Probably the best pizza place I've had in Malden. Consistently solid pie and delivery is fairly quick as well. Can't say how anything else is, but the pizza has been solid every time we have ordered. First time ordering from here and definitely won't be the last. The order process (for delivery) was smooth, the young man was so friendly over the phone, and the delivery man arrived within 30 minutes and he was the nicest guy ever!! Told me about a deal that goes on Tuesdays (Buy One, Get one). I ordered a chicken parm calzone since everyone was raving about it. And wow. Just wow. Who knew a chicken parm calzone would taste so good? The small could definitely feed more than 1 person. So huge. The chicken was so fresh and juicy, the melted cheese and sauce was just right, and the crust was perfectly cooked - soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. Went to Pisa Pizza for the first time a few weeks ago and was impressed. Ordered some Sicilian slices with pepperoni and it was great. However, this past Saturday, I have no idea what happened. It's definitely a locals vibe where everyone seems to know each other, but we didn't feel like outsiders despite that. The pizza arrived on time, looked pretty nice, but when I started to eat it I realized that the crust was completely burned, and that it had no flavor or consistency at all. In the 00's, I had friends living right across the street from Pisa Pizza, and it was our go-to place for lunch, and food for parties and general sports-watching. Their pepperoni pizza was my favorite of its type anywhere, and it was equally good fresh or ordering by the slice (and their slices were huge). On my first trip back in several years, I see the dining area has gotten another face-lift/improvement, and the food remains just as good. We didn't get pepperoni pizza, so I can't compare then to now. But what we got was still awesome. That would include their breakfast pizza - absolutely perfect crust - and a half-sheet deluxe. The ingredients were really fresh, and it tasted just like the way I like to make my own pizza at home. Pisa Pizza is definitely one place for which I would go out of my way for a meal as often as possible. read more

Spent my first New Years Day in Boston by NOT going to the Winter Classic, but instead ordering pizza and watching it in glorious HD. I decided to go with Pisa off Yelp reviews and crossed my fingers that they happened to be open on New Years day. I call...they answer! They didn't put me on hold! They take my order for a Half rack or whatever it's called of Sicilian style pizza. Half pepperoni, half mushroom. Within 20-25 minutes, pizza guy is at my door. Sicilian is slammin. Not burnt, not doughy. Bill comes out to $20 which may seem like a lot of half a Sicilian (12 generously sized squares), but if you factor in slices at other places could be 2-3 bucks a piece, it's worth it. I had it for dinner two more nights in a row and still had left overs. Plus they delivered to Medford. Satisfied. read more

Anyhow, I had been parking literally in front of this place for months before I ever thought to go in. One day I was starving, had to go to an appointment, and knew I'd need some food to avoid feeling faint. I decided to check this place out, and was so surprised when I walked in. The place is really nice on the inside-- wood decor, comfortable seating. From the outside, it looks slightly dive-ish. The staff here was fantastic while I was ordering. They brought my pizza slices (which were the biggest I'd ever gotten at a pizza joint) out to me and were so friendly. Yeah! The pizza itself was sooooo good!!!! I'm very picky about the pizza I eat, and this place has absolutely delicious pizza. Pisa pizza is legendary in Malden. I think mostly because they do a lot of events for the school where a certain percentage of all sales in a certain night will go to say, the chorus, or a sports team or whatever. That's probably the best thing about the place. I'm sorry but, people of Malden, you clearly have no taste buds. The crust has zero flavor and it's usually hard as a rock. The rest is mediocre at best. My mom orders from here often because they have the two-for-one deal on tuesday. As Missy D. said, i'm all about the Chidken/Ranch/Bacon pizza. Their crust is thick too and not like some places who pretty give you a cracker with some sauce on it to crunch on. If you don't like pizza portions with "real" size, you probably wouldn't like them. The gal on the phone was super Massachusetts though. I love the accent so I found the quality in her very "campy". The only thing I have ever ordered from here was pizza. I used to be a huge fan, but lately it has been a little off. The dough is absolutely delicious (by far the most important part), the sauce is good, but, they add way to much cheese and it gets extremely chewy and stringy. Even though I order light on the cheese, it is still way too much. I just hate when you take a bite and 2 minutes after you're still chewing the cheese as if it's bubble gum. [original] I can't think of a way of describing the cheese pizza without feeling shame. The same shame you would feel telling some kid honestly that he or she didn't win the race because he or she just kind of sucks at running. My honey bbq chicken pizza experience, though....ugh. Mold wouldn't even want this pizza. It's a pizza covered in honey with cheese and chicken floating around in there. The bbq-honey sauce must be homemade, because any company mass producing the stuff will go out of business real soon. The chicken was..... you know what, just don't get this pizza. First we were served bbq chicken strips instead of the honey bbq chicken pizza by mistake, and they told us to just keep it while they made the pizza. That was nice. I ordered one of their "Specialty Pizzas" (Margharita) and it was, indeed, ready for pick up at exactly the time they said it would be. My only solid criticism is that same "Specialty"pizza was completely bland. Flavorless. Dull. Boring. To me that indicates pretty sub par ingredients. I just created an account and anxious to make this my first review. Good customer experience... terrible pizza. The people are nice and friendly, but their pizza is among the worst I ever had. They are popular in the area because on Tuesdays they offer a free large cheese pizza with any other large pizza order. Considering Malden is big into darts, and sponsoring bars have promised to give each team a minimum of 1 pizza, this 2-for-1 deal is a perfect cheap solution for them. Personally I feel it is like being offered a complimentary pile of crap with any sandwich order. The pizza tastes like cardboard wih sauce and cheese and I feel nearly all comments here are fake and posted by employees or friends of the business. I know my pizza and I know this pizza is garbage. I haven't tried anything else on the menu but I don't see the point in calling yourself a pizza shop if you can't make decent pizza. Dig deep in the comments and you will find others who say the same. So if you're looking for pizza as lousy as Dominos delivered to your door, you mine as well just call Dominos. There is no shortage of pizza places in the Malden area, but Pisa Pizza is hands down my top pick when it comes to calzones! The calzones are huge - a small will easily feed 3 people. And instead of having crazy melty-cheesy overload on top of the calzone, all of the cheesy goodness is contained within a perfect oblong crust - which is golden brown and delicious. My go-to calzone choice is the chicken and broccoli with extra marinara on the side. Heavenly. The pizzas are also super tasty. The sauce is perfect and the pies are always crispy. No soggy crusts here. As if you needed another reason to try this place: Pisa Pizza has a buy 1, get a large cheese pizza deal on Tuesdays (maybe carry out only? I'm not sure...) PIZZA FOR DAYS. OH! I'm originally from the New York area (about 1.5 hours outside NYC) and I have been dying for some good NY style pizza ever since I have moved to MA. For the past year or so I've been searching, longing, feeling unfulfilled. This is easily the best pizza I have had in MA. It's not as good as 100% genuine New York style, but man it's close (and I mean you really can't blame them, you need NYC water to make a good NYC pizza). It was nice and thin, the sauce and cheese was just awesome. And, we went on I think a Tuesday night, and it was "buy one get one free" pizzas. I mean, how can that be beat? I had pizza for a couple of days after that (it reheated terribly in the microwave at work, but whatever). The restaurant itself is actually really nice, too. It looks like they've just remodeled. By far the best the best service I have received in a long time. I was welcomed by a friendly group of lady's when I entered the business. I was quickly explained that today was a special pizza day if I purchased a large pizza I would get a free large cheese pizza. I purchased a spicy sausage pizza which was perfectly cook had plenty of cheese and toppings. The pizza was prepared while I waited and came out with 10 mins or less .
