Story time: About 7 years ago, one of my best friends got married in Alabama where she currently resides. Her wedding was just stunning as it was held in a barn with so many remarkable things to describe that I can't possibly do it justice here. But one thing I can focus on is they hired Piper and Leaf to create an Iced tea bar and it was pure genius. Years later, while visiting that same friend, when driving around Alabama, we pass a tea place and when I ask to stop there my friend says "You know that tea place, they were at my wedding. They moved locations since!" We make a pit stop to at a cute little tea shop with various different types of loose tea and kitchen essentials. They have many types of tea but I got a jar of Piper Mint Blues and a new kitchen towel. While checking out we got to chat with the counter person who was super sweet and very knowledgeable about the tea I was purchasing. You can also order a beverage to go! What a great spot. We made an overnight stop here through Harvest Hosts, and it was the perfect retreat after a long day of driving with our 5th wheel. It was a peaceful, welcoming spot to relax, enjoy a delicious meal, and sip on several cups of hot tea and cider. They offered a cozy menu of turkey and chicken salad sandwiches, each served with your choice of chips. While we were there, they also had a beautifully lit Christmas tree lot, adding a charming festive touch. If you're traveling by car and need a halfway point, they also offer an on-site Airbnb rental. Whether you're passing through or just in need of a restful stop, this place is definitely worth it--especially for fellow tea lovers like me! read more

I've become a pretty big fan of Piper and Leaf over the past year or so. They're an artisan tea company with lots of tasty blends. I came through here last week on my way back to town from Hartselle. This is a larger storefront than the other two I frequent (Constitution Park and Lowe Mill). It has sort of farm vibes and I think I've seen some advertisements about tours so you can learn about their production and such. Kinda cool, might be fun sometime. They have nice rocking chairs and seats on the porch. Inside, there are gifts and lots of P&L accessories. You can order teas, some coffee, and hot chocolate. Some of their locations also do boba but I didn't catch whether they have it here or not. There's also usually a handful of pastries and other snacks if you're peckish. They have a LOT of different flavors. In addition to their regular menu, there's usually 2-3 seasonal special flavors available too. Honestly, I haven't really met a flavor I've particularly DISliked, but some of my current favorites are: front porch special (classic southern style tea), the orchard peach (fruity profile, prefer this to Sassyfrass strawberry, which I find a tiny bit medicinal), and the sweetie pie chai (the sweetest of the three imo - tastes like fall in a cup to me!). I plan on working my way through all the flavors at all the locations eventually. :) The staff is very good about providing recommendations and also willing to customize the drink to your liking. You can request sweet or half sweet or extra sweet, or even ask them to blend multiple flavors together. The girl here on my most recent visit was sweet and personable. I do still think the price is fairly high for a non-alcoholic beverage, but...that's clearly not stopping me from visiting often, lol. Some of the cost can be mitigated by buying a reusable jar for your tea and bringing it to each visit. They also have punch cards and when you get to ten punches, you get a free refill! Not sure about this location, but right now, Tuesdays are double punch days at Constitution Park. :) Give them a go for a unique, delicious, and fun experience! read more

Love this place! From their teas and coffees to the drinkware and tshirts. Everything is great quality! Even went to a class on coffee roasting over an open fire and it was so fun! This is my absolute favorite place to get tea! Unfortunately, I don't live near the stores, so I have to make it myself at home, but I order it all the way from California. I love the flavor variety and that there are caffeine free options. My favorite flavor by far is Piper Mint Blues. There are so many options for customizing the tea to be just how I like it too! (My favorite way to drink it is with a sugar free syrup sweetener that I make at home, so I can have all the taste I love without all the sugar I don't!) This is truly Huntsville's hidden gem. Piper and Leaf Tea can be purchased all across the world (and online), but it's all blended and processed here in Alabama. This locally owned business has grown into a local staple, with partner restaurants carrying their brews and brick-and-mortar cafes across the south. We visited on their Marker's Market Friday, which is a small street fair every 2nd and 4th Friday. This was an opportunity to connect with local artisans, family farmers, and musicians. The dog treat vender was amazing. We also bought tickets to tour the warehouse. It was a 45 minute guided tour about the process and history of the family-owned company. We even got a free drink, pint jar, and metal straw (which would have been the same price as a tour anyways-- so it was worth it). You can even bring their branded jars back to any of their cafes for a discount on your next drink. The farm is clean, with areas for sitting and sipping. They had a friendly shop dog to greet all visitors on the porch. The entire experience is unique and fun for the whole family. My wife and I are new to the area and trying to find our new spots: coffee shops, takeout food etc. I am so glad we came to Piper and Leaf for coffee! They were extremely helpful and have some delicious items on their menu. We discussed our orders with the barista and both settled on a coffee/tea mix. My latte was flavored with Piper and Leaf's seasonal tea, it tasted like a chocolate covered strawberry, it was fantastic. It's not a cheap spot, but you definitely get what you pay for; I strongly recommend Piper and Leaf. read more

Their tea is so good! And the atmosphere of the shoppe is very cute. I would totally go there if you like tea. Their hot teas are my favorite and I have several of their tea bags at my house. I love love love it read more
