Price is raised again? Every time I go here it cost more. I understand things go up in price but I can't justify paying $19 and change for some salad with two small pieces of chicken. I can go to a Greek restaurant nearby in fact, a couple and get a much larger souvlaki salad with more protein for less money. The portion sizes always vary, sometimes I can't even close the lid on the container other times it seems like it's 3/4 full. Typically, I love Pita gourmet, I've been to this location a few times and I've never had any issues. However, today a young lady serving me refused to give me both dill and tzatziki on my Greek fries, despite saying that I would pay the extra dollar. She stated they're only supposed to do a thin line. If I'm paying extra money, why would you only give me a tiny bit. I've never had this issue before today. I even asked for just an extra side that I could pay for instead then and she said no that I had to choose one or the other. read more

I've always loved Pita Gourmet, especially this location. It's super clean, the food's always fresh, and the staff are genuinely so nice. I usually go for the garlic wrap (a classic), but this time I tried the open mini and it did not disappoint. It's definitely enough for dinner and leftovers. You get to pick between rice, salad, or both, add your protein, and top it with whatever veggies and sauce you want. I got dill on the side and it was so good. It might be a little pricier than typical fast food, but honestly it's so worth it. It's a way better option if you want something filling, fresh, and actually kind of healthy. He was wearing gloves while constantly going on his phone, had an open energy drink out near the grill, made phone calls with the same gloves on, and then went to make other customer's food. He wasn't the one who prepared our meal, but this is absolutely uncalled for and disgusting. Do better. read more

They are so dang friendly here - both the cashier and food-prep staff were so kind and made sure I got exactly what I wanted. Definitely felt like my business was appreciated. I highly suggest trying a pita with gyro and all the veggies. It made for a very satisfying lunch. And if you're like me and can never decide between dill sauce and tzatziki, get both; they will let you with an additional charge. I think I found my new favorite lunch spot. During COVID it seems like all the open takeout restaurants near me are of the fast food variety. Not a great feeling to eat a greasy lunch and sit at a desk all day at work. What an alternative! The online ordering is super easy. The cashiers are currently in training but work fast. Pickup is smooth. The soft drinks are fresh and cold. The food is fantastic! I've gotten the chicken souvlaki wrap with a heaping side of rice two days in a row. Ingredients are flavorful and fresh. I stopped here yesterday to get a gift card for my sister for Christmas. It's a new restaurant on Orchard Park Road in Orchard Park. It's Greek based takeout. (They have other locations locally in WNY.) There aren't any tables in the restaurant. This is probably because restaurants are currently takeout only because of Covid. The staff was friendly, nice, and efficient. I ordered the Greek fries. I wasn't too impressed. They were thin and kind of sloppy. I ordered a chicken souvlaki wrap. It had full sauce and tzatziki sauce on it. Maybe that's why it was so messy. There was a lot of liquid in the bottom of the plastic bag. It was messy and greasy. This place has only been open for three weeks. The cashier and other employees were friendly and nice so I'll probably return and give it another chance, especially since the other reviews are so favorable. read more

So happy to have another quick meal option in the southtowns with clearly labeled vegetarian & vegan menu choices!! We visited a couple weeks after they opened and they were bumping. Service was very quick and extremely friendly. We were a tad overwhelmed with all of the choices to be honest, but that's a good thing! BF got a chicken souvlaki pita with a side of baba ganouj. I got the falafel platter with a side of dolmas. The portions were HUGE. I honestly had a hard time finishing my meal, let alone the dolmas. In the future, I would skip them because they didn't blow me away. Texture was a bit mushy, but I'm glad to have tried them and happy that they were clearly labeled dairy-free. The falafel was extremely crispy, fatoush was different from what I've had everywhere else. I found the dressing to be bitter and take away from the salad. Next time I would ask for Greek instead of the special dressing the fatoush comes with. The second time we visited I tried the whole open with half rice & half lettuce. I wouldn't recommend going all rice because it's a LOT of rice. Even with half it was very filling. BF also had the whole open but with chicken and it was actually too much chicken for one person to stomach. Cons: All of the plastic they use. Would love to see more eco-friendly options such as cardboard-based bowls with dressing put directly on the salad unless asked to be on the side. With my order I received three small dressing-sized containers, one large one for the main course, and one small one for the dolmas. It was a lot of waste for one meal. I feel like this place is a solid 3.5 stars, but since Yelp doesn't do half stars I've bumped them up to 4 because of clearly labeled vegan/vegetarian options. I love the food at this place but I want to warn you... I have them squirt Caeser dressing on my order, which is always some variation of a rice base with the chicken. Anyway, the last time I was there for takeout (which is most of the time) I asked the guy to squirt Caeser dressing on my order. I was tired and not paying attention (yes, MY fault), but he put SO MUCH dressing on the meal I had to stop eating it at home and literally rinse it off in a colander. It was a salt bomb. I want to reiterate that the food is great, but if you have dressings directly applied then PAY ATTENTION. Before you tell me to just get it "on the side" I try to minimize the amount of plastics I use at restaurants, so for that reason I always have sauces/dressings/salsas put directly on my order. I live closer to a competing local Mediterranean chain restaurant, but was in the neighborhood so I tried Pita Gourmet for the very first time. I always appreciate being able to customize my meals, but they had even MORE options for me here. I love that you can get 1/2 salad 1/2 rice and I did just that! I went with open chicken souvlaki with 1/2 & 1/2. I appreciate you also get choice of pita and I went with wheat. I was starved so next time I'll post a photo. The chicken was deliciously marinated and grilled and the rice was a little buttery in a good way. The salad was standard, but also tasty. I will be back with my picky eater boyfriend and again with my Mom! This place gets my seal of approval! read more

