Stayed at the Shore Cliff Hotel for the weekend and unfortunately, the hotel construction is still in progress and is now estimated to be completed in May of this year. Because of the construction the checkin desk is just inside the door adjacent to the tiny elevator. I was standing at the check-in desk and it is so close to the automatic doors that they just stayed open and it was cold outside. The luggage carts need to be updated. This sound trivial but they are so small, old/worn and don't have hook at the top to hang anything which would have helped given how small they are. Once we checked in I asked about a luggage cart as there were none to be found and the check-in clerk was kind enough to radio the cleaning staff to see if anyone left a cart in a hallway or in their room when they checked-out (I was told it happens). Shortly thereafter a member of staff came running by me in the lobby and took the elevator upstairs. Little did I know it was to get me a luggage cart that was found my cleaning staff. I was grateful for the effort and made my way to the room. I paid for a Deluxe Pier & Ocean View. I would suggest you get an Ocean View and skip the Pier View. Our room was the farthest most away from the ocean front of the hotel and so I had a good view of the neighboring hotel and could hear the children playing in the pool...not very relaxing and was louder than the ocean waves. The other complaint was that on the 2nd floor, where my room was located, my door was immediately next to the breezeway or walkway that is completely open to the breakfast area below so each morning I heard people in the breakfast area. I saw a door that could be shut to separte the walkway from the guestrooms but it was open for my entire visit. The elevators are extremely small and only 1 luggage cart and 2 people would fit. It is very old, slow and needs to be replaced. While I didn't use it the pool is heated and kept very clean. They offer electric bikes for rent with the first hour free. For the cost of this hotel I would have expected updated rooms or a lower price. I am looking forward to when the construction is complete as I would like to check out the new rooms. read more

We stayed for one night in August. I had my service dog with me but the woman at the front desk made it sound like she was doing me a favor by not charging me for the dog in the room. I also asked for a room without a shower over a tub so that I could access it more easily. They did accommodate that request with a room that had a shower that you could roll into with a wheelchair although I don't use the wheelchair. However, the room was right next to the breakfast room and the elevator and the stairs at access the breakfast room from the outside. So the view was looking through a number of railings through the pool area and then to the ocean. I was not informed that I was getting a partial view or that I was getting a full pool view. I've never stayed here before so I didn't know the layout of the hotel so when she told me where my room was, I had no idea it was located where it was. Surely after checking in, I called because the air-conditioning was not working and it was warm and the room smelled unpleasant. I was assure that someone would be on their way. I also responded to the text message that I got saying that I needed assistance with the air conditioner and still I heard nothing for two hours. I finally called the front desk where the Line had been busy pretty incessantly, and reminded them that now it was nighttime and I didn't need the air conditioner, but it would be nice to be able to use the heater. They sent a maintenance person who spent I don't know 10 minutes trying to figure it out and then he left to go to the shop to get a remote or something that would make it work finally. They cut the brim. Temperature was still not very comfortable as it is one of those cheap or not so cheap but also not so efficient wall, air conditioner, and heater. We were next to the elevator, which was very loud. I could literally hear when people push the buttons, the beep from the buttons in the elevator. The issue was that it woke up my service dog like a number of times during the night and she really needs to get a good nights sleep, but she didn't get. Nor did I I guess because she woke me up every time she heard the footsteps upstairs the running the noise in the parking lot, the elevator doors opening and closing. I read previous reviews about the bird feces and I agree that when I walked out even this morning and I was looking around my parking spot I thought to myself how long has it been since they power washed this pavement and all the other surfaces that have bird poop on them. Because of the location of the room and the access to public view, I could not leave the blinds or the curtains. I mean open to enjoy what Little view there was. Stop it so overall between the location of the room, the lack of privacy, the sound that came through the walls and the ceiling, the bird poop everywhere, and the Not so welcome welcome at the front desk. When I checked in I would say I would not come back to this hotel. Oh, and I forgot to mention the bed was incredibly uncomfortable. I literally ended up, lodged between the nightstand and the bed because it slopes off at the edge of the bed. Like I said overall, it wasn't a great experience and I won't be back. read more

