    LEMON GARLIC CHICKEN BOWL
    Madison H.

This place is just absolutely delicious. I've tried other places around the area and nothing beats their sauces and seasonings. The lemon garlic chicken is always cooked perfectly and seriously tastes like it was made with love. IMO this is how restaurants should operate because 99% of the time I order takeout it's shit food and poorly put together. Pita pita does everything right for me personally. And that pita bread is the perfect texture. Seriously amazing and nothing artificial or chain-restaurant feeling about it.

Stopped by and picked up lunch order recently. I had the lunch bowl with spinach salad, lemon garlic potatoes, and chicken kabob. Everything was fresh and delicious. Just need a bit more protein, then it's perfect. Lemon garlic potatoes was very good. The store was clean and the lady cashier was super nice.

My job ordered Falafel, Chicken and Greek Salads along with Garlic Toum, Hummus, yogurt sauce and oil/vinegar dressing. The pita was soft and fluffy but kinda threw me off that it was so pale since i'm used to some toasty marks or something lol but the chicken was seasoned nicely. Falafels were pretty good i'd probably prefer them over the chicken. The caterers were perfect but the food was alright. I probably wouldn't go out of my way to try them again but i'm glad it was chosen for catering over something less healthy and maybe more off putting haha. Falafel and chicken had great flavor but possibly since it was not fresh I didn't find it super appealing. The roasted tomatoes in the chicken dish was absolutely fire as well. giving a 3 because i'm not eager to try again but i'd maybe try if I was in the area.

We had the chicken kebab plates! The grilled chicken was juicy and flavorful, perfectly seasoned with a nice char. The salad was super fresh, and I loved the addition of pickled onions and grilled tomato - a great contrast of textures and flavors. One plate came with creamy tzatziki and classic hummus, while the other featured a bold, spicy cilantro hummus that added a delicious kick. What really made the experience even better was the customer service. Jesus was awesome, super friendly, attentive, and really knowledgeable about the menu. He took the time to explain the different options and made great recommendations. You can tell he cares about the customer experience! Highly recommend this spot if you're craving fresh, flavorful Mediterranean food with excellent service!

Looks clean, cashier was very inviting. Will see how it tastes :)

I finally stopped by this spot for a quick bite before work, and let me just say--wow. From start to finish, the experience was top-tier. I had never been to this location before, and the gentleman host was absolutely amazing. He greeted me so warmly, helped guide me through the menu, and made me feel completely at ease choosing my first meal there. I ordered a gyro wrap to go, and while I waited, he even brought it outside to me when it was ready. He didn't have to do that, but that little extra effort really stuck with me. Now, I'm a HUGE sauce person, and I totally forgot to ask for tzatziki. I was low-key bummed when I remembered--after I had already driven away. But when I got to work and finally took my first bite, I was hit with just veggies in that initial mouthful. Normally I'd be disappointed... but let me tell you, the flavor of their sauce and seasoning? Next-level. I was floored at how good it was. And then--bam--the next bite had that juicy beef and lamb combo and I was truly speechless. Everything was so flavorful, fresh, and perfectly balanced. You'll see in my photos: first bite, last few bites... I savored every bit. This place is officially in my top spots on Yelp, and I already can't wait for my next hair appointment just so I have an excuse to swing by again for lunch. Absolutely incredible. BRAVO Friday June 6th 2025 at 12:30pm :)

Pretty good food. I ordered this for dinner one night while out of town because it could be delivered to my hotel. The photos online looked great and the reviews matched that. The food arrived quickly which was nice. Thank you pita pita and Grubhub! They sent two knives which made me chuckle? Mediterranean chopsticks perhaps? I don't know but it made eating an adventure! Ordering through Grubhub was easy and I loved that pita pita allowed you to truly customize each step- they even have an option for you to split rice and salad under the kabob which I LOVED and was thankful for! Now the food. It was great, the chicken truly was cooked to perfection, nice and juicy, not charred like some places do. Great work here! It also came with a fresh slice of pita! Delish! My low points were: The chicken had many fat/tendon bits which I wasn't digging. And unfortunately they smothered the chicken in a white sauce?! Luckily the flavor was good (a garlic lemon aioli perhaps??) I just wasn't expecting that. Otherwise the food was good and my belly is satisfied!

Stopped by the Newport Beach location near John Wayne Airport based on reviews. We were initially thinking El Torito but wanted a fast casual place. Strip location is very visible from the street. Ample open parking and outdoor seating. Inside is small with limited seating. Time was 12:30pm and place was crowded (which is always a good sign) considering other nearby choices. We ordered the lemon garlic chicken and spicy chicken bowls. Both were the perfect amount with two sides (pic). The original hummus was okay but the Tabbouleh was flavorful. Staff were rocking and rolling with takeout orders. Service was quick. The male facilitator prepping orders did a good job of engaging customers. We will definitely come back when in the area.

I didn't think anyone could ruin Persian food. I'm not Persian, yet I could make better than what they served us. The shawarma was bland. The koobideh was bland and tasted old. The chicken skewer was okay not as off-tasting as the beef. I noticed the skewers were already half-cooked and then just thrown on the grill to heat up. They tasted like they were a couple of days old. Why not cook them to order? They weren't busy at all, even on a very busy holiday weekend. The only thing that wasn't as disappointing was the iceberg lettuce "salad." Also, I'm sure rent near the beach is expensive, but c'mon hand soap is under $5. There's no excuse for soap that's basically 1% soap and 99% water. How are employees washing their hands after using the restroom? There were no paper towels or seat covers either but that hardly matters if there isn't proper hand soap to begin with. Even the paper plates were cheap. The food is terrible, and the place feels so run down like the owner or cook has lost all passion. Either that, or all the energy went into collecting celebrity photos to display in the restaurant.

