Looking for some food we came across this place on Yelp because of the good reviews and wanted to give it a try. It's a small place (whole in the wall style) next to a gas station and offers some outdoor seating (yay for sunshine!) We tried the 5 taco platter with all different kinds of meat and a chicken burrito. The taco platter was great, trying all the different and delicious meats was really nice and the lettuce and the veggies were fresh. The burrito was enormous and two people could easily share that without ordering anything else. But we were extra hungry ;) I really liked, that you could taste all the different ingredients (meat, rice, beans, guacamole, ...) and it wasn't just one big indifferent mix of everything. The sauces you get on the side were well seasoned and added some extra spice to the dishes. I'll definitely stop here again to have great mexican food! We stopped here on the first sunny Sunday in ages because of the good reviews on yelp and what can I say: It's a hole in the wall with a few seats outside. We've had a sampler of tacos with 5 types of meat and the meat was delicious and the veggies were fresh and tasty. We also ordered a burrito. It was huuuuuuge. The chicken was fresh and well seasoned, the rice was very tasty, too. The sauces were spicy and delist, too. Hands down, THE best tacos and burrito my husband and I have ever eaten. I got 2 chicken tacos and 2 steak tacos. The tortillas are handmade and packed with the most flavor I've ever experienced in a tortilla. My husbands chorizo and bacon burrito was MASSIVE. Small hole in the wall place attached to the Chevron gas station. I almost drove past it the first time. Ordered a chicken Pita burrito. Food came out fast, hot, and the size of a small child! These burritos are huge and delicious. Well worth the $10 price tag. They also give you a mild green verde salsa and a flaming hot red salsa. The only negative I could see is for people that dont care for cilantro, they put quite a bit more than I'm used to getting at other places. read more

Stopped at Pita's after a day at Rainier. We were stunned at how good the food was, even after reading positive reviews. We have a new favorite Mexican place--the only problem is that it's not closer to Seattle. We will stop by whenever we're in the area. Nice to chat with Pita, too. Headline: This place is AWESOME. Go enjoy - it's pretty amazing! I'm originally from California, and I spent years traveling and working in Mexico. I know what great street tacos should be like. They are hard to find in Western Washington (easier in eastern WA like Wennatche or Yakima). But here in the Puget Sound - normally no bueno. Then comes Pita's - WOW. Three things to note: First, they don't charge enough. When you see the prices, you'll know what I mean. They deliver incredible value for the money. Second, the food is fresh, and made by hand with love. Nothing comes out of a box. Finally - the food is delicious! I'm talking Mexico City Zona Rosa street food deliciouso! YUM. For those of us who have lived in Enumclaw for 25+ years, - you have to know that this "hole in the wall" is REALLY A HOLE IN THE WALL! Don't be scared of it - it won't bite you. This used to be a 1 chair hair salon from the converted side stock room of Irwin's Market. Around 10 years ago, the hair salon moved out, and this place has been home to two different mexican places, a polish food place, an espresso stand, a sandwich shop, and a bunch of other things that didn't work out. I enjoy their food and that itself gets 5 stars. However, their customer service or lack thereof recently gets one star. I called last week and tried to order, but no one answered the phone. I called today and was hung up on, I thought maybe it was a mistake so I called back and was told, "Hold". Then I sat on hold and listened while the man took three orders at the window. As a self proclaimed taco connoisseur, I have traveled all over western Washington, SoCal, and Jalisco eating tacos. Pita's Taqueria makes some of the best Mexican food I've had, definitely the best I've had in Western Washington. What makes Pita's unique is their meat spice rub instead of a marinade. The meat is flavorful and tender, so whatever they're doing works. The salsa verde has a great brightness without much heat, the rojo has great heat and flavor. Beyond that the corn tortillas are cooked on demand and without question are the most flavorful I've experienced. But for once I'd say the tacos are overshadowed by the quesadillas. I had the corn tortilla which is a rarity, the Mrs had flour. Both were well cooked, adding texture and flavor. But the filling was amazing, on top of cheese and meat you get onions, cabbage, guac etc. The thing comes out the size of a small baby...but far tastier. As for Pita, sorry she's married. We had a baseball tournament and needed something that was not greasy. Yelp pointed us to Pita's. We expected the food to be good based on the reviews...but this place exceeded our expectations. We had 2 picky 11yo and they kept saying "this is so good" over and over. They had to split the a carne asada burrito cause they looked big - and they still couldn't finish! Hubby had the 5 taco plate and I don't think he spoke the whole time. He was too busy eating!!! I had the chorizo breakfast burrito - sans rice and beans for my low carb diet. It was sooooooo good. Yummm, I always have such a tough time deciding between a massive burrito or the delicious tacos. Their tortillas are the absolute best, and they stuff them full of goodness. Passing through town and looking for an uncomplicated, local meal (nothing attached to a chain). After reading the reviews, I couldn't pass this up. I tried the shredded beef fajita burrito (which can feed two or one who has been on a trail all day) and a chicken taco. The flavors were outstanding. The meat was tender and juicy. The taco accompaniments were unexpected - cucumber/radish - but a nice addition. I could have eaten the green salsa as a soup. Tremendous meal. Pita came out and introduced herself while we were eating. An immigrant from Mexico, she got her start in eastern Washington selling handmade tamales from a grocery cart. Now she's opened this taqueria, which just happens to be the best restaurant for miles in any direction. This is authentic Mexican food like you'd find in Mexico. And everything is made from scratch by hand fresh each day. Try the corn tortilla quesadillas, you won't regret it.
