff is generally quite friendly and on my second visit they were especially helpful and provided great recommendations. I've tried the Sassyfrass Strawberry and the Orchard Peach. Both were good, but I liked the Orchard Peach better personally - it was slightly sweeter and just had more flavor. I do wish it didn't have to be caffeine free though, lol. The price is a little high for the size of the drink, and most of my visits I think they've gone a little too heavy on the ice, but P and L provides a tasty, colorful, refreshing treat perfect for hot days. So I usually don't get tea out because mostly it feels easy enough to make at home, but these folks sell some really good stuff. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of flavors they have, plus the store is adorable!! Today I finally tried a latte and oh my, finally a latte in Huntsville that tastes like coffee, plus I asked for the dirty chai flavor and it was a delicious touch! Not sure where they source their donuts from, but I know they don't carry them daily, but when they do it's a great treat because they're also delicious. I went there for afternoon tea and I really enjoyed it. I think their tea is often really good, but it is almost often bitter and needs honey or sugar. I found that this was true for afternoon tea as well. I think that it might be they steep their tea for too long. The tea choices were good. They had four all together, two caffeinated and two caffeine free, so there was something for everyone. I am amrita to apples so I have to be careful when I drink their tea because several have some in them. The small bits were good. They had a chicken salad croissant, which I could not eat because I'm allergic to chicken, but the person I went with said it was okay (needed a little salt). They had cucumber sandwiches, but not in proper afternoon tea preparation since they all had their crusts. These were actually pretty good, although the white bread was a tad mushy. The best part were the small desserts. There was a mini cinnamon roll,a brownie, and a lemon cake. The brownie and lemon cake were to die for and the trees paid really well with them. I highly recommend trying this at least once. read more

Cute tea shop in Constitution Park. They have so many different tea choices that it was hard to choose a brew. The tea appears to be higher end, so expect to pay about $5 drinks and $26+ for jars of loose leaf tea. I don't recommend iced tea though. My wife got it and it was completely filled to the brim with ice and barely had tea in it! Hot tea is a better option, more flavor too! read more

Stopped here after the 2021 Cotton Row Run. They were one of the few places open on Labor Day and a stop for our craft coffee trail passports. I tried their pumpkin moonshine tea and a latte with pumpkin moonshine in it. Both were great, but I love their tea more than their coffee. Next, I will try their boba. Obsessed doesn't even begin to cover how I feel about Piper & Tea Leaf. I did a little roadtrip down to Huntsville and I probably planned everything else around when I'd get to stop in here. The only complaint I have about P&TL is there is no store in Nashville. Otherwise, they are perfection. Their artisan tea blends are amazing and great quality. Their seasonal spritzers are great and I tried a springtime spritzer and the front porch spritzer. They have great merchandise for sale as well so I got some tea for myself then a sampler as a gift for my sister. The ambiance in this shop is great and it is in a historic building. It is spacious and there is plenty of seating. I cannot say enough good things about this place so I'll just end this right here: go now! read more

I absolutely love Piper & Leaf tea! It is my favorite tea. I love their tea so much I order it, have it mailed to my home and brew it using one of their brewing systems I purchased. I don't live in Huntsville anymore but whenever I come home I always stop by. I'm super happy about this location because it is close to where my mom lives and is convenient. I love how they brew and sweeten their tea. Its super simple and can be done at home. The at home version taste just as good as the shop version. I normally visit the location in Madison but since this is close to where I stay when I come into town, I now come to this location. At all of the locations I have been to, the staff is always very nice and helpful! I've tasted quite a few of their flavors which include: Orchard Peach, Sweetie Pie Chai, Lemon Berry Blush, Old Fashioned Birthday Cake, Briar Patch Brew, and Capri Cream. I've also tasted some of the other flavors as samples they have available at the stores, but I honestly don't remember how some of them taste. Haha! My favorites are Orchard Peach and Sweetie Pie Chai. This visit I had a Briar Patch Brew Frother. It's basically their version of a milk tea. It was amazing. It was creamy but not overly creamy and still had a tea taste. It tasted like a blueberry milk tea. It was a dessert in a cup! I will definitely order that again. My husband just got a good ole' Orchard Peach tea. Its always a classic and our fav. You can't go wrong with any tea you order from them. I love their teas and tea drinks! They are well balanced and you can taste all of the elements that are in the tea. Love, love, love them! read more

I made a day trip to Huntsville today with my husband and we stopped in at this gem of a tea/coffee shop. The tea was amazing! The barista told me they source their fruit and flowers locally and that this particular location had coffee (which not all locations do). She said they are well known for their iced teas and so I got the caramel apple pie iced tea off of their seasonal menu and it was fantastic! Very knowledgeable and friendly staff, great tea, and a great location to sit and chill inside or outside. Would highly recommend to anyone to check out this gem! read more

Wow, what an epic fail. Ordered small Birthday Cake iced tea, nothing complicated. On first sip I realized I just paid $4 for water. Clearly someone added about 1/50th of the amount of tea concentrate they should have. To add insult to injury, what tiny perceptible flavor was there was horrible - tasted like cough syrup. Sort of a numbing effect. We were too hot and tired to take it back. On the plus side, the shop was pleasant. read more

Picked up a bunch of tea here to use as presents. They have stylish packaging of their products. The clerk was helpful. This is a charming place, and I sure it's popular with the locals. I ordered a to-go tea, and it was excellent. On an early Saturday morning the place was empty. Tea drinkers like to sleep in a little--not like those coffee people who wake upearly looking for their black gold. By the way, this place does sell coffee my the cup, too. read more
