Ripped us off for almost $300. On Tuesday, 11/3/2020, Pittman Appliance Repair came to our home to fix our dishwasher that would not drain. Mr. Pittman asked for a $50 personal check to get started, which we gave to him as he seemed legit (we called GE who gave us an intermediary phone number who gave us an appointment with Pittman). He said we needed a new pump and it would be an additional $144 plus labor. He wanted a check for the part so we gave it to him. He left to collect the new pump and said he'd return later that day. He returned the following day around 4, replaced the pump, claimed it was fixed, and asked for a $100 labor check, which we gave him. Five minutes after he left, we opened the dishwasher and discovered it was not fixed. It was still not draining, same as before he came. We called him right away and he said he would come back the next morning. He did not. Then he claimed he'd come at 4. He did not. He took our money, did not fix the problem, then ghosted us. He took us for almost $300. After he did this to us, we looked Pittman up on the BBB and discovered he did the EXACT SAME thing to another family in March 2020 (installed a new pump that didn't fix it and never returned). This is an unacceptable and morally bankrupt excuse for an appliance repair company. read more