I have stayed at this hotel approximately 10 times over the years, and unfortunately, my last two visits have been extremely disappointing. My most recent stay was by far the worst experience I've had here. During our stay, we had to move three times and stayed in three different rooms due to ongoing maintenance issues. Each room presented significant problems. We experienced non-functioning air conditioning, leaving the rooms uncomfortably warm. Other rooms had televisions that did not work, refrigerators that were out of service, and even extension cords running throughout the room just to power basic amenities. It was clear that many of the remodeled rooms were not fully ready for guests. What was even more concerning was that several staff members openly acknowledged these issues, expressing frustration that many of the newly remodeled rooms still had major problems and were being rented despite not being fully operational. While the front-line employees did their best to assist, they were placed in a very difficult position. When we asked to speak with the manager, Barbara, regarding our concerns, we were repeatedly told she would follow up. Unfortunately, she never did. Being ignored after experiencing so many issues made the situation even more frustrating and showed a lack of concern for guest satisfaction. The problems didn't stop there. While using the pool, there were no towels available, and we had to wait nearly an hour for clean towels because the hotel's dryer wasn't working. This was yet another example of poor planning and ongoing maintenance problems affecting the guest experience. It's disappointing because this hotel was once one of my preferred places to stay. After being a repeat guest for many visits, I expected much better. Instead, the last two stays have been filled with inconvenience, constant room changes, broken amenities, and poor management communication. I sincerely hope the hotel addresses these maintenance issues, ensures rooms are fully functional before assigning them to guests, and improves management's responsiveness. Until then, I cannot recommend staying here based on my recent experiences. read more

Truly angry about this experience. I spent a Friday and Saturday night here in late July and I will never be back. I had previously stayed here in 2022 and had a lovely time, but the supposed 50 million dollar renovation has somehow only made this place worse. 1) Absolutely nauseating bird feces problem. I am not exaggerating when I say the entire property - parking lot, walls of exteriors, walkways, pool and seating areas - are covered in seagull feces. It reeks and is genuinely unhealthy. I brought my dog and found I had to carry him around the property so he wouldn't be covered in it. Someone's gotta do something ... it was unreal. 2) Paper-thin walls in rooms. You would think a renovation would include some kind of better soundproofing, but no. I could quite literally hear the folks in the hallway/rooms next to mine sniffle. 3) Cheap wall A/C that turns on and off throughout the night. Incredibly noisy with no option to keep fan blowing. Woke me up constantly. 4) Insulting, exorbitant fees. I am ashamed to say I ended up spending $1200 for my stay, with hidden fees. I even booked directly through the hotel and additional fees that no one seemed to be able to explain to me showed up on my final bill. 5) Low quality or non-existent amenities. They advertise complimentary wine in the lobby, but of course the dispenser was out of order when I was there. The breakfast was crowded and horrifically messy, and the dining room is not big enough for the amount of families and guests that are at the hotel. Waiting in a spiraled makeshift line just to hope to put a reheated sausage patty on a paper plate is a no for me. I don't normally leave bad reviews, but this was egregious. It's sad because most everyone who worked there was very kind, so I think this is a higher level management issue. If you're going to charge resort prices, you need to be running the property like an actual resort. Not a (literally) shitty motel with surface level room decor upgrades. Stay away. read more

Note, yes there is construction going until May 26, but other than the reception being moved our stay was not inconvenienced in any way. Great location, wonderful breakfast selection, spacious rooms, very quiet wall mounted aircon/heater. Clean rooms. Most of the rooms either face the cliff and ocean or are at an angle so you can see the ocean from your window and balcony. Great location for cliff walk and stairs down to the beach. Only one area for improvement, add timers for the gas firepits, as they use tanked propane and when we came to the 3 fire pits at night to use them, folks just left them on high and walked off.. so all fire pits were empty. Front desk said they would send maintenance to refill them, but at that point we just went back to the room. Short walk to some great restaurants. read more

