Fun place to hang out with Woody and friends - ride great rides and eat good food - plus plenty of restrooms and seating here - probably the best area in the park to take a break off your feet other and sit down - always clean with friendly and courteous cast members!

GETTING HERE: Pixar Pier is located at Disney's California Adventure Park (DCA). Head towards The Little Mermaid attraction and you'll soon be golden. :-) REVIEW: Where do I begin? There is quite a bit to do at PP, but I think the two attractions that are worth the price of admission are Toy Story Mania and the Incredi-coaster. I would highly recommend those and make sure you visit those 2 attractions for sure! There is something that is just extra-extraordinary about the Pixar Pier at night. The lights, the water, the wheel everything. It is just one of the most magical places at the Park, IMHO. There are a couple of places to get snacks and a couple of gift shops, but probably my favorite is the one that you enter right after Toy Story. Make sure you prioritize a stop over here. And also don't forget to watch World of Color! Hope you enjoy!

"Adventure is out there!" -Up What a fun area inside Disney California Adventure Park! We found Elastigirl by the Incredicoaster. Being a huge fan of the films and a mom myself, it was real treat taking a photo with her! We wanted to see some other Pixar characters as well, but they were sadly on lunch. My eldest and hubby loved the Incredicoaster, it looked "incredibly" fast and fun from down below!! I stayed with baby since she wasn't tall enough and sleeping in my arms. We'll definitely be returning to explore more, the Pixar Pal-A-Round looked like a fun/colorful ferris wheel! SYOY! :-)

Pixar Pier is one of my favorite places inside Disneyland's California Adventure. Sometimes, my daughter and I will rope drop Goofy's Sky School to ride it multiple times over and over again for the first 30 minutes when DCA opens! Pixar Pier is filled with so much activities, entertainment, food, and rides! The Pixar Pier rides are listed below: Incredicoaster: This is the largest roller coaster at Disneyland and California Adventure. You'll go on a journey with baby Jack-Jack. The incredicoaster ride was my first time with a inversion, going upside down!. Pixar Pal-A-Round: There is a spinning and non-spinning option for the Ferris Wheel. This does shut down during the evening for their nightly shows. Jessie's Critter Carousel: Carousel ride inspired by Jessie's Critter Pals Silly Swings Symphony: Soaring Circles. It's located at the Paradise Gardens Park at Pixar Pier. This is one of my favorite rides at Pixar Pier. Goofy's Sky School: One of the most enjoyable rides for my daughter and I. This is one of our go-to rides at DCA. It's fast and thrilling! It does break down often, so try to ride it at least once! Toy Story Midway Mania: It's a 4D shootin' game ride at DCA. It's midway style where it goes from screen to screen. It always has a long wait time at DCA, usually average wait time is 45 minutes. If you can get a lightning lane ride for Toy Story Midway Mania, that would be my recommendation! Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind: Based on Inside Out, It's a small spin around ride. It's very similar to the original ride system at the It's a Bugs Life themed area, except re-designed for Inside Out. Jumpin Jellyfish: It's a small drop ride. You'll get to view the entire Paradise Bay though going on the Jellyfish! The Little Mermaid - Ariel's Undersea Adventure: There's is always a low wait time for this ride and one of my favorite's at DCA. You'll get to journey under the sea with Ariel and see scenes from the animated classic! The music and the animatronics are amazing! There is no height restriction for this ride! It is a slow, dark, and loud ride though! Golden Zephyr: This attraction is located at Paradise Gardens Pier at DCA. IT's designed as a retro-spaceship. No height restrictions for this ride, but it does, spin a lot! Sometimes this ride does shut down during the summer if it's too hot out! Games of Pixar Pier: Includes a WALL-E, Bug's life, and a lot more! Some of the dining experiences include the following Lamplight Lounge Poultry Palace Adorable Snowman Frosted Treats Senor Buzz Churros Angry Dogs New Shopping experiences include the following Knick's Knacks Bing Bong's Sweet Stuff There's a lot of entertainment and shows too! Most of the food festival booths are located at Pixar Pier. The Oogie Boogie Bash is hosted at the DCA Paradise Pier. A lot of the RunDisney races also have their race paths through Paradise Pier! It's a great area to hang out, ride rides, and eat some amazing food at Disney's California Adventure! Don't forget to watch their nighttime show - World of Color - ONE. It's a 24 minute show. There are two different showtimes, one at 9:00 P.M and the other at 10:15 P.M!

