Ever since the Beaverton Jim & Patty's closed, I've been searching for a coffee spot that fills the void. Universal Coffee is just about the closest I can find. The Mexi-mocha, and horchata cold brew are my two favorite drinks. The dirty champurrado was delicious as well. If Alex is there, you're bound to enjoy a daily dose of genuine kindness and meet a barista who takes pride the quality drinks he crafts.

Their tamales are absolute dog water. I'm whiter than white and could make a tamale that's 1000x better in my sleep. It wasn't a one off either, all 3 of the tamales ordered are like this.

Brand new hole in the wall coffee shop. The selection of drinks is impressive. The gentleman there was super sweet and ready for all your questions. My husband loved his horchata cold brew. His ham and cheese Croissant was super flaky and good. We shared an affogato, the coffee was very strong but perfectly balanced with the sweet vanilla. I liked it, honey said it was good but too strong for him. My breve had too much cream but was good. Lastly the berry scones are huge, buttery and good. I'd definitely recommend to support them. Now if they only had ice cream too.....

Not good. Not as advertised. The positive reviews appear to be AI generated. The coffee was not good. The chai was not drinkable.

Great coffee. Decent prices. Very friendly staff. In addition to the beverages, their tamales and scones are really good. Highly recommend.

But one bite in and it was clear it hadn't been warmed. When I mentioned it wasn't fresh, the staff defended it saying it was made the night before. Exactly my point -- if it was made the night before, warm it up. Even Starbucks does that. It was dense, cold, and not enjoyable at all. The coffee I ordered extra hot, and it wasn't. Within a few sips it was already lukewarm. That's a basic request that should be easy to get right. The atmosphere is okay visually, but it's packed with laptop workers and there's barely any space to sit and relax. People treat this place like a co-working space and give you stares if your kid makes any noise. It's a coffee shop, not a library or an office. And the tip screen before you even taste anything? Hard pass on that concept. I carry cash and I tip based on actual experience -- that's how it should work. Service was polite but dismissive when there was a real complaint. Probably won't be back.

It's packed with savory flavor, and the egg has an incredibly light, cloud-like texture that pairs perfectly with the bacon, peppery arugula, and the rest of the ingredients. It's one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've had. Their lattes are just as impressive. I've tried both the ube coconut latte and the black sesame latte, each made with plant-based milk instead of regular milk. The ube coconut latte was smooth, well-balanced, and not overly sweet. The black sesame latte, however, was the standout for me. It had a rich, nutty flavor and is hands-down my favorite of the two. I don't believe it's a regular menu item, so if you happen to see it, I'd definitely recommend giving it a try. Loro is on the pricier side, which is why I don't visit as often as I'd like, but I genuinely think it's worth it. The quality of the food and drinks makes it feel like a special treat. The only reason I'm giving four stars instead of five is the parking. The café is tucked between apartments and other retail spaces, so street parking is your only option. I've had to circle the block several times before finding a spot, making it less convenient if you're driving. Parking aside, this is a charming neighborhood coffee shop that consistently serves flavorful food and thoughtfully crafted drinks. If you're looking to treat yourself to an exceptional breakfast sandwich and a beautifully made latte, Loro Coffee is well worth the visit.

Pretty disappointed at this place after my daughter brought me here for the first time…read more I ordered the Peach Fruit Tea with 50% sweet, light ice and Crystal Boba. Results- - Canned (not fresh) peaches used in drink. This may have caused weird aftertaste that does not have that familiar peach flavor like other places. - Flavor is way too sweet for 50%. - Light ice was done correctly When I walked away I quickly realized that they did not add my crystal boba toppings to my drink. I just had a few slices of lemons. After walking back to let them know, the girl who prepared my drink admitted to the guy that I questioned the issue about that she forgot to add it. No apologies from the girl directly and it was passive but only from the guy whom I mentioned the issue to. They have a lot of young kids working here and it looks like they work fast but they need to read the ingredients to fulfill the order correctly and to be consistent. I may give this place another try but will be sorely disappointed if they miss the mark again. (FYI- This exact location used to be Nobibi which quickly went downhill and this new business took over.)

It may have just been our experience, but the first impression wasn't great. Location - If you're not familiar with the area, I highly recommend using GPS because it's tucked away on the corner of a large apartment complex and is easy to miss. It's essentially hidden. There are fewer than a small handful of guest parking spots in the complex, and the rest are reserved for residents. Street parking is available, but that's limited as well. Service - This is the primary reason for the rating. The staff member who helped us came across as less than friendly. Since it was our first time, we mentioned we were leaning toward one drink and just wanted to confirm a few things about less ice and size. He responded with "What drink?" and proceeded as if we were ready to order, without really addressing our questions. It wasn't the words themselves, but the tone and approach that felt rude. When I later asked for a receipt, he pointed to the tablet screen where it mentioned receipts would be emailed, though he did eventually hand me a printed copy. Overall, the interaction just didn't feel welcoming. Drinks - We ordered the Ube Vietnamese coffee with less ice, though it still came with quite a bit of ice. The ube was more of a thick cream consistency, which just isn't personally my preference. The Vietnamese coffee was strong, similar to what you would typically find elsewhere.