Parking Nightmare and Unacceptable Bird Feces Problem I've stayed at Shore Cliff Hotel many times over the years, and I'm sad to say the property has progressively gotten worse. This stay was enough to convince me we won't be back. Self parking was a major issue. The spaces are too small for the size of vehicles most guests drive, making it a hassle every single day just to park without door dings or scraped bumpers. The bigger problem was the complete lack of bird control. Bird feces covered nearly every outdoor surface, railings, walkways, patio furniture, all of it. The smell was so bad it lingered across the property and made it impossible to enjoy the outdoor spaces we specifically paid extra for with an ocean view room. What's the point of paying a premium for a view you can't sit outside and enjoy? To add insult to injury, the resort fee felt like a joke. The fire pits were out of order, and something as basic as coffee wasn't included. If you're going to charge a "resort fee," the property needs to actually function like a resort. Charging extra for the bare minimum, while ignoring maintenance issues like this, is not acceptable. Given how many other hotel options exist nearby in Pismo Beach, we will not be booking here again. It's disappointing to watch a place we once loved decline like this. read more

I was very disappointed with my stay. The hotel itself was decent, but the way they handle their fees feels extremely misleading. When I booked the room, there was no clear emphasis that I'd be charged a nightly resort fee and a separate nightly parking fee. It wasn't until checkout that these extra charges were added to my bill, significantly increasing the total cost of my stay. It honestly felt like they count on guests finding out at the end, when it's too late to do anything about it. Hotels should be upfront and transparent about all mandatory fees before guests book, not surprise them at checkout. If I had known the true nightly cost, I would have chosen a different hotel. I wouldn't stay here again based on the lack of transparency. Hidden fees leave a bad impression, regardless of how nice the property is. read more

We paid a pretty penny to stay here and on the second night the AC went out. They sent maintenance to come and "fix" the problem. All that was done was the breaker was reset. Afterward, the AC was still not working and were given room fans immediately as if they knew the AC was still not going to work. Could not get comfortable in the hot room, we also had a 7 month old. It was difficult to console our baby in the room without AC. No compensation or offer for another room was given to us. I probably would have given a little more grace if we did not have our baby with us and they made a better attempt to accommodate, given the price we paid. read more

Despite it being in the middle of a renovation, I would give this place 10 stars if I could!!! Johnny was managing our front desk & he was absolutely wonderful!!! Joked with us, very friendly, & he handled any situation that arose!!! U guys r lucky 2 have such a wonderful front desk person!!! Our room was a double queen size room. Bathroom was spacious, the only thing I wish we had was a shower instead of a shower/tub. No carpet which I love. My bed was a little 2 soft 4 my liking, but I still slept well. Love, love, love that we had a balcony & the view-WOW!!!! We got a view of the pool & the ocean!!! Every morning, I made a cup of coffee, slipped on my flip flops, pulled on my zipped up hoody & sat on the balcony doing my Yelp reviews. Sooo peaceful & relaxing!!! The have a breakfast area, which we didn't have, but boy did it smell good!!! There's a nice walk way along the cliff & there's a gazebo 2 take pics from!!! Pool area was great & I enjoyed the jacuzzi!!! We also enjoyed watching the seagulls dropping clams 2 break them open so they could eat them!!! Our room was an Oceanfront King at the former Shore Cliff. The view is unmatched. The new renovations are very thoughtful and well done. There are plenty of places to store your bags, which is a problem at almost every other hotel we've stayed in. There are plenty of outlets for phones, etc. The bed was comfortable; the chairs not so much but that's not a big deal. The only downside is the lack of privacy from the balcony. With this view, there's no way we want to close the curtains ever, but there is a large viewing area just below where people gather and they can see right into the room. That's the only thing I would change, but there's only 2 stories, so not much you can do about that. We stayed on a Saturday and didn't encounter any construction noise or inconvenience. I don't know if that's because it's the weekend and it's worse during the week? I will definitely stay here again. read more