Good times and lots to do here! From its namesake, this is a Pixar movie themed land at Disney California Adventure. The first photo I took of my nephews was at Mickey's Ferris Wheel. While waiting for them on the top rated Incredicoaster (I hear it can go up to 55 mph!), I spotted Elastigirl or Mrs. Incredible and took a photo w/her. You can spot characters from various Pixar movie and have a photo opportunity w/them, ie. Inside Out and others. There are places to eat, snack, shop, and walk around at Pixar Pier. Lines for places vary and require patience. The single rider lines move quickly and so do the lines for the ladies room at for a Monday afternoon. Plan ahead early and use the app to make reservations for things. My fam members did that and it worked out well. Would definitely return to this part of DCA w/the hubby and/or the fam. 4 stars!

This is a fun area to walk around at Disney California Adventure. There are rides, food, snacks and games for all ages. When the park first opened in 2001, it was called Paradise Pier and was inspired by the amusement park at Santa Monica Pier. It would later be reimagined as Pixar Pier and incorporated the characters and themes from many of the popular Pixar movies. This area is really pretty at night when the lights are reflecting off the lake. The center attraction is the Pixar Pal-A-Round (formally called Mickey's Fun Wheel). My favorite ride at Pixar Pier is the Incredicoaster. Riding that rollercoaster is so much fun and never gets old. Incredicoaster is the sixth-longest steel roller coaster in the world and reaches a speed of 55 mph. My favorite snack is an ice cream from Adorable Snowman Frosted Treats. Other attractions include carnival games and a bunch of rides for kids. Keep an eye for character sightings from Pixar movies like "The Incredibles", "Toy Story", "Monsters, Inc" and "Inside Out". When I ran the runDisney 5K earlier this year, the finish line was inside the Pixar Pier. It was fun to run through the boardwalk around the lake while high-fiving Pixar characters along the way.

The Pixar Pier is awesome. There's lots of rides, places for food and games. The pier is sure to elude excitement for all. I won't list all of the rides at the Pier, but there's some good roller coasters and thrill rides for all the adrenaline rush seekers and those who just enjoy a good ride lol The food offerings here are great. Lots of small eateries where you can grab something quick (corn dogs, churros, etc), and the some more sit down options towards San Fransokyo Square. There are the pizza & pasta place, and the paradise grill at the end of the boardwalk.

A trip to Disney California Adventure isn't complete without stopping by the iconic Pixar Pier. Both beautiful in the daytime, but comes alive in the nighttime as it illuminates over the water where you can catch the World of Color show in the evening. It can be crowded, so sometimes I try to avoid when congested with people. If you've purchased Genie+ for the day, be sure to keep an eye out for the photo pass photographer as you can capture a professional photo of your Disney Day!

Such a beautiful backdrop from the midway. Though there have been significant changes to Disney California over the years, the pier itself has remained the same. Why change it if it's already perfect right!? For over two decades, I've loved the picturesque views. On a perfect day or sunset, it's an ideal spot to take a picture with your family or with the one that you love. I'll be back soon. Stay beautiful.

The lights are GORGEOUS at night, especially just walking onto the pier or looking at the Ferris wheel. Pixar Pier is home to all the Pixar themed rides, shops, and where you can meet all the Pixar characters for their meet & greets. I have seen Elastigirl, Edna Mode, the characters from Inside Out, and Bo Peep. During Oogie Boogie Bash, Sid is there for his treat trail stop & I got to meet Remy from Ratatouille ! Super rare character that I was very happy to see. Apparently you can see Emile there too during this event. I am still sad that I have NOT met Mike Wazowski from Monster's Inc since he is my favorite, but ONE DAY. For dining options, I have been to the Lamplight Lounge (which I'm still convinced is pretty mid) and I enjoy getting a cold frozen treat at the Adorable Snowman's. The iconic Incredicoaster and Mickey's Ferris Wheel is here as well and wait times CAN get pretty long if you're not doing a return time or single rider. Same goes for the Midway Madness ride (always a popular one). There's board walk carnival games and some other rides as well, but it's a must stop for sure if you're visiting DCA.

