Great little place. They have falafels, chicken, and lamb I think for pitas and wraps. They also have platters with the same stuff and rice/lentil pilaf. I had the falafel and it was very good. On par with ones I've had when I've been to the middle east. They serve it on a flat bread (a Syrian style) rather than a pita and have many options for fillings to add in it - pickles, olive, onion, lettuce, tomato, hummus, mild or spicy sauce, pickled turnips, feta, etc. It was very good. The workers are also very friendly and kind-hearted. And we had the finger baklava for dessert. I am usually not such a fan of baklava because, though I love the flavor, I find most to be too sweet, often drenched in much too honey or syrup for my liking. But the finger baklava they had, though sweet, were not overly sweet. I really liked it. I will be back. read more

This is by far one of my favorite and go to lunch spots in Noho! I believe their original location is hidden in Amherst. The menu is fresh, authentic in flavor, cost friendly for what you get (see huge portion sizes) and the service is always always always EXCELLENT! I usually get a combo salad and bring my own pita to have both salad and pita! And then I usually have leftovers. Now if you're really hungry you won't have leftovers but you also won't be hungry. The older gentleman (owner I believe) gave me free falafel once and I was sold. And I didn't think I liked falafel at the time haha! Their chicken is tender, well seasoned, cooked to perfection. Very friendly staff who are always wiling to answer any questions you may have. I've gotten the combo plate with chicken and falafel, as well as the combo salad with the same protein. First time here I got all of the sauces but my favorite one is the hummus and that's what I stick with now. The chicken is good but may be dry sometimes. The falafel is delicious, no other way to describe it. The staff usually gives generous portions of everything, so you definitely get what you pay for. I have never finished a meal disappointed. The lines can get pretty long during lunch and dinnertime but the lines move fairly quick. The tables for dining in are clean, overall, the restaurant is clean. My boyfriend ordered a spicy turbo pocket and said it's the best falafel he's had in the states. I ordered the shawarma pocket and was blown away. Everything was really fresh and delicious with the garlic sauce and hummus. Inside environment is fine, pretty sure it use to be a subway so it has your classic booth seats. I love the fresh food and there are plenty of gluten free as well as vegan options of that's you're thing. They also have lamb, chicken and more at very decent prices with large servings. It's the best. Only downfall is that it used to be a subway so it's not quite the coziest of venues. read more

Grabbed lunch here with colleagues mid-week and was impressed by the quality of the food at a very reasonable price. Between the four of us, we had four different dishes and everything was excellent. (I had the Chicken Kabob Pocket and it was delicious.) The staff is friendly and they're willing to customize your meal. Two downsides (one that they can help, and one that they can't): 1) it was HOT in the restaurant the day we visited -- we ended up taking our food to go so that we didn't have to sit inside. 2) We had a bit of a wait. great food, the owner is a wonderful person, however some of the employees find making fun of people who are politely ordering food to be hilarious. As a paying customer who has been treated very poorly by the same employees on multiple occasions, for no reason what soever, other than politely asking for a pita pocket. Their treatment of me as well as other people that I have seen is really unacceptable. I personally dont like being verbally abused when I'm trying to order hummus, even I'd the hummus is delicious.The owner has been informed on multiple occasions and refuses to do anything about it. Never tried the Amherst location, but this place has become a go-to when my wife and I are too lazy to cook and want something satisfying, affordable,and relatively healthy to take home and eat. Most summer nights, you can find me cave-manning my grill but nobody needs to eat meat or fish every night and a falafel is a good alternative as they're made from chick peas which are high in protein and fiber. The guy who owns the place is a real gentleman and a very hard worker. He has tons of fixings to choose from and he fries up the falafel fresh every few minutes if not to order. Their love and passion is evident in the incredibly fresh, savory, and authentic food that they prepare fresh to order. It's clear to us after one visit that they care about their customers. This might be my favorite quick meal spot in all of Northampton now. The owner was incredible friendly when I came in with everyone in line and checking in with those eating in to make sure they were enjoying their food. The food was also excellent. I have a few similar spots in the Boston area I go to often, but the falafel here was the best I've had by a good amount. He fried up the falafel fresh to order (which did make it take a bit longer than some places) and it was crisp on the outside, soft on the inside, and incredibly flavorful. The veggies were crisp and fresh as well. The unique hot sauce was also a standout, meshing perfectly with the falafel flavor. I used to stop at This Pita Pockets location, back when I drove for WB Mason. This place is absolutely fantastic! The staff who is in charge here are exceptionally friendly, and always very generous. I haven't been here in a few months, as I don't work in Northampton anymore, but I would love to go back!
