If you haven't ate at Pita Jungle before then what are you doing with your life?! I'm obsessed with Pita Jungle and all of their healthy options they have. The food is so fresh and they have a large menu so everyone can find something they like. My go to is always the half red pepper and half cilantro jalapeño hummus to start with veggies and pita bread. Then for my meal I either get the chicken del sol or the wood fired grilled chicken. Seriously, this is the only chain restaurant I frequent. I wish they would expand into more states because this is a MUST STOP every time I am in the Phoenix area. This location and the Bell location nail it. I've never left disappointed and it's priced perfectly. Very accommodating to special diets. This is the place to go for a nice dinner with your girlfriends, significant other or just simply to bring family with. They have a variety of deliciousness all over their menu. If you're into hummus, Mediterranean, greek food and wraps... this is the perfect place! Oh and the best part.. they have vegetarian options and I know thats something I always look at when bringing one of my girlfriends. I've got to say.. the Chicken Mediterranean salad is the BEST hands down!! It was so juicy (yes juicy) the dressing is vinaigrette but I'm almost positive their is a special ingredient that makes it so tangy. Never disappoints! Been eating here for years and have always loved it. Wide selection on vegan and vegetarian options, great mix of Mediterranean foods that will satisfy all. Personal favorites have to be the spinach quesadilla and pasta salad. Servers are always super nice and attentive and food is never lacking! Normally I stay away from chains for Mediterranean food, but Pita Jungle is a big exception. It seems I'm not the only one who thinks so, as the place is always packed. There are many vegan and vegetarian options as well as organic and healthy choices. Even the nachos are surprisingly less fattening than their counterparts at other restaurants. You can walk in and order right from the counter to take your food home, and it doesn't take more than 15 minutes typically. The restaurant has a nice enough atmosphere that sitting around for that long while waiting isn't a pain. As for personal favorites? The gyro and chicken pasta salad. We've literally never had a less than perfect visit to this location. The staff are very attentive. The food is very well made. And the presentation is amazingly pretty. More like 3.5 stars. Something was missing at this pj and I can't quite put my finger on it. I think it was - dare I say- the flavor!? The food was good but for instance, the garlic dip needed more garlic. It was good don't get me wrong ....but if you won't need any tic-tacs after noshing on garlic dip and pita bread then something is wrong with the dip. I feel like they used a mashed potato base and then just added some garlic. The fluffy texture was a little too fluffy. Not bad but just a bit off. The chicken was good but needed more splash of lemon. And the cilantro jalapeno needed some more cilantro. It didn't taste fresh at all. Not bad; but not zesty with flavor. Overall we vote that the food was Pretty Okay. Our server was so sweet and so attentive. 5 starts for service. And the interior is great; the space is comfortable and fun. For something a little different, my favorite is the Chicken Pasta Salad which is a marinated chicken breast with pasta, tomatoes and a lemon vinaigrette. It's so light, fresh and satisfying. Venue: This place is trendy and light. There are quite a few tables so it can get a little crowded during the lunch hour, but it's not too bad. The restaurant has an open kitchen and some alcoholic options if you're looking for a nice light drink with your meal. I will say that it can get a little warm and "squint your eyes" bright inside on a summer day as two of the walls are full windows. read more

Most of 2020 is pandemic prone and we wanted to dine-out after months of staying at home and cribbing about COVID. Having recently moved from NewYork we were craving for some falafels. It was a Saturday lunch and we ordered the Falafel bowl, Wood-fried lavash wrap and a Grilled chicken wrap. The falafels were dry and the entire dish with the brown rice has no moistness with little to no sauces. It was very hard to eat. The lavash wrap and the grilled chicken pita was good. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place if you are expecting falafel bowls like the NYC carts and Halal Guys. read more

But, I just don't :/ I took my son for lunch, it's enough to break him out of his normal go-to favorites but I thought for sure he'd be a convert.....not so much. My son ordered the Chipotle Chicken Flatbread Pizza...he enjoyed it and was surprised at how much meat was on it...the only downfall was the level of spice, too much for he & I both, but that's always a personal choice and the name alone told us to expect some heat. I've been coming to this location for years now. I crave their salads at least twice a month. They are HUGE! I always get two big lunches out of one salad. At around $10 a salad that's a great deal! It's funny how depending on who's in the kitchen how much their food can differ from day to day. On several occasions I've had to ask for a missing ingredient or dressing. They are always quick to get it for me so no harm no foul I suppose. Their hummus and Baba Ganoush are Outstanding and it's hard for me not to eat a huge batch. In fact sometimes I simply order a small plate of each with a side of the grilled vegetables (also fantastic!) and call it a day. The ambiance is casual and very loud. Don't come here if you just want to relax and get away from it all. I do like how they showcase various local artists every month by displaying their artwork on the walls. In fact, several years ago I bought a giclee taken along the Ganghese river and met with the photographer to pick it up. I now have a unique canvas hanging in our front room along with an interesting story behind it. Sit on the patio when the weather is nice and order a Peach Sangria. Thank you for offering the family of 4 meal! This was more than enough for our family of 3, I think we have food for two more days. Our 7 year old son absolutely raved and loved the jalapeño cilantro hummus (my absolute favorite too). He dipped his chicken into it and then had some more with pita, the next day he wanted it with his scrambled eggs lol. The grilled chicken was so tender and juicy. Everything was just absolutely delicious! Oh and we also had the baklava, it was the first time our son had baklava and he ate 3 of them. You'd think since he's half Greek that maybe he's tried baklava before, but nope, his first was with Pita Jungle and he absolutely loved it! We had an amazing dinner to go with our movie night. Not only was the food delicious and amazing, but the service was top notch. I arrived a bit early, but the host let me know where my food was regularly. I'm not a stickler with time, especially when I arrive earlier than when I said on the order. They offered to assist me with my order to the car, but I was ok. Love the food and the servers are always great. I only gave it a 3 because the sound level is so high it hurts my ears. They have a tin ceiling and need to put in some acoustic Pamela to absorb some of the sound. I don't go very often, only because of the sound level. Friends have also complained about it when we decide where to go, so it isn't just affecting me. Please do something, I want to enjoy eating there again. read more

Tzatziki sauce is good. the rice was *"edible"*. I can tell you right now that true authentic mediterranean food uses either jasmine or basmati rice but these people used brown rice in my father's "gyro bowl". the gyro meat tasted like it came out of a bag, and was not on a vertical broiler spit like it should have been, it was more like frozen dinner. he paid $8 extra for extra gyro meat, and they barely gave him a serving! the absolute worst was the cabbage kale blend. he got sick because of the meat and ended up on the toilet all day the next day. don't eat here! read more