Pixar Pier (formally Paradise Pier,) resembles an old-time ocean front Boardwalk. Many of the original pier rides and restaurants have been remastered to be Pixar themed. Rides for all ages. For thrill seekers, there is the Incredicoaster. Toy Story Midway Mania is fun for the whole family. The is a series of virtual shooting games. Being virtual, all ages can play. Jessie's Critter Carousel is fun for the youngest guests. The ride features animals from Woody's Roundup. Pixar Pier is also home to the famous ferris wheel. Pixar Pier has other carnival style rides. Food in Pixar Pier has fun twists on carnival favorites. Hotdogs from Angry Dogs. Wings from Poultry Palace. Giant cooies at Jack-Jack Cookie Num Nums. Italian food from Boardwalk Pizza and Pasta. Bing Bong's Sweet Stuff has carnival favorites such as carmel and candy apples, marshmallows, frozen drinks, cereal treats, and other goodies. Frozen treats from Adorable Snowman Frosted Treats. Lamplight Lounge is the exception. Lamplight Lounge is a gastropub. It brings an upscale element to the pier. The lounge has great views of the lake.

Almost like walking on a boardwalk Pixar Pier is modeled after the beaches' boardwalk carnival extensions that head over the water. There is a midway area complete with games and prizes. Rides in this area include Pixar pal around and Incredicoaster-(reviewed separately), Jessie's critter carousel, and Inside out emotional whirlwind. There are also fast food places for snacks, churros, and the Lamplight lounge for sit down dining. Next to Pixar Pier is Paradise gardens park. Although the theming is a bit different they offer more rides tailored to kids. It wraps partially around the lagoon facing the pier and to me would see an extension of this area since it is basically amusement park rides. There is a sitting area near Incredicoaster that is in a rooftop open air shelter where you can get out of the sun and relax a bit. There really isn't any shade in this area so any place to get out of the heat is a welcome relief. Have a look at some of the Boardwalk style signs as you walk around the pier. They are fascinating and have catchy phrases. Course you can always catch the iconic Mickey Mouse circle right in the middle of the Pixar Pal around. It's a great place to get some nice photos. CA Adventure's World of color one takes place here which is their nightime entertainment. This is also home to the seasonal Ogie Boogie bash during Halloween. Since a lot of the attractions are meant for children expect to see large crowds here. Yet your day at CA Adventure would not be complete without walking through it and seeing it. Great family filled area in the park!

Knotts continues to do little to curtail the overpopulation of rampant and out of control teenagers that seem to take over the park every time we go. Despite their new policy that teenagers aren't allowed to be in the park without an adult they seem to do little to police their own policy. On our family trip a few months ago, it was clear that teenagers roaming the park freely, being disrespectful to guests and not being told anything by park staff was once again taking place. My daughter recently had her eighth-grade trip recently and the park was so overcrowded her and her friends were able to only get on ONE ride. Yes, that's correct. They got on ONE ride and were there over 7 hours. This was due entirely because they over booked and had probably dozens of schools there from all over So. Cal. Why in the world would they allow so many schools to go on the SAME DAY! Greed, I'm guessing or at least incompetence. This completely ruined their day seeing as the lines were so long one ride was all they could get on. Of course this was because there were so many kids running around and completely took over the place. My concerns were validated in a recent news report on several local TV stations. It was reported that there were large numbers of teenagers that were looking to "take over" Knotts after a Tik Tok post was leaked out. Thankfully, police caught wind of this and their devious plan was foiled. Knotts needs better planning, management, and overall control of their park so that it may once again become a family-friendly enviornment.

