Absolutely awesome. I could only finish half of my Spicy Chicken Pita Wrap. My waitress, Rachel was genuinely nice, really knew the menu and never rushed me throughout my meal. Amazing how they give you generous options, packed with protein and veggies! The Green Siracha is really good with the wrap and the Berry Hibiscus Tea is so crisp and refreshing. This Pita Jungle in particular is one of my regular lunch or dinner spots. I occasionally enjoy other valley PJs, if we're near one, but this one in West Mesa is definitely my go-to. Pita Jungle, in general, is awesome, fresh, healthy food -- everyone knows that. If you have an opportunity to try it, don't hesitate. And you're welcome. My favorite dishes -- the ones that I tend to order on repeat -- are the gyro, chicken hummus (both great dishes to start with if you're new to Pita Jungle), or the recently added Nordic kale salad with salmon. Also, the baklava is pure heaven, and you can't go wrong with their green iced tea. Additionally, I believe that this location on Southern Avenue is the best Pita Jungle. I and my friends have consistently enjoyed excellent food and service here, no exceptions. And speaking of service, shout out to Randi (note: that's Randi with an "i") for our stellar service on Monday, early evening (10/21/19). She was delightful and attentive. Been going to Pita Jungle since the 1st restaurant opened in Tempe on Apache. Servers and staff are friendly but the food at this particular location is just bad...changing up classic recipes by taking short cuts to save $ is ruining the brand! Iceberg lettuce is cheaper than romaine and for old timers like me, it ruins the familiar taste and makes the food taste cheap. I work in the service industry and never ever write reviews...After ordering 2 of pita jungles classics the chicken shawarma and a falafel pita I was so disappointed I reached out to the manager Fabian. Fabian was super kind and offered me 2 free entrees. I figured today I would take him up on the 2 free entrees. I ordered the gyro pita and asked them to make it how he suggested with the romaine spring mix and the Norwegian salmon. The gyro literally had wilted romaine and nothing else even though I specifically told them I wanted everything on it sub romaine for iceberg..(good thing I checked it in the parking lot) even though they said they would make a fresh one they literally took the one I had, put the rest of the toppings they missed, wrapped it in foil and handed it back to me. The salmon was good but the garlic mashed potatoes were dry and the spinach didn't look freshly wilted. I feel like a total Karen for writing this but....seriously?! I guess when you mass franchise a local rad spot you lose quality..? Keep the recipes authentic, for some people Pita Jungle is just another chain, but for people like me who have been visiting Pita Jungle for 25 years...its a taste that you can not duplicate, its nostalgic... read more

My go-to appetizer is the Jalapeño Cilantro Hummus, served with pita bread for dipping. Delicious! Have eaten the Keto Paleo dish and the California Beach Lavosh. Tip: get it in the bowl with brown rice as the lavosh will totally disintegrate. Server Brandi is polite, cheerful, and appropriately attentive. Popped in for an early dinner around 5 so there wasn't a wait which was great, I'm not sure how the wait times are during busy times though. We were promptly seated and served by Rachel who answered questions about the menu related to our food sensitivities and made suggestions for vegetarian options. It was clear she knew the fare very well and once the food was out we were very glad we went with what she recommended. I really recommend the Cilantro Jalapeño Hummus. I was nervous because I don't like spicy food but this has just a kick that makes it so much more tasty than traditional hummus. Glad I came across this place while on a road trip through Mesa. After many fast food restaurants we were craving something more on the healthy side. My mom and I decided to split the Mediterranean Chicken Salad and the Falafel Bowl. The salad was THE BEST mediterranean salad we have ever had!