I'm actually staying at the hotel now. No one answers the guest services when you call. I have been trying to reach someone for 20 minutes. They are doing construction on the floor above us and to make it worse we have a 5 month old baby who is trying to sleep. With each loud noise from above baby jumps. To make the situation worse I called the actual number for the hotel, after going through automated messages she told me there is nothing she can do to help. She told me to go to front desk. No regards for the baby, no apology, not a single step to help a guest staying in the hotel. Absolutely zero customer service. I Ended having to go to the front desk just to find out someone else has been there waiting for a staff to show up for 15 minutes. I'm not sure how they have gotten a 4 star rating. Signage - hard to find, especially if arriving in the dark since the sign hasn't been updated to the new name. There are like two separate properties, one that used to be called Pismo Lighthouse Suites and one that used to be called Shore Cliff Hotel, but both are now under the name Pacific Point Resort (though you wouldn't know if from the nonexistent sign). We accidentally pulled into what used to be called Pismo Lighthouse Suites and walked into what looked like a gift shop. There was a woman at a very small desk and it was unclear whether this was the check-in desk. Apparently, it was. She was able to check us in even though we were at the wrong side of the property. She wasn't all that friendly but got the job done. There's a lot of construction going on at both properties but the Shore Cliff Hotel side, where we were directed to, there was very little parking available due to the construction. Layer, as we were getting ready for bed we realized our room only had two towels even though we reserved it for four people. And of course that late at night it was hard to reach anyone at the front desk. Also, the AC in the room is LOUD, sounds like a printer. And why does it smell so bad outside? Is it always like this? Or maybe it's just the weather this time of the year? FYI, It's late July and the weather is very mild for summer. It's been a long time since I've last been to Pismo but for the unpleasant smell and the overpriced hotel, I don't have any plans to come back any time soon. read more

We didn't stay here overnight, but we got a day pass for the pool and it turned out to be a really nice experience. The pool was clean, well-maintained, and not overly crowded, which made it easy to relax and actually enjoy the space. It's heated too, so it was perfect for spending the day in the water without feeling cold. The only downside is there's no restaurant or snack bar on-site. They only have vending machines, so we ended up leaving to grab food and then coming back, which was a little inconvenient. Other than that, it was a great way to spend the day. I'd definitely come back--just plan ahead and bring your own snacks. read more

The birds and feces are disgusting. I can not emphasize this. There is feces everywhere and I mean EVERYWHERE. In the breakfast dining hall, outside your hotel room, on the plants, pool chairs, walkways and rental cars. We couldn't open our patio door due to the smell. Imagine ocean view and you can't look at it because of the bird feces smell. The birds used the pool as their bird bath every morning. The parking is as bad as the birds. Every night we had to park in the neighboring restaurant empty parking lot. There were no lights. My daughters AC unit didn't work and the maintenance dept. said they would come and fix it it. They said it was fine and ignored her request for the first night. I would NOT stay here. read more

Stayed here over the weekend and had a really good experience. The rooms are decent -- nothing super fancy -- but the real highlight is the view, absolutely amazing! My wife and son loved it, and it made the stay really enjoyable for all of us. The hotel offers free breakfast, which was a nice bonus to start the day, and they have a pool that we got to enjoy as well. Another plus is the location -- the pier is only about 5 minutes away, which made it super convenient to head out and explore. Also, you can walk to the bridge for nice photo ops. Finally, walk a few blocks will lead you down the stairs toward the beach. If you go to this hotel, don't be cheap and splurge and get the ocean front rooms. They are amazing and are the best view in Pismo Beach. You are on the highest bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean with an amazing 180° view of the coast. You can see as far south as the dues on the beach where they're riding their dirt bikes and dune buggies and looking far to the right North towards Morro Bay. Every morning they have a full service complimentary American breakfast buffet which is nice. The pool and jacuzzi are heated. And there's this amazing walking path that takes you North and South along the bluffs and you can get down to the beach if you want to go down 92 stairs. Good luck! read more

