I placed an order to go through Doordarsh the other night and it was AMAZING. This is my third time ordering food to go and I must say I am beyond impressed. Every time I place it an order it can be quite tedious and annoying. I was ordering for no less than 5 people each time and different modifications can be excessive. However, every single time it's perfect. There's not an item that is missed or left out. I'm not sure if this has always been the standard but things are separated nice and neat. The attention to detail was quite astonishing. They really go above and beyond with how everything is packaged. Last night was great. The staff is super friendly and kind. I really appreciate them. When I pick up my order it's always ready before the pick up time. I really appreciate the customer service. Also the food is amazing. Everything is so full of flavor. I always get The Open as a salad and get all the fixings on it. It's so good my fiancé makes me get the same exact order for him. Last night it was so much he couldn't even finish it. Yum. While at the outlets as part of a student field trip, I suggested we get lunch in the food court for the various options available. While most of my students went with the Chinese option, I decided to try the Mediterranean fare. I was please with the offers and decided on a Tour Platter. This included 3 dolmas, hummus, tabuleh, 3 falafel, baba ganoush and a pita. It came with tahini sauce, and I ordered tzatziki sauce as an addition (75c.) Aside from the dolmas being slightly soggy, I was pleased with my choice. All of the flavors were very good, and I felt like I was going with a rather healthy choice in comparison to some of the other choices. For the price, I thought that the portion size was reasonable. Service was neutral on 3/6/24. I ordered two wraps and the servers seemed to be a bit in a rush not allowing me to make my choices. Actually it was going well until the other server step in to help which made the guy rush as well. In which I had to get a side of banana peppers and I wanted feta cheese on both and olives on the second like the first wrap. Be very careful that you finish your selection on the first wrap do not let that second person interfere because you will not get your selection. Whether you're looking for an open dinner or gyro, Pita Gourmet has some delicious stuff! You can tell everything is high quality. Not to be confused with "Pizza Gorge: May", which is the May 2014 version of the monthly event by which all Buffalonians gorge on nothing but pizza for an entire week. I wasn't really impressed by Pita Gourmet, to be honest. There are two locations... one is on Transit Rd with horrible customer service, and one is here in the Outlet Mall and has pretty good customer service but slightly different products. (1) Their Chicken Souvlaki was actually pretty good, but it wasn't amazing. It was excellently priced though. If I ever went back here, I would try it again. It was tasty and had a nice char-broiled and seasoned taste. It was far from the best one in the area though. (2) Their Gyro is fake. They use the frozen pre-formed strips of meat and then they just grill them up. Tsk tsk. (3) They said that the reason the Gyro is fake is because WNY is not allowed to sell real Gyros... but Sophie's Pita just down the road has them, so I am not sure if that's true at all. Overall I'd say, give their Souvlaki a try if you happen to be in this mall, because it's pretty good and worth a try and very very cheap. But I wouldn't go out of my way for it. read more

Lunch at the Niagara falls location yesterday. the people taking the orders looked thoroughly unhappy, but the guys who prepared the food were very fries and polite. I've been eating at Pita for years, it's one of my favorite places to go and grab a quick bite to eat. The food has always been great, the customer service has gone down hill. Employees are rude and seem like they don't want to be bothered. The staff also seems to be making their own rules. The mall opens at 10am and online it says Pita opens at 10am. Pita Gourmet is really good. I had a gyro with fries. I think for the price the meal should have been a combo. My wife had a falafel, she didn't order fries but found her way to mine. The food here is good and I wouldn't mind trying again, however the concept and offerings are a little confusing. Originally, I was thinking that I could have ordered a roasted warm veggie pita when I saw the grill, but I was informed by the impatient cashiers that this really works more like a subway with cold served veggies served on a pita. I went here yesterday and purchased their hummus pita. The food was good and healthy, albeit pricey. There was a bit of seepage from the pita itself but I dipped the bread in the sauce and it was fine. They also have some Greek fries (feta cheese and Greek dressing) which I want to try out. My girlfriend also enjoyed her cheeseburger. Great for vegetarians and vegans as well as those who enjoy meat. Be sure to expect to wait since the place seems popular. So I bought some food here. Food is GREAT. BUT, I was very upset that at 9:03p, 3 minutes after they officially closed, I ran up to ask for a little tahini sauce. The person there stated "sorry, we are closed." I stated, "seriously? It's like that?" He stated, "yeah...". The sauces was right in front of him. Wow. I'm not sure what to say... 3 seconds for repeat loyal customers to get me 3 cents of tahini sauce? I go to the Niagara Falls Outlet Mall just for the lunch at Pita Gourmet. They have a vertical broiler constantly cooking the beef/lamb/spice log that is Gyro meat. The grilled chicken is also very good, cooked throughout the day on a real grill right in front of you. The "fix-ins" are always fresh and delicious. I recommend the gyro, souvlaki supreme wrap (chicken or beef), pita chips, and homemade baklava. Probably the best baklava i've ever had. Pita Gourmet is definitely worth the trip to the Falls, and you can stop in to Saks Off 5th, Burberry, Coach, or whatever other outlet suits your taste for some great deals! read more

