The dude and I stayed at this hotel on July 30th to August 1st in Pismo. We got a call 4 days before our stay with staff letting us know that the noteworthy Vintage Elevator was not working. We thought that was exceptional customer service especially since we were on the fourth floor. Staff informed us that someone can help us bring up the luggage as needed and we confirmed we would still be residing at the hotel. I usually do a little research before we stay at a new hotel and this place seriously has gotten really good reviews which is reassuring and plus it is literally in the heart of this beach town. The dude and I arrived at the hotel later than we anticipated as they close the lobby at 9pm and alternate staff will have to check us in. We arrived about 10pm, there was limited parking but luckily we found a spot and proceeded to check in. Staff member checked us in and let us know that the elevator was fixed so we didn't have to climb 4 flights of stairs with all our luggage. I LOVE THE ELEVATOR, very memorable for sure. We entered our room and I feel like it is probably the best view of all hotels in the building as we can see the main strip and partial of the ocean. The room was very surprisingly huge - the pictures does not do it any justice at all! It was very clean inside and spacious. I loved it and plus it was walking distance to everything. The next morning we walked and got breakfast and came back to the eat it on their outdoor patio. They use to have light refreshments but due to the new COVID spikes at the time they had to cease it and recommended some of the local favorites. Their grounds is absolutely beautiful, clean and perfect stay for the princess and the dude! The staff was very friendly and accommodating! They suddenly changed their check out time from 12pm to 11am and we addressed with them and they quickly made changes for current hotel guest and signage which was very impressive as management was quick to resolve any changes or incorrect Information! Lastly, We found our go to spot for visiting Pismo. It is nice to wake up early in the morning and be less than a 5 minute walk to paradise - the beach. I high recommend this hotel - affordable rates, walking distance to the beach, food, bars, and shops!

We stayed here on a whim, and a recommendation from a bar tender at Harry's. We weren't ready to end our vacation so we extended it by 1 more night, and luckily for us the Pismo Beach Hotel had an opening, and the price was quite reasonable for being a Friday night on a holiday weekend. They have a private parking lot behind the hotel with security which was great. We had a room on the 3rd floor, and one of my favorite features was the super old elevator, that has 2 doors that have to be closed in order for the elevator to work. I love old hotels. This hotel was super quiet, and we even slept with all the windows open. Located right in the middle of downtown, it's a great spot to lay your head. The bed was very comfortable with plenty of pillows. We weren't here for long, really just to sleep, but I loved the feeling of this hotel. The staff were all very kind, and accommodating to us at such a last minute, even giving us a parking pass when we had to leave our other hotel. We will for sure look at staying here in the future.

This historic hotel is right downtown Pismo Beach, right by all the best restaurants, steps from the pier and beach, with a nice grassy courtyard, private parking, and The Breezeway Cafe nextdoor for coffee and lunch/breakfast. They have rooms and apartment suites with full kitchens, and it's very affordable with the nicest staff!. Great place to stay.

This window sill is a fine example of the state of the building.

My parents stayed at the "ocean view deluxe suite" when they came to visit for the weekend. When my dad read on the door that their room goes for $490 at peak summer times, all 3 of us burst into a nice long laughter. First off, the noise from Harry's is no joke for people who like to sleep in peace. There is live music at the bar till 3 am and you can hear it very well from the room (along with your neighbor's conversation). Secondly, there is zero style or conceptual design. The furniture looks straight out of your grandma's garage sale. Paint needs to be touched up and carpets should be changed by now. The room seemed pretty clean but there was someone's leftover pasta in the fridge so not exactly attention to detail. The layout is very awkward. Enter into small room with couch and a tiny TV then walk through the bathroom to get to the bedroom. Overall, this place feels more like a motel than a hotel (from lack of service which is nonexistent after 9pm to the furniture and sad complimentary breakfast). Either pay a little more a go to a nice hotel on the water or save the money and stay at a motel. This is a no-go in our book. No Wi-fi!

