Really nice spot, everyone working there was friendly and knowledgeable. My wife really enjoyed their signature classic and they sweetened it to her desired level. I had a bubble tea, not the powdered style but steeped tea, milk and boba. Only thing I'd like to see happen is for them to cook the boba in honey and maybe cook them a bit longer. Not going to nitpick because they made the boba just for me, but being a bubble tea guru it needed honey and they were a bit too chewy. Piper and Leaf is a family-owned tea company selling artisan tea. They have a lot of different flavors and I wish I had time to sample them all! I got their Briar Patch Brew in a mason jar. The mason jars are a cute souvenir from the experience. The tea itself was on the sweeter side but I really liked the flavor of the one that I bought. Their tea in the muslin bags would make a cute gift for a friend or family member. They sell gift sets that contain samples of each tea which are adorable. I will say that their tea is not cheap but it is good quality so it is worth the price. I hope I find myself back in Huntsville to try other flavors! read more

We were around the area and wanted something to quench our thirst. We noticed that there were bobas offered on Saturdays so we had to stop by to try. The place is very tiny and cozy. There was a lot of tea options and they also offered loose leaf teas to go. I liked the concept. I wished it really stood out as much as others have said. The teas have a distinct tasty flavor but did not go so well with boba. The boba was very lightly sweetened. The straw was a pain to suck the bobas through. We luckily had boba straws that we were able to switch when we got home. Like one of the reviews below stated, the amount of sweetness was just right but after the ice diluted it was very flavorless. We got the strawberry shindig and orchard peach tea. It was good but just not that memorable. The service I would say is very top notch. How cool is it to get locally-grown and artistically-blended tea in a huge mason jar that you can then refill over and over at multiple locations for a discount? Or if you live out of town, use the jar for water (it's 32 oz). I am not a sweet tea drinker whatsoever, and I will actually only drink it from this place. My favorite is their Birthday Cake--yes...it tastes like birthday cake and it is completely amazing. You can buy all flavors of their teas in these nifty little fabric bags that double as reusable tea bags (complete with non-toxic ink!). They have a nice sitting area inside, or you can walk around Lowe Mill (which I recommend) sipping tea and enjoying local art. You can purchase a mason jar and get discounted refills at their shop and at farmers markets. They also sell loose leaf tea so that you can make some yourself. The best tea I have ever had. My husband & I have loved loose leaf tea for years & we normally bought offline or out of town. We made it ourselves considering there is no good tea place around and when we discovered Piper & Leaf we fell in love. We go and get tea 4-5 times a week now and refill our jars. For the same amount of money and caloric intake, you can get a sandwich at Happy Tummy. $5 is the going rate for a drink here that's mostly sugar- 3 large pumps of artificial sweetener with a tiny bit of tea in there (300-400 calories for a tea?). Their tea without the sweet syrup isn't great, plus its an extra $1 for milk. $2 will buy you cream for a week! Not a fan! read more