When I worked at the Outlet Mall in my college days, I usually ate lunch here every single day and never got sick of it. For four whole years these people kept me captivated. Despite moving to Buffalo, I keep the same amazing eye doctor on Third street. I decided to do a little bit of browsing at the mall after my eye appointment, and stopped by for lunch to see if Pita Gourmet still had "it." Oh...they do. Giant portions, fast service, relatively healthy options, and the best marinated chicken ever. I can't pick between the tzatziki or dill sauce because they're both so tasty on everything. My favorite part at the end of a pita is the mush of Greek dressing, tzatziki, and feta just dripping with fatty deliciousness. You'll need a lot of napkins. Salads are amazing too. Even in the busiest of times, they'll blast through a line like nothing. I miss this place. Wish I lived closer. read more

What should you eat when your starving and standing in the middle of the mall food court? Of course there's the usual choices of pizza and tacos and burgers and subs. But all of that stuff really isn't all that healthy... and none of it tastes all that good either. "Pita Gourmet" is the perfect anecdote for blah, yet greasy mall food. This stuff is TASTY, FRESH, and HEALTHY. It's fast food that actually tastes like food! My lunch today consisted of a vegetarian platter with a side Greek salad. The platter had hummus, falafel (vegetable patties prepared from chick peas, fava beans and spices) baba ganoush (mashed eggplant and sesame paste with garlic and lemon), tabouleh (parsley, tomato, bulgar wheat and mint leaves blended with lemon and oil), and grape leaves (stuffed with rice, oil, lemon and spices). It was served with a lightly toasted pita and some flavorful tahini sauce. My only complaint is that the olives on my salad were the sliced black kind...right out of a can....not the super yummy Greek kalamata olives that I love. Was this meal as cheap as a "value meal" at most mall eateries? No, but I think it's much better to pay a bit more and actually eat FOOD for lunch. read more

The only thing keeping this review from 5 stars was that the price was a little steep (almost 12.00) for a chicken souvlaki pita, a medium drink, and a side of pasta salad. I go to the outlet mall about once a year. Not a big shopper so I try to get all or most of it done here if I can. I always, always go to Pita Gourmet because it's cheap and delicious. Their gyros are great, The Open special is great, everything is at least somewhat customizable in terms of veggies, dressings, etc. and the staff is always very nice. So simple and delicious. Usually not super quick though, but that's because the lines are always long - which should tell you all you need to know about the quality. read more

I love Pita Gourmet SO much! Seriously, some of the best tasting Greek food I've had. I was (am) shocked it's a food court stop in the mall. The chicken is marinaded to perfection. I usually go for the chicken pita pocket with everything... Lettuce, taziki, tomato, onion, feta, dressing, black olive. It's perfection, messy perfection. Also have had the gyro- equally delicious, but I'm looking to clean up my act as of recently. The service is super fast and I'm always greeted with smiles and efficiency. Visited this location on October 7th, 2015. They had just opened for daily business and had helped 2 customers before I walked up to place my order. I chose the "Dinner" gyro platter. The food was prepared fresh on front of me (I think it was the manager of the location). The gyro meat was flavorful, the rice hot and tasty and the salad fresh. It was a ton of food for the money and I would gladly pay it again next time I am in the area. Keep up the good work, Pita Gourmet! Terrible customer service today. I am a regular local customer and order the same item every visit. Today I place my order of rice and vegetables. When I get to the prep person they give me rice and feta cheese. When I tell them I want vegetables they scold me by telling me that I didn't order that. I said yes I did and they proceeded to argue with me I insisting I ordered only rice and feta cheese. I got to my table and noticed there was no Greek dressing and I had to go up and ask for it. A different employee preceded to tell me it was my fault because I didn't ask for it. I never had to before, greek restaurants usually always include Greek dressing. He actually wanted to charge me for it. They were so rude to me that the customers in line even stated to the employees that dressing comes with the food. Very rude and disrespectful. I don't think I will ever do business here again. I will make sure to not mention this place this summer when I do my falls tours at one of the local hotels. You don't know who is standing in front of you when you serve them, we are not all non English speaking tourists some of us actually live and work in the area. read more

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Pita Gourmet. Always my food of choice when visiting the outlet mall. I never stray from my usual order which is a chicken souvlaki pita pocket and a medium Pepsi (I usually hate pop, but I can't turn down fountain Pepsi for some reason). I don't know what it is about the pita pocket but it's definitely better than just a regular souvlaki or gyro. The pocket really ties it all together I think. If you're asking what a pita pocket is then I'm actually mad at you because that means you've never been here. But basically they cut the top off of the pita, open it up, and stuff everything inside. They start by putting either tzatziki or dill sauce in the bottom, then lettuce, tomato onion or whatever other veggies you want, then feta cheese, and then the chicken. They then stuff a little bit more lettuce in there and put their Greek dressing on top of everything. I also ask for a little more tzatziki on top. And there you have it! Absolutely amazing, filling, and somewhat healthy (?) They have a ton of other items to choose from on the menu, but again I never stray. The last time I was here (last night), the girl in front of me ordered a couple of cheeseburgers and they actually looked really good! Pita Gourmet always seems to have a line of people no matter what time I go, but they move through the customers quickly and efficiently. All of the employees are very friendly. I also like that I can see them making my food. All of the veggies are fresh and they are constantly throwing raw marinated chicken on the grill to cook.
