This right here! What an absolute find!! Unbelievable food, the prices are right, the atmosphere was perfect, and Hot Damn these portions are humongous! No joke! The smothered biscuit and gravy, the tots lathered in gravy, and then the Chicken Fried Steak... it's like finding a local Holy Grail of food trucks! It is legit delicious!! My mind was blown by the quality of food and the whole experience. Loved it! I can't wait to take my boys here. They won't believe it. Cast Iron Queen in Enumclaw delivers on both food and setting. The retro trailer, pulled by a vintage truck, sits behind a white picket fence next to a sunflower field, with Mount Peak in view. Picnic tables and lawn games make it a fun stop. We went on a sunny day and with no shade I was glad I had sunscreen and sunglasses. We didn't have much of a wait, just long enough for me to dash over and snap photos of the sunflowers before our food came. They serve breakfast and lunch, and since they often sell out by 2PM, it's best to arrive early. We ordered the Nashville Hot Chicken Sammy, the Candied Jalapeño Chicken Sammy, loaded tots, and a blackberry milkshake. These are four-napkin sandwiches -- huge, messy, and finger-licking good. You'll want a bottled water in the car to rinse your hands after tackling one of these. The Nashville Hot Chicken Sammy came stacked with a giant fried chicken breast coated in their house hot sauce, layered with slaw and pickles on a brioche bun. The Candied Jalapeño Chicken Sammy had crisp chicken, melted cheese, sautéed onion, lettuce, and their sweet-heat jalapeño sauce. The loaded tots came piled with chopped chicken, bacon, cheese, green onion, and sauce. The blackberry milkshake, blended with real berries, tied everything together. I have driven past this place many times but was finally encouraged to stop in. There are about 65,943 things on the menu I'd like to try, but went with a smash burger and a blackberry lemonade. This isn't really a smashburger per se, but a solid hamburger with fresh toppings and a top notch bun. The seating area seems like a place I could just read a book or hang out with friends. This is a really unique gem in our area. The gal that helped me (I think her name was Addison?) was super helpful and really seemed excited to be there. People are friendly! Unfortunately, food is inconsistent. Especially, the cinnamon rolls. Sometimes they are great and seem freshly made. However, the last time I bought a six pack, they were awful. Hard and stale. Very disappointing. We also got the chicken fried steak, which is a huge portion. Something we've also had before. Always tasty. They are now using a different container though (plastic) that the hot food made very flexible and allowed the gravy to spill and too hot to hold (previously was some sort of cardboard). read more

The abridged version of this review is that the food was disappointing and drowning in bland gravy. For those who care for details, I grew up in Enumclaw and have since moved away, but I still like to try to support local businesses when I come back to visit family. We drove by this cute food truck after a Saturday hike, read the mostly glowing reviews and decided to try it out. My sister and I opted to share a blackberry lemonade and the chicken fried steak as the couple in front of us gushed about how good it was. My brother-in-law went for the biscuits and gravy because it's a dish he commonly orders at other restaurants like the Black Diamond Bakery and usually loves. I'll start with what was good about the experience. The food truck is housed in a little Airstream with red gingham accents; it's cute and on brand for the type of comfort food they offer. They weren't particularly busy at the time we arrived (early afternoon) so ordering was easy, and the outdoor seating was pleasant on a mildly warm, sunny day. We received our order in a timely manner. The chicken fried steak was absolutely enormous, and we appreciated the quality of the cubed steak. Sadly, this is where the positive experience ends. The under seasoned steak was nestled on a bed of tater tots, but the entire thing was absolutely drowning in the most bland country gravy I have ever tasted. When I think of country gravy, I think of a rich, black peppery white gravy base with bits of sausage imparting a savory meaty flavor. This gravy was more like a beige paste with rare, minute fragments of a smoky meat we thought was perhaps bacon but couldn't confidently identify as the pieces were so small and scant. I might not have noticed the shortcomings of the gravy so much but there was *so* much of it. It covered everything, even the underlying tots so everything was soggy. Unfortunately, this same gravy was used for the biscuits and gravy which seemed more like gravy with biscuits as an afterthought. We had to trawl through the gravy as if searching for sunken treasure only to find a lukewarm, stale biscuit as a reward. As for the blackberry lemonade, it tasted fine but was warm. We may have just ordered the wrong items for our particular tastes and may have enjoyed something like their wraps or chicken and waffles more. I'm just too put off by our experience to go back any time soon. read more

This was definitely very low on my list of good food trucks. My boyfriend had the Biscuits and Gravy and it was SO bad. The gravy was bland, and almost looked like a really gross paste. The biscuits were cold and hard, and we assumed they were made a couple days prior to today. I had the loaded fries and they weren't that great either. The fries themselves were okay, but were definitely not homemade (which we were told they were), as I saw the brand of them. I buy the same brand. The chicken was crunchy on the outside, but had a raw texture on the inside. Definitely taking my business elsewhere. I'm super disappointed since I saw people giving good reviews. We visited their food truck while at a sports tournament this past weekend. Not only was the service woefully slow, but the two biscuits with jam we ordered were cold and hard and likely baked the night before. Had the biscuits been warm, fluffy on the inside and crisp on the outside, I could have justified the 40-minute wait in line (there were two customers in front of me when I got in line, btw) and food pick up. But seeing as I essentially received a day old biscuit, this food truck sadly gets the lowest review possible. read more
