Deluxe with pineapple and banana peppers... Super Yum!!

Amazing pizza!! We always have great food from this Imos, but tonight they surpassed their previous efforts!! I don't know what they did better than usual, but whoever created and cooked this pizza deserves to be given a raise!! Everything was well cooked, but not overcooked.

I am not a native St. Louisian. And for years I resisted this pizza. I hated it! I thought it was awful and that's mostly because of the cheese (and I love just about every kind of cheese out there). That provel just killed me. It tasted weird on it's own and even weirder when combined with their sweet sauce. But I recently heard a friend mention that you could request mozzarella instead of provel (or do 50/50). Another factor that brought me around to giving Imo's another shot was the thin crust. Now that I've cut bread out of my day-to-day diet, I really don't miss it. So the idea of a thin, crisp crust is really attractive to me. So, a few nights ago I went to this Imo's with my friend Ms. W to try Imo's for the first time in about seven years. I'd heard quite a few people talk about the Meat Pizza being awesome simply because of the sheer amount of bacon. I knew this was the pizza for me! I ordered a small Meat Pizza and planned on only eating half....yeah. That didn't happen! I ate the whole thing and I have no regrets! I'm officially an Imo's fan!

Food good, employee suck. I just wanted eat in a decent environment ..... and all I listened to was Imos employees complain about other Imos employees. The woman complaining and GOSSIPING I think was the manager. I'll go back, but not "eat in", unless you like negative people bitching. PS: Most of the employees look dirty and unkept (I guess what to expect at a pizza place)

I got the gluten friendly cauliflower crust and my pizza was very good! It wasn't too busy so service was fairly fast.

I like Imo's deluxe pizza, but to get a14"delivered costs $24 and change. For one 14"pizza. Crazy.

I then ordered the pizza diavola with straciatella which was also very good. I'm a sucker for neapolitan style pizza. It's a big place with many seating options and good service. The food will be very familiar from the perspective that everything we had was excellent. We started with calamari, and to our surprise there were also a small group of onion straws on the plate. It was served with 2 sauces (one marinara and one aioli - both were excellent). Don't skip the fried lemons, they are an added treat. We then moved on to the Napoli salad, it is as described on the menu...crisp, and appropriately dressed. Then we had the special pizza of the evening, it was a black garlic base (not strong) with mushrooms and burrata on top - delicious. We also happen to be sitting next to the area with the pizza oven - a must see if you are there. We did sit inside, but outdoor seating was available. What might not be so familiar, but I thought was great, was a more casual atmosphere, and decor, I would classify is as upscale casual. Our server was very pleasant, the only thing that surprised me was the time in between courses seemed a bit longer than expected, but that gave my friends and I a chance to catch up. Overall, a very enjoyable experience and I will be back!!

The atmosphere is nice--upscale without feeling overly snobbish or pretentious. We had a great waitress who provided wonderful service, but the tall busboy with the long bangs was a bit overbearing. He constantly hovered around us, including picking up a fork we dropped even after we told him we had it. Additionally, he started boxing up our food without even asking. I'm sure he was only trying to be helpful, but it made the experience feel a little uncomfortable. To start, the bread was delicious. We also ordered an Amaretto Stone Sour, which was just decent. I personally didn't taste much, if any, orange juice in it, which was disappointing. Just straight amaretto. For my entrée, I tried the Tortellini Piselli. It was good, but extremely rich. I could only eat about a quarter of it before I started feeling a little sick from how heavy it was. My mom ordered the Chicken Milanese and enjoyed it overall, although she wished it came with a sauce. She found the chicken to be a bit dry without one. Overall, it wasn't a horrible dinner by any means, but I'm not sure we'd return anytime soon. The atmosphere was pleasant and the food was decent, but there wasn't anything that really stood out enough to make us want to come back right away...

All though, we may have scarred our poor server; I believe his name was Riley, for life. We came in on July 5th. After having celebrated an 80th birthday on Friday and a 250th on Saturday, we needed food. Poor Riley, jokingly asked my cousin if we all managed to keep out fingers. To which my cousin; having lost a finger to a table saw years ago, held up his hand and showed the server he was missing a digit. The young man's face was priceless. He excused himself to compose himself. He was such a good sport and came back and said he had, "put in his two weeks notice". Young man, if you read this, our family had a blast. The food was tremendous and every staff member that helped out was just as impressive as the previous one. Highly recommend GIO.