I'll be the judge of that LOL

The Seacrest Ocean Front hotel is an absolute gem. From making the reservations over the phone to check in, the customer service was great. This hotel is very well kept and has free parking. However it does share with a restaurant at the entrance of the driveway so it can get full at times. Luckily, we were always able to find a place after coming back from a day of exploring. Beds were comfortable and the deck was perfect. We even had a seagull perched on the ledge on our last day. But let's talk about the view. It was absolutely STUNNING and worth every penny. This hotel does not have an on-site restaurant or bar, but you can get room service from the restaurant at the top of the parking lot. They also have a a bartender working outside of the lobby and she was so nice! Friendly and funny and just a great attitude. They offer $10 towards room service or drinks daily, which was nice and parking is free! The grounds are manicured beautifully and they have a pool and two hot tubs which were always in use. They also have several lawn games and direct access to the beach. I've never felt sand so soft under my toes. Next time we'll bring our beach chairs and make a full beach day of it. I absolutely loved this hotel and will definitely be coming back.

I was initially undecided between a few different options, but ultimately decided to stay at Beachcomber Inn. I made a reservation from Friday to Sunday. I had already received an email confirming that check-in would be at 4:00 PM on Friday. However, around 9:00 AM that same morning, I received a phone call informing me that no one had stayed in the room the night before, and that we were welcome to check in at any time without waiting until 4:00 PM. As we all know, most hotels charge extra fees for early check-in or late check-out, so receiving such a generous offer without even asking was truly surprising and very much appreciated. Unfortunately, due to work commitments, we were only able to arrive around 6:00 PM. When we got there, I learned that the person who had called me was the owner, Johnny. We had the chance to meet him in person--he is incredibly friendly, talkative, and genuinely welcoming. He personally showed us around our room, which made the experience even more special. The location of the hotel is outstanding. It's just about a block and a half away from the busy center of Pismo Beach, yet it is remarkably quiet. We had a very peaceful night's sleep, and the room temperature was perfect. Everything we needed was thoughtfully provided--there was a coffee machine with plenty of coffee pods, and the bathroom was fully stocked with essentials like shampoo and shower products. The room itself was spotless and in excellent condition. Additionally, the nearby beaches are only about a 10-minute drive away. We even went to the sand dunes and rode ATVs, which was an incredibly fun experience. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Pismo Beach. Check-out on Sunday was scheduled for 12:00 PM, but once again, Johnny reached out to let us know that no one was checking in after us. He kindly offered that we could check out anytime up until 6:00 PM if we wished. Just like the early check-in, this thoughtful gesture--offered without us even asking--was both surprising and deeply appreciated. He could have easily charged for this, but it was clear from the moment we met him that his priority is simply to provide excellent service and ensure his guests feel comfortable and happy during their stay. We would absolutely recommend staying at Beachcomber Inn when visiting Pismo Beach, and if you have the chance, meeting Johnny in person is truly a pleasure. From now on, we know that every time we visit Pismo Beach, we will choose to stay at this hotel without hesitation. Through this review, we would like to thank him once again and hope to see him again very soon.

Because of the construction the checkin desk is just inside the door adjacent to the tiny elevator. I was standing at the check-in desk and it is so close to the automatic doors that they just stayed open and it was cold outside. The luggage carts need to be updated. This sound trivial but they are so small, old/worn and don't have hook at the top to hang anything which would have helped given how small they are. Once we checked in I asked about a luggage cart as there were none to be found and the check-in clerk was kind enough to radio the cleaning staff to see if anyone left a cart in a hallway or in their room when they checked-out (I was told it happens). Shortly thereafter a member of staff came running by me in the lobby and took the elevator upstairs. Little did I know it was to get me a luggage cart that was found my cleaning staff. I was grateful for the effort and made my way to the room. I paid for a Deluxe Pier & Ocean View. I would suggest you get an Ocean View and skip the Pier View. Our room was the farthest most away from the ocean front of the hotel and so I had a good view of the neighboring hotel and could hear the children playing in the pool...not very relaxing and was louder than the ocean waves. The other complaint was that on the 2nd floor, where my room was located, my door was immediately next to the breezeway or walkway that is completely open to the breakfast area below so each morning I heard people in the breakfast area. I saw a door that could be shut to separte the walkway from the guestrooms but it was open for my entire visit. The elevators are extremely small and only 1 luggage cart and 2 people would fit. It is very old, slow and needs to be replaced. While I didn't use it the pool is heated and kept very clean. They offer electric bikes for rent with the first hour free. For the cost of this hotel I would have expected updated rooms or a lower price. I am looking forward to when the construction is complete as I would like to check out the new rooms.
