I have been repeatedly impressed, not just by the fact that the Chicken Caesar Wraps are consistently delicious, that every time I call they are bright and chipper! Did I mention how good the Chicken Caesar Wraps are? My boyfriend was not so impressed with the Creamy Parmesan and Garlic Chicken Wrap, but that was merely because there was just such a high amount of the parmesan sauce (which he thinks may be mainly mayo based, but I'm not sure). Best pizza I've ever had. The on,y thing that keeps them from getting 5 stars are the prices. They are a bit more expensive than some of the other pizza joints in the area. However, if you're more interested in quality rather than quantity than Pisa Pizza is the place to go. I usually do take out, but the restaurant was recently renovated and it looks fantastic. Pisa immediately gets 2 stars for being owned by a Malden Catholic alum. We all know how upstanding and professional these people are (heh heh). I've been eating this pizza ever since my high school days and the quality has always been consistently good. I'm a huge fan of their Sicilian (or square) style pizza. They have your typical toppings and other things such as cold subs and wings. +1 star. I have mostly done take out and their delivery service is extremely prompt and out of the numerous times I've ordered from them, I've never had any sort of issues. You can eat in if you'd like - they have a number of tables and a couple of TVs to watch your favorite Boston sports. +1 star. Got takeout have had it couple of times I just always happen to pick it up but they do have delivery and the area they cover is pretty big. It was day of the big storm a couple weeks ago so I needed my pizza fix. I ordered a large pepperoni mushroom onions and extra cheese pizza. I got there early and as I was waiting I saw them come out with tray pizza (squares) it looked so good I asked if they sold slices which they did so I had them add pepperoni to a couple of squares they heated it up and it was delicious. The regular pizza also was great plenty of toppings they don't skimp and pizza was baked perfectly. The place has a consistent product that's always loaded prepared the way you ask never ever have I had a problem or pizza that I disliked. Old fashioned NY pizza from the 50's and 60's was served on wax paper. That was because the pizza had olive oil and the mozzarella cheese strung out. It was also sprinkled with oregano. Delicious ! Most pizza places no olive oil and you know the cheese doesn't string out because its not mozzarella. It's pizza cheese. A mixture of white American and other cheap cheeses. I make relatively frequent visits here when I have a bigger appetite than usual (Italian food usually does the trick), I get a small (which is still large IMO) calzone with spinach, black olive and broccoli (less on the cheese). It's fantastic, and not greasy. I've been other places who've tried but not succeeded like Pisa does. Due to a miscommunication this Eve, the waitress came out to tell me that my calzone is on it's way and handed me a small pizza with the same ingredients I ordered. That also hit the spot and now I have more than a full lunch for tomorrow, at no extra charge. My wife and I are leaving Malden and the first thing we'll miss is Pisa Pizza. I don't know where the 1 and 2 star reviews come from - there's no accounting for taste I suppose - but know that there is a reason that after 53 (54 with me) reviews, it still has 4 stars: it's damn good pizza. This is our local pizza spot. After doing a through pizza analysis of all Malden pizza when we moved here over 10 years ago Pisa Pizza was the winner. This isn't fancy pizza (no duck or potato toppings) it is just good old fashion New England pizza. We always order the standard pizza - crispy (basically cooks a bit longer so veggie pizza doesn't come out soggy). I only recently tried their Sicilian style pizza and LOVE it! Their pizza is absolutely phenomenal. I get a semi complicated order since my bf and I both love buffalo sauce but I don't eat meat. Lol. The girl at the front is very sweet. This is the only restaurant that hasn't made it difficult to order from. I get the buffalo chicken speciality pizza without chicken on half. Other places have literally given me half cheese, which is interesting. They still put the buffalo sauce, red roasted pepper and ranch on it. So so so good. Now, this pizza is truly in my top five list, below Pinnochio's Sicilian slices in Cambridge and New York Pizza in Malden, but WAY above DiPietro's in Malden. They have awesome mozzarella sticks and calzones as well. I never ask for delivery, since I live so close, but they have an ARMY of drivers at all hours who pass by my house. It is also a better "pizza restaurant" - meaning that their tables are more private than most joints, and they have outdoor seating in the summer. Never get their wings though. read more

