Pirate coffee has a great selection of coffee along with a little shop. The shop had painted whales made out of driftwood hung up for sale all around the cafe. my dad and sister both bought one. But the main highlight was the banana bread latte. Exquisitely delectable. Definitely would recommend. read more

Hubby has become a connoisseur of local coffee and buying a bag of locally made coffee wherever we go. We stopped here for him to get a bag and I saw Dubai chocolate espresso drink and had to try it. The house blend is rotated everyday with the coffee that they roast at the store. The also sale snacks, bagels, coffee cake etc. as well they roast their own coffee. Great spot to stop by morning or afternoon. This is a family business that pours a great cup of Joe. Various selections in perfectly brewed barista style drinks. I enjoy their spicey Mexican style drip. They also roast their own beans. Great and fun t-shirts, and smart alikey signs, coffee mugs and hats. We've driven by Pirate many, many times...just never stopped in. This weekend we decided to give it a try, and I'm glad we did. We went in for some breakfast right as they opened Saturday, and there was already a line. We ordered a breakfast burrito, blueberry coffee cake, and a pumpkin scone to share, as well as coffee and a latte. I didn't have the highest expectations for the burrito, as they make it clear they're pre-made. But honestly, although it was really too small to split, it was quite good. Lots of great flavor in that wee burrito. The coffee cake and scone were good, large portions of those. Tasty coffees as well. Service was fast and friendly, and the place is cute...they have a variety of trinkets and clothing items for sale along with the food options. I wouldn't hesitate to stop by again, I probably just wouldn't share my burrito next time. ;) read more

The best coffee & brews in Depoe Bay. The spicy winch is my favorite along with the Bonfire comes with Chipotle, normally I do not care for Spicy in my hot drink. BONFIRE is my exception. New find this trip and I love the theme..argggh They make coffee the way I like it, not super sugary and the coffee was all there in the drink. I had the Spicy Wench (love the pirate coffee theme, just fun) which was a dirty chai with I think butterscotch (sorry kind of forgot) but it was perfect balance of coffee and drink. They sell beans, drinks, merch and have a great outdoor place to sit as well as nice indoor seating but not open currently. Worth the stop if you looking for a nice coffee shop in Depoe Bay. read more

Stayed near here a few years ago, asked a couple of tasting questions before I settled on the Mexican Chiapas blend. Went back to the hotel, ground and brewed up a French Press-full, and WOW was it a great addition to our ocean-front vacation ambiance. PCC is a local micro-roaster, roasting much of their coffee fresh in-house! Very gourmet, great quality in DepoeBay, a must-try. read more

So cool :D Anyways, my gf and I are always on the hunt for the best lavender latte and the people at Pirate Coffee really provided. Most lavender lattes barely have any lavender flavor but this one was justtt right. The breakfast burritos were also very tasty and filling. I was super pleased that they had a vegetarian option. If u get the burrito, I suggest getting the hotsauce too, it might be a little too dry without it. read more

We stopped for a coffee and discovered a really great shop! They were small batch roasting beans and we were able to watch for a bit. They have some cute jewelry, art, and a couple of books written by a girl in the shop. I wasn't sure which drink to choose and she recommended the Spicy Wench...it was delicious. I came to Depoe for vacation, and have been going to Pirate Coffee for a little while. Everything about it is great their staff is so friendly and welcoming. They have great coffee and scones. It's so fun to go, because most everything is pirate themed outside the place they have a life-sized statue of Blackbeard and a drink named after him. Ordered a 12oz cappuccino from supposedly the "best of the best coffee" and I would I disagree with that statement. To preference, I like strong coffee. I want to taste the coffee or espresso in this case. Basically my drink tasted like steamed milk with a slight hint of coffee. My husband ordered the brewed coffee, black, and he said his coffee was average. We also ordered a blueberry scone, which I'm sorry to say was very doughy. I hate giving negative reviews, especially to independent business. The three stars goes to the service, friendly and quick. I guess my take on this place is that If you like a lighter cup of coffee then this place would be fine, but if you are like me and prefer a more rich and bolder taste of coffee, then you might be a bit disappointed. read more

What could be improved is updating their hours when they are closed (I walked there when their online hours stated they were open, when I got there they were closed. UPDATE HOURS ACCORDINGLY). I am a morning person and enjoy coffee about 7AM. This shop doesn't open until 9AM during the week and 8AM on the weekends. Locals love it, service is good and quick, fun to shop while waiting and they are following COVID guidelines. Trying to support small local business but this place was just Meh and nothing special. The decor is misleading giving you the sense when passing by that they have a cool different spin on drinks. I'm guessing because of all the precautions and their super limited drink menu this place didn't have anything that hit a home run with us. It's basic and average. I will definitely give it another chance once things open up a little more and hopefully they will expand their menu soon. read more

Almost want to keep this place a secret because it was soooo damn good, I don't want to share. It was so good we stopped a 2nd time on the same day.