One of my most memorable stays in Pismo since I graduated Cal Poly SLO in '09... Shore Cliff has a tranquil location not too far away from downtown Pismo and the pier. Always refreshing to be able to enjoy to views, slo culture and let the waves of the central coast lull you to sleep. read more

Room 232. *This hotel does not have an elevator, only stairs so if you need accommodations, be sure to have your room on the first floor.* We had asked at check in if we could get a room on the second floor (third if we stayed in other wings of the hotel) and away from the stairs (based on past experiences in other hotels) but they were only able to accommodate one portion of the request, which was fine since we were only staying for one night. Our room on the second floor right off the stairs so there was a lot of foot traffic from people coming and going. We were able to feel the vibrations of peoples footsteps, so the foundation could have used some work back in the day when it was built. Because of the foot traffic and thin walls, I was woken up around 7:30am by a running child going up and down the hallway. The room was Oceanfront that had views of the gazebo and the fire pits below and overall the view was great. Room was decently sized and clean. Fridge, microwave and coffee maker were great bonuses. T.V was good quality as well. Room had an A/C window unit that was ok but a bit on the loud side. Staff was friendly and answered any questions we had. Walls are on the thinner side so we could hear the plumbing from our neighbor. We came during a promotional time where parking was free but they do have a $15 self parking fee. Overall this hotel is labeled as a hotel/resort but I'd say it's closer to a "nicer" motel. I've stayed at The Cliffs several times in the past and that is a hotel/resort. Unfortunately I don't plan on staying here again. read more

I reserved a room 6 weeks before Valentines Day for a special weekend with my girlfriend. The room was $400. When we arrived it was literally a construction site with chain link fences, construction crew and equipment running on Saturday at 4pm check-in, most of the hotel was closed. It looked like the scene out of a Stephen King horror movie, aka the Shining. I asked to see the room before accepting check-in. The elevator to the room was disgusting. I would prefer a clean Motel 6 room to what I saw. The room smelled like bleach working hard to remove the disgust. This is a fraudulent business- stay away and save yourself $400. Loved staying here!! Super nice rooms and absolutely stunning view! Came here for a wedding and everything about that was incredible as well! Right on the water so you can easily walk down to the beach and close enough to downtown to walk as well. The staff were excellent too (super friendly and let us check in early so we could drop our stuff off before the rehearsal). Even went to the yoga which was super fun and relaxing. The room was large with a king size bed, table with 2 chairs and an over stuffed double chair. The view was breath taking. The sound of the waves were very soothing. The balcony had two chairs and a table. The pool and jacuzzi was icing on the cake. The music was a nice touch. The pool area was clean & comfortable. The breakfast was really good. The area was well stocked and clean. I would definitely be back and I would recommend this property to family, friends, etc. read more

