In the Phoenix area from out-of-state and visited this restaurant for the first time today. The staff couldn't have been more welcoming and gracious. I had the wood-fire vegetable salad and it was delicious. The vegetables were perfectly grilled and seasoned, and the vinaigrette dressing was fantastic. Also had the best Tzatziki I've ever tasted. Every time I eat here, I have the Mediterranean Chicken Salad. The lemon vinaigrette is amazing! I can't get enough of this salad. I tried to re-create it at home, but it just wasn't the same. If I'm feeling extra hungry, I'll order the cilantro jalapeno hummus and pita, which I also cannot seem to recreate. I have never had better hummus. I don't have to feel guilty after eating at Pita Jungle because they serve tasty healthy food that I actually want to eat. read more

I wound up coming to Pita Jungle because I wanted a Chicken Shawarma, and they were open until 10. While the food was decent, it didn't stand up to my normal Mediterranean restaurant, Phoenicia. I wound up paying more for food that wasn't as good. This place is good as a contingency plan, but I'd recommend going to Phoenicia first any day. read more

The staff is extremely friendly and very attentive to your needs. I love the hummus it was absolutely delicious. The pitas are huge! Great place for a relaxing atmosphere. They did get my order wrong but fortunately they fixed it in the way I wanted. I ate half of my pita before I realized it didn't have the right toppings but they fixed it and stuffed it this time. The manager has the best customer service I've ever seen! The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because it is a little slow on getting the food out but it's totally worth the wait. My boyfriend and I were fighting over the rice pudding. Best I've ever tasted! I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to chill back and have a healthy treat. If you want Americanized Mediterranean food, because authenticity doesn't matter to you, this is your place. The food isn't terrible, it was okay tasting and did seem on the healthier side. But take the Pita out of it, it's just not Mediterranean/Middle Eastern food. Perhaps you can say it is to mediterranean food what Taco Bell is to Mexican food. Again, no issues with the place. The food was ok, and the service was fine. I guess what threw me off was the "pita" in their name. read more

New wrap came out and almost finished when I picked out a piece of lettuce with a beetle type bug on it. I absolutely love pita jungle itself. This location was awful. We ordered hummus as an appetizer and requested the kids food to come out ASAP. Not only did she not bring the kids food out first but waiting to bring everything including the appetizer together. We asked for different pita chips since they were now cold and we saw them sitting there forever to which another waitress just wanted to argue about how pita chips are always cold, multiple times. I do not care that your location serves them cold, just bring out warm ones. Will not be visiting this location again. read more

This location is dirty. The walls are filthy- dirty enough to see from a distance. The manager was sitting at the bar hanging out and greeted us by yelling over to the door to tell us someone would be with us shortly. The food was not consistent and not as good as I've had a other locations. The wait staff looked miserable. I mean, I get that they mainly hire hipsters and that is the general M.O. of that demographic but come on... The chairs had food all over them and old dirt from lack of being cleaned regularly. Today I ordered through Uber eats and there was an issue with my food. This was the first time this has ever happened before from Pita Jungle. We have loved pita jungle ever since they opened the original location on Apache. We have done take out from the southern location ever since it opened. Last night we tried to dine in. We were seated and then completely ignored for 20 minutes. Multiple employees walked by and we couldn't get there attention. We eventually walked out and dinned at Marauders. This location is top notch. Not only is the food and service great, their team is honest. I left my credit card there and did not notice until 4 days later. I was in a panic and thought for sure that I lost it. I called this location as it was the last place I remember using it. I spoke with Fabian who informed me that he had it in the safe. The reason for the two stars is the following: I ordered the grilled chicken with cilantro jalapeño hummus. When I got there to pick up my order, someone came out of the kitchen and said they forgot to put salt in my hummus..I couldn't wait so I told them I would add salt to it. Really good food and friendly / cool staff. Be sure to ask about each dish because they're very creative and inventive and the item may not come as you expected. However the food is great. Every time we've been to Pita Jungle at this. Location for the last 4 years, the food has been excellent and the service remarkable. Tonight we were a party of 7 and got terrific service from Randi. She was johnny on the spot with drinks and appetizers. And would check back frequently to see if we needed anything. She was very accOmmodating snd took all our requests in stride. The other night, I went to PitaJungle for the first time! I heard lots of good things from my friends about how fresh and healthy Pita Jungle was, so I was so excited to try it. We start off with the Roasted Cauliflower in Tahini sauce; I loved the sauce, and the crispy onions with the cauliflower was the perfect pair. I decided I needed some Tzatziki sauce with pita, and needed to try an item off the Seasonal Kitchen Crafts Menu (think super-foods!) so we chose the chili. Both tasted fresh and awesome! We added Pita Jungle's specialty hot sauce (try the green one!) to give the chili extra kick. For entrees, we ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala - the coconut sauce was creamy and delicious- as well as the Roasted Garlic and Portobello Pizza, which tasted healthy and light. I enjoyed every bite, and soon both dishes were gone. Finally, we ate the Chocolate Dipped Walnut Baklava Rolls, which for a sweet tooth like me, is just plain heavenly!
