This place used to be a Dicky's BBQ pit and then they closed some time ago. Now, it's a Pita Way, and I have to say, I'm a fan. Having never eaten here before, I was unsure of their menu, but the first time I went here, the guy behind the counter told me how it works. I usually get their gyro sandwiches, but they also have bowls as well. The guy said that the chicken's their signature thing, but I like the Gyro to much to change at this time. The foods actually pretty good, and runs me about $15 with a drink. I sometimes think about getting a side, but I know that I couldn't finish everything so I usually pass. They have plenty of seating here and I don't know that they've really done a whole lot on the inside since it was a Dickies back in the day. The staff is always nice and patient for people who haven't been there before and are unsure of what toppings they want. Birthday stop #1 on the Roadtrip to the Parental Units This location is in the middle of a busy shopping area. Parking is kind of tight, making it tricky to get in and out. The shop was busy with the tail end of the lunch rush, yet still bright and clean. It seemed the staff behind the counter was a bit new or in training, so I let them take their time. I was in no hurry and my needs were simple. It took a short while - the cashier was assembling a to-go order and I was sure the cardboard box was winning - but eventually he got it packed up. The patron was very patient and genuinely thanked him, so I took that as a good sign. He didn't quite know how to ring up a gift card. A manager was nearby and assisted. What impressed me was that he didn't just take over the register. He assured his teammate that he was doing it correctly and just provided a prompt or two, along with encouragement. That scene was worth the price of admission! I made my purchase, thanked them both and we exchanged well wishes for the weekend ahead. Oh, and my brother really appreciated the belated birthday gift. However, the food is not the best part of this business, it's the unfailing, cheerful, helpful, friendly attitude of everybody behind the counter. I've never been failed to be greeted to be offered suggestions to be told about specials and generally feel like I'm family when I walk in the door. I'm so excited to have a Pita Way join our neighborhood. When we lived in Iowa, I ate at one about 2x a month and always had awesome meals. This location is no different. Fresh food, great sandwiches or salads and friendly service. The location is awesome, especially if you workout at the nearby gyms - lots of healthy alterternatives here. In addition to individual meals, PIta Way does catering, which is perfect for parties or work functions. I've had the chicken, rice and salad several times and it's always a big hit. Great place for lunch. The staff are always friendly and that's true for the familiar and the new faces. The mgr runs a good operation from my perspective. I spend a little more money than I think but it's a large portion and that's just the inflationary environment. I love that they have diet mt dew because many don't. My one complaint is their rewards system. I have a fake name listed for that, so I can tell that they must sell that info because I get 3-4 spam texts a month using that name. But, it's easy to block and our info gets passed around from countless places. read more

Pita Way is tucked away in the plaza off of Tienken and Rochester in the old Dickey's BBQ location and it seems like they've been busy with the new Hamlin Pub close by in the same plaza. This location for Pita Way is excellent, very well managed, and has a team that is very professional. I ordered two Sandweeches, one gyro and one crispy chicken, which took some time but that was because they were made fresh and exactly to my specifications. The chicken cream chop or "Crispy Chicken" on their menu takes a bit to cook but is well worth the wait. This was my first time ordering at the location and not placing my order in advance online prior to arriving. I highly recommend ordering from a team member in person, customizing your order, and enjoying it fresh. Pita Way is what Mediterranean food should be, fresh and delicious. read more

About time I gave this place a review. I come here weekly and I've never once had anything short of a good experience. Certainly the best pitaway branch. Food is always stellar and quick. Staff are all very friendly and make sure your order is exactly what you'd like as well as quickly prepared. Not really a huge fan. The menu has a few different options, I got a Detroit shawarma, minus a few toppings and it still fell apart and the chicken was cold.