My brother told me this was the best pizza in Malden so I had to try it. We drove in to the parking lot and I noticed 5 cars with the pisa pizza sign on the car so there must be alot of pizzas delivered in the area. The place is very bright and there were alot of families that seem to eat here. Tuesdays is also family night so if you order one large pizza, you get one large cheese pizza for free! I got the chicken and broccoli pizza which I really loved. I also tried the ranch, bacon and chicken pizza which was also pretty good. The cheese pizza was ok but I would stick with the specialty pizzas. The price was reasonable and the people working there were very friendly. I would come back here next time I visit. read more

When I lived in Malden, this was my go-to pizza place. After reading the yelp reviews, I gave this place a try with my parents. The pizza is definitely exactly what you would expect out of a northeastern pizza place! I never had them deliver because I lived so close, but I would always see their cars out and about in malden delivering. they are popular! Skinny: I take a lot of people here and they like it very much. I usually just get regular pizza, no toppings. he uses high quality cheese (Grande') and makes his own dough and sauce. Comes out excellent Thin or thick crust is spectacular! get it hot though - you gotta love it right out of the oven (even though I'm lactose intolerant, I sneak some of this pizza once every 2-3 months:) Full story: I have been eating his pizza since 1997or 98 and long ago the owner showed me his process. Specifically: Home made dough home made sauce unseasoned (seasoning makes sauce acidic gives you heart burn) high quality cheese- never used the cheap stuff even though the price of cheese has doubled or more since I've been going. he seasons the cheese by the way to avoid the acidizing of the sauce the pizza comes out awesome - he does not use those conveyor belt ovens, he uses gas fired brick/like ovens I believe. it makes that crispy crust - i alternate between thick and thin slices. great for bringing a group of kids to a pizza party. read more

The pizza here is not what I would order if I didn't have two kids asking for it. They've got good ongoing specials (two pizzas, two fries and a couple of sodas under 20 bux) so I do order frequently to appease the kids. If I do go I HAVE To order the boneless wings ... I get em "Mary" style... they give you all the sauces which makes it neat to mix it up a bit. If you get Mary on the phone she's a howl (totally adds character to the experience)... when I call she sees my number and asks if I ever cook!!! LOL! Tell her I sent you! They do great fundraisers for the kids and are really involved in the community, sponsoring hockey, baseball and lots of local events so for this they get huge kudos! I If you're going out with just adults I'd say go to Regina but if there's kids involved this place is great. They really like it. They even host "make your own pizza nights" if you've got little ones. Mine are a bit old for that now but still get a kick out of going there rather than takeout/delivery because they love to harass Mary!!! I've got teenagers so when I'm feeding the world (parties and such) I order from here they give decent discounts for bigger than normal orders if you call ahead! read more

When Pisa was on my way home from the T I used to go here all of the time. I still take the time to walk out every couple of months because the pizza's really quite good. Just taking a wiff of the place as I walked by was enough to get me in. I'm not really sure what I like about their pizza so much as its not like most pizza I like. I mean, the pizza's always a little visually unimpressive, but the taste is nothing to complain about. Everyone I've taken to Pisa has liked it, too. The decor is very old-school. Lots of wood paneling, simple tables and dinner chairs. Nothing cheap, but nothing fancy. Perfect for a neighborhood pizza parlor, if you ask me. They've got an open kitchen behind the front counter and a jukebox in the back. Service is generally very good here, though some of the high school kids working the counter can be a bit lax compared to their exceptional adult counterparts. Value is best if you're getting full pies. Costs on dairy keep going up and Pisa has done their best to keep a good value, but its not as good as it used to be. Still, for the quality its well worth it and its well under the premium pizza parlors in Boston and every bit as good. I grew up right outside New Haven so I have high standards for pizza and Pisa does a more than respectable job living up to those standards. read more

The pizza was incredible!!!! I got the Pisa Supreme maybe? With all the works : sausage, meatball etc. I am really picky about pizza, and this was tres delicioso! The crust was PERFECT! Thick but not too hard, nice softness! The toppings and cheeses were perfectly baked and the pizza was NOT greasy at all. Delivery was here within 30 minutes and he even made it up to my door when I accidently did not hear the phone. I would give it 5 stars....but I HATED the spicy wings. Over breaded, tasted like really shitty quality chicken and no flavor. I actually spit it out it was so gross. I was going to call and complain, but I didn't want to develop a bad repor with them because I definately will be calling again and again.