I wanted to only give 1 star but because of the location of the property I had to give another star. I spent a lot of money for 2 x 2 bedroom oceanfront suites which I prepaid because I didn't want to deal with the ladies at the front desk, and even that, I had to call 3 times prior to our arrival and begged them to charged me for my rooms and they didn't actually do it until the 3rd call (week of our arrival), I've been calling at least a month in advance. We arrived at the property and checked us in early for one room and the other room was ready about an hour later. I gave 2 different credit cards for each room for the security deposit, we have pets and I specifically told them before arriving that the dogs will be in one room. What did they do? Charge me for both rooms! Why? Not sure! It felt almost like they were hoping that I wouldn't see the charges and I would let it go. At check out I believe I spoke to a Danielle, I looked her in the eye and I specifically told her room 112 has the pet fee and room 114 no fee because dogs were not in there, she smiled with a blank look on her face and said, "ok" and printed out my invoice. I look at my invoice and the charge of $100 was still on it, when I called 2 days after check out I was told by Sonya, lady with cigarette voice, the funds have been released and if you didn't receive it to call your bank with a very condescending tone by the way. I waited another week, still no $100 deposit back, so I called again, this time another lady "helped" me and figured out that they had the pet fees charged to both rooms!!!! WHY??! She said she'll issue refund and I should receive an email. I waited another couple days, no refund and no email. So I called back again, asking about my deposit and for every time I called I was given an explanation of the same exact thing, oh we charged you the pet fee to both rooms! I was so frustrated, Sonya hung up on me mid sentence and I don't believe anyone in their staff knows how to handle disgruntled customers especially when the staff is incompetent. I love this property but seeing the other awful reviews on here, we may not come back again, we were looking forward to the new renovations and had plans to come for the summer but if this is how they treat customers and their money, I would consider going to the competition instead. My husband and I stayed at Shore Cliff for our wedding anniversary and had a great experience. The two ladies that checked us in were very kind and welcoming. When they heard it was our anniversary, they gifted us a bottle of wine. We were in a full ocean view room and the view was absolutely gorgeous. There isn't much better than falling asleep to ocean waves each night. The only thing that can use improvement is the breakfast. The first two days we stayed, about 70% of the breakfast items were empty, leaving us without much to eat. It seems a different lady was in charge of the kitchen the second two days of our stay and she was very on top of it and didnt let anything go empty. There are 2 firepits which are perfect for relaxing and watching the sunset. They have beach blankets, umbrellas, beach chairs and kites to borrow. Beach access is about a 5-10 minute walk from the hotel. The pier is about a 30 minute walk. If you're ok with being a bit further from all the action, Shore Cliff is the perfect stay for a romantic getaway! read more

The room was nice but the hallways need to be updated. The lady's in the office are very rude and made it seem like we were bothering them as we checked in. Let's not talk about the security guard harassing us about if we were smoking! Keep in mind there was other tenants outside smoking and I was just having a drink outside our balcony, he kept flashing his flashlight at our faces after we told him it wasn't us who was smoking. Then he left and 30 minutes later he did the same thing and after telling him to stop flashing our faces with the flashlight because my husband gets seizures he didn't care and kept turning the flashlight on and off at our faces. I will NEVER spend a night at this place. The only staff that was nice and attentive was the ladies at the dinner when it was breakfast time. read more

Everything was amazing from the second we walked in the door to the sad moment we had to check out because we didn't want to leave. We came there to celebrate a couple very special occasions for three nights. We had the king full ocean view room. At check in we were welcomed by Samantha who is so sweet and kind. She congratulated us in the sweetest way. Our room - incredible. Heaven on earth. Beautiful set up on the bed with swans made of towels- incredible, and roses everywhere. With a sweet welcome note. The room had everything you could dream of. We woke up to the sound of the ocean and went to bed to the sound of the waves crashing. The view was beyond incredible. Everything was so clean - and every detail was so thoughtful and sweet. The staff at the Shore Cliff not only made our stay heavenly - heaven on earth, but made our entire trip amazing. I can't imagine staying anywhere else when we come back- and we'll be back! Everything is so new, modern, clean, beautiful. I was in complete awe and pure bliss. I've stayed at some nice hotels in my life... but I can't compare any to the Shore Cliff - from the room to the staff , I cannot even find the words to describe how absolutely amazing every tiny detail was. The entire property is LOVELY! Everyone makes you feel at ease. There was not one thing - nothing that bothered us, or that wasn't short of amazing. 1000/10. Highly recommend. Thank you so much to everyone at Shore Cliff. You truly touched our hearts, and we cannot wait to come back. This is the only place I will recommend to anyone. Thank you so so much to you all for our paradise in pismo beach. We are still floating in the clouds. By the way- I'd like to reiterate that the room was AMAZING. Everything was incredible. Absolutely love this property. My family and I arrived for check in on Saturday night around 7:30pm. After a long drive I was greeted by a friendly staff member. And went thru a smooth check in process. I was given complimentary cookies and a 10% discount for the restaurant next door, Ventana Grill, which by the way has good food. I had booked an oceanfront double queen room. Our room was clean and beds were comfortable. Can't forget about that amazing balcony with the best view of the ocean. Since they were doing renovations to their breakfast area we were able to grab a quick cold breakfast fruit and yogurt and you can help yourself to coffee and they had a hot chocolate area with mini marshmallows and candy canes in the lobby and also give the option to also go next door to their sister hotel and grab a full hot breakfast with eggs, salsa and cheese to add to eggs, oatmeal and brown sugar to top your oatmeal, waffles, strawberry topping and whip cream and syrup for waffles, sausage, coffee, tea, cereal and milk which was great. Also can't forget about their pool area. Although we stayed in December, weather was cold, but their heated pool and hot tub was just perfect on a cold night. The pool and spa were very clean and well maintained, which I appreciated. You will need to pay for parking, but the parking fee is approximately $15 per night which in and out privileges and plenty spacious spots. Not too bad. Can't say enough nice things about this property. I would stay here again if staying in the area. read more