We were in the mood for Mediterranean food and wanted to try something other than Rachel's... Nothing against Rachel's, of course, we love it--we were just hoping to try somewhere more "authentic." Turns out Pita Gourmet isn't quite that. It's pretty similar to a Rachel's, but with different decor and a different vibe. And that's not a bad thing! We experienced solid service and enjoyed our food. Every Mediterranean place we try for the first time, my wife always goes for falafels and I always go for gyros. We sampled a bit of each other's food and found them acceptable. When we were asked to pick dinner for the family i was less than enthusiastic about Pita Gourmet. We have been to a different location and it just didn't ring our bell. From the moment we walked in to this location the whole experience was different . Everyone on the staff was upbeat and eager to display the quality of their efforts. My wife chose the chicken souvlaki and I opted for the gyro,. Both of us were more the happy. The food was fresh and in sufficient quantity. That was last week and we returned again today and again felt it was outstanding.. Even the wrapping of the finished product was done with care and pride. My belief is the attitude of the staff greatly influences the finished product. Our experience here was that they all want to do their best to see their customers satisfied. Everything is so fresh, the staff was so nice and took time out to help with all smiles on their faces. Omg the Pita Salads were 5/5! Fresh chicken, & fresh ingredients! Pita Gourmet is a great place to stop in and eat or even take to go! The service is excellent as always, staff has always been nice and makes sure you get exactly what you order! this location was our "go to" but we had something go wrong with our pick up order and we were missing certain things on our salads & also there was no dill & no greek dressing in the bag... (plain salad & chicken YUM) I could have made grilled chicken at home & cut up some lettuce myself.. the reason people come here is for the dill in my opinion. so by the time we got home, we had realized and gave them a call to see if they could make things right & just simply see what they can do to compensate. so once I called, I was put on hold for 20 minutes. I had to call back two times cause I kept getting put on hold so after 20 minutes of being put on hold I'm speaking with somebody that is very aggravated and has a heavy accent, and I told him about the order being messed up and he continued to yell at me through the phone and tell me that he's the one that did the order nothing is wrong with it and made me feel like I'm crazy when he barely put chicken on it, forgot banana peppers, no feta cheese and didn't put any DILL or greek dressing in the bag. He then proceeded to yell more and say "whatever come back in and I'll fix it" and then hung up on me safe to say I'm gonna be taking my money to the Hamburg location. We have come here consistently since they opened & have never had a problem so it's a shame. read more

Walked in and saw the menu and didn't even know where to start. Lucy #1 was sooo nice and patient. She answered all my questions with a smile. I wasn't sure on a dish so she showed me a bit of it and was SOLD! I got the fish wrap and it was 100/10. The rice was AMAZING. Even bought some hummus to go as they make it fresh and the rice pudding. They got really busy after we got our food and never have I seen such a team work so well together. Been to other locations and tried the new location in Orchard Park. Place was hoping. We ordered the large meal that came with your choice meat, rice or lettuce, cheese and all the veggies you want. Was very good. I just don't like my steak as rare as they served it. Great fresh ingredients. Also had the falafel with tahini. Very very good. Will definitely be back. Happy for a quick meal without a lot of guilt. Enough for at least two meals. Restaurant are closed at this time due to covid. So ordered to go. They have nice sturdy take out containers. I tried the new orchard park location for the first time. The wraps are similar quality to Rachel's Mediterranean, which is a good thing. I liked the larger varieties of options and sides. Greek fries were really really good and it was nice to be able to get some grape leaves as a side and baklava as a dessert. read more