I have to preface my review by saying that my father is a Moroccan Amazigh (aka Morocco's version…read moreof Native Americans in the US). Naturally Moroccan food is something I grew up with, a comfort food, and something I am a bit critical of. I've dined at many Moroccan restaurants domestically and abroad. I've left pretty much all of those restaurants feeling that the food was average. Today Casablanca became the exception. My sister booked a reservation for Mother's Day and I was looking forward to a Moroccan meal at a restaurant I hadn't heard about. My expectations weren't high due to my prior experiences and Casablanca quickly surpassed that bar and every meal exceed my highest of expectations. We ordered bastilla with chicken and almonds, a honey lamb tangine, lemon chicken tangine (one of my favorite meals), couscous with a mix of skewers, lamb sausage couscous, sea bass, Baklava, crème brulee, stuffed dates, and ice cream. It's often the attention to detail in the simplest components that typically make something special. From the texture of the couscous to the lemon chicken sauce and how the green olives absorbed the flavor was perfect. Bastilla is a very tough dish for me to like due to me preferring savory over sweet. Finding the balance of the flavors is difficult and often what is missed. Today was the first time I went back for more bastilla outside of when my aunts cooked it. The lemon chicken was incredibly flavorful and the chicken was cooked perfectly. the Royal Couscous had various skews that were all delicious and tasted how you'd expect it to when the Moroccan aunties are getting down in the kitchen. I'm not a big lamb guy, but the lamb here wasn't gamey and fell off of the bone. The rest of the meals and desserts were equally delicious. The owner is an Algerian Amazigh and the staff was Moroccan and French. It is obvious they have a passion for what they do and truly care about their clients. My father speaks Tamazight, Arabic, and French. So he was able to speak to all the staff in their native language. The love and care they showed was wonderful and I'm sure they show this same warmth to all of their clients. I love out of a suitcase for work and get to try food in countless places. LA can spoil you, but it's often the holes in the wall that surprise you and not the trendy or more formal restaurants. Casablanca was an exception to the rule. It just became one of my favorite restaurants in SoCal. Thank you to the owner, friendly staff, and chef for making it even more special for my mom on Mother's Day. P.s. my mother is a Chamorro that has cooked Moroccan food for the last 40 years and is overly critical and as mentioned before my father is Moroccan. Both her and my father left the evening singing their praises and had some left overs when we got home. Sorry this was so long, thanks for coming to my ted talk. My wife is also very familiar with the cuisine and cooks many of these traditional dishes herself. Last night, we tried BEI in Costa Mesa, and we are both absolutely thrilled to have found it. The hospitality here is amazing. Tommy gave us a warm greeting right as we walked in, and it was a pleasure chatting with him all evening. Our waiter, George, was equally amazing. He isn't Lebanese himself, but he jokingly told us that he is becoming Lebanese more and more every day just from eating the food here! He knew the menu inside and out, guiding us through the options and sharing his personal favorite plates with real passion. As for the food, my wife and I completely agreed that the chicken shawarma was easily the best I have ever had anywhere in the United States. It fully equals what you would eat at a high-quality restaurant in Lebanon. The toum (garlic spread), which is an absolute must for the chicken, was unbelievable. The hummus, baba ganoush, batata harra (spicy potatoes), and the fattoush salad were all absolutely amazing and perfectly seasoned. We finished the evening with an incredible knefeh for dessert. Even the hookah was great--smooth, well-prepared, and the perfect addition to the evening. They have a DJ on Fridays and a belly dancer on Saturdays, giving the space an awesome weekend energy. Everything was so impressive that I sent my compliments to the chef and was fortunate enough to meet Chef Jackie personally. Then came dessert. Juan described a peach cobbler special that immediately had my mouth watering, while my daughter ordered the Espresso Crème Brûlée. Juan returned to our table with three plates and spoons and informed me that Chef Jackie has recommended her specialty. I did not argue, Chef knows best. She surprised me by sending out something different: a slice of Baklava Cheesecake accompanied by a scoop of house-made peach cobbler ice cream. Now, I have eaten some outstanding cheesecakes all around the world, but this Baklava Cheesecake was on an entirely different level. It was rich, layered, perfectly textured and flaky, and so unbelievably delicious that I nearly licked the plate clean. The house-made peach cobbler ice cream was equally impressive--light and creamy, yet captured the full peach cobbler flavor. The Espresso Crème Brûlée was also beautifully executed, with a crisp caramelized sugar shell and a deep, smooth coffee-flavored custard. My daughter ate half of hers before turning her attention to the cheesecake, and she does not even like cheesecake. That alone should tell you how special it was. I live three hours away, but I will absolutely be making the drive back. Lemon & Thyme delivers exceptional food, thoughtful hospitality, creative dishes, and the kind of personal service that turns a meal into a lasting memory. This is my new favorite restaurant!!! Do yourself a favor and make the trip to Lemon & Thyme. Ask for Juan, trust Chef Jackie, and do not leave without desert. Chef Jackie, Juan and the rest of the staff, thank you for the amazing experience!!!

This is a great little spot. We have driven by the restaurant many times and decided to go for…read moredinner. The inside is small and the decor is very nice . The menu isn't large but there is a range of different options . Everything we had excellent. My husband had grilled octopus Al Pastor and I had Short Rib Ravioli with a Demi glaze that was so full of flavor. They offer a nice wine list as well. Our server Robert, was great. Because of the location, you can drive right by it and not notice it . Please take the time to try this neighborhood gem.You won't be sorry.