Loved my stay here at Pismo Beach. I've been to the majority of the hotels here at Pismo and this is definitely one of my top 5! The lobby was very spacious, offering complementary cookies from SLO pastry. Our room was also very clean, and we were able to see the ocean directly when we open the blinds. It was such a beautiful and calming view. There were also chairs in the patio so we can enjoy the view conveniently from our room. There's a nice flower path that you can walk nearby which leads you to a gazebo. Perfect place to see the ocean views along with pelicans and seagulls. If you keep walking west, you can pass through multiple other hotels along Pismo beach and have direct access to the ocean. The only cons I have about the hotel is the charging station and AC placement in the room. We asked the front desk how much the charging is and they told us it was 15 cents/hour. However, when we started charging our car, we found out it was actually 45 cents/hour. We were a bit disappointed about the misinformation. In the future, it would be appreciative that the front desk has accurate charging pricing so the customer won't be alarmed with their bill. Also, concerning the AC, I've never seen a hotel that places an AC directly next to where guests sleep, specifically their heads. While my parents were sleeping, we didn't turn on the AC because of concerns with the cold air directly blowing on their heads. It's just not a good place to put it honestly. I'm unsure that's something the management can change instantly due to the design. Anyhow despite those cons, I still really liked my stay here as it was quiet and restful. read more

Nice motel style hotel. I love that my car was right outside. Literally a sidewalk from My car to the front door. Luggage unloading was a breeze. We were on the 1st floor. 2nd might have a slightly better view but I would prefer the 1st. We were in 134. Kinda standard small room. Double queen beds with clean and ok linens. The bathroom had a fan and the shower water pressure was just medium at best. The back patio had access to the walk way on the cliff. This was very nice. And there is free breakfast that we will have to try in the morning. Pismo is a great beach town to relax in. We find that the weather is usually on the cool side with a lot of air flow. Nice restaurant next door that We have not been to but we would like to try it especially if we stay here again. Laundry facilities not on property but they have access to the sister hotel next door. read more

I was wowed by the setting and scenery, which brought to mind the Amalfi coast. The clifftop pool and clifftop public walking path were amazing, and the beach below was dramatic and impressive. Room decor was stylish, and the bottle of wine amenity was very thoughtful and surprising. I've lived in Calif and no one goes to Pismo Beach, so Shore Cliff was a major surprise to me. I never saw the town, because I didn't want to leave the hotel and its environs. It is truly special. read more

This hotel really surprised me for my birthday. There was a birthday elephant in my room when I checked in. Also, my balcony room facing the ocean and the gazebo. The sunsets were amazing. Also, you could request a mimosa bucket to be delivered to your room on your birthday morning for an additional fee, so I did. The complimentary breakfast had a variety every morning. I truly enjoyed my stay here. By the way, it is 15 minutes away from Amtrak. read more

The front desk ladies are great! The breakfast is delicious! Our room looking at the pier is amazing. Everything is clean and when texting their help host (ivy) you get what you need in a timely manner. Free hot chocolate in the lobby and a great buffet breakfast served in the morning. It's a quick walk to downtown Pismo. It's nice to be out of the craziness. Great hotel to stay at. read more