The percentage of negative reviews is probably not a blip on the great scheme of things. People always writes reviews when something negative happens but when things go right majority of people dont. You go here and expect madness. Kids everywhere, crowds, etc. You want tranquil all to yourself feel and vibes, go vacation to a remote island somewhere. This is for the kids. Plenty of things to do. The water slides are enough to keep kids having fun for a while. For added fees there are other optional activities but seems more geared toward younger kids. so why 4 out of 5 stars? Because I've been to the one in northern california (manteca). This property seems older. More crowded, and just doesnt have the same lodge vibes. There simply isnt the same WOW factor as the Manteca location. There is no parking garage in Manteca but instead a vast land of parking spaces. So the Lodge just commands attention and shows you are about to enter something grand. Here they use a parking structure and although efficient it just doesnt give of same vibes. The "Grand Lobby" here is also just meh. The area and space seems so fragmented and doesnt have a good flow. The manteca location is structured so well. You walk in from the main entrance and you are really in a Grand Lobby with the towering fireplace. Here its off to the side and now filled with arcade games. That fireplace is usually the photo spot for families in Manteca. Here you really dont have that. People have said the waterpark itself is better here. If it is, I didn't notice it too much. It isn't that much better to really matter. The wave pool here definitely is stronger which is very cool. But the lazy river, and everything else seems on par. I believe they have an extra attraction with the surf/wake board simulator. So IMO, the Manteca location is better overall. But this is a much better location being in SoCal with lots of other things to do here. While Manteca is basically nothing but Great Wolf Lodge.

Honestly- our one night trip was simply better than expected. Hassle free, easy, fun. I would have…read moregiven 5 STARS but there was a ton of construction on the property (not the biggest deal, but kind of a bummer). Details below. -parking was easy. -room check in at the kiosk was easy. -the kiosk printed our wristbands out. -I got a text with our room number about 30 min later (I would have preferred no wait, but it was the busy check in time). -we went to dinner at BJs down the road, no wait, very good 2 family dinner. Great M-F deals. -my kids did the high ropes course and liked it. We hit the arcade for about 15 minutes, they didn't really like it (but it's under construction, they were moving machines up into the lobby). -I brought chocolate croissants and muffins, we ate bfast in the room. The rooms have large mini fridges, there's a small microwave where the ice machines are on each floor, there's a good enough weird coffee machine in each room. -we loaded our regular bags into the car, checked out of our of the room at 9:40, got into the line for the pool. -got plenty of chairs together for the adults. -my advice: you do not needs chairs for each kid, especially older kids. They stop by, sit, and bounce. Most people eat at the tables, there are signs that people can only sit at tables for 30 min, we never had a problem eating at tables (it's so much easier). Don't waste a bunch of chairs on kids who never use them.... -the bar drinks at the pool were very very good. the Bloody Mary was the best one I've ever had. Yep. We had a mango pineapple rum drink that was so good, not too sweet at all. -every staff member we encountered was on point, very helpful and kind. -I charged everything using my wristband, very easy. CONS: -I've been several times. In my option, the pizza place is the only food worth getting when you are at the pool. The Bucket food place in the pool area is just not good, it's very cafeteria and expensive. -I saw about 15 people slip and fall, mostly near the life jacket stand outside the wave pool. Like full on hard falls. An employee has a floor squeegee, but it's pretty useless. Even people walking slipped. -the headboards in the renovated rooms are pretty bad and dangerous. They have posts spaced out like 5 inches that have right-edge corners, so, sharp. And the pillows are not enough and not fluffy. When you lean back, your head slams into those pillar posts. My daughter's head went right between two posts so she hit both sides of her head on the posts. I hit my head too. Who the hell thought that was a great design? After that issue, I noticed all the hard corners on everything in the room. My kids are older now, but parents or younger kids, take note.

Castle of fun! My group bought the $48 Golfland Fun Pass and it was worth it. All attractions are…read moreincluded but the attractions we did were mini golf, laser tag, bumper boats, race cars, and everyone used all 35 points on their arcade card. You get around 6 minutes of play time per attraction. To access attractions, you press a service button to call over an employee. It was not crowded on a Monday afternoon and there was plenty of free parking. + We started off our day with bumper boats to cool off in the summer heat. Each boat had built in water shooters. We were spraying each other and everyone got soaked. + We went on race cars to dry ourselves off. The cars were surprisingly fast. - For race cars, there was no working service button. Instead, there was a picture of a button taped to the wall which was a bit confusing. We ended up finding a staff member who let us in. It would be helpful to have a note with instructions on what to do. + The laser tag arena was bigger than expected with plenty of walls and obstacles to hide behind. There were even a couple of jump scare surprises lurking in corners. + Mini golf was fun with different colored golf balls and decorated courses. + Plenty of arcade games for all ages. - Some games were broken or out of service. + Clean bathrooms. + They sell Dole Whip here.

We came mainly for the arcade games, and while we still had an okay time, it wasn't quite what we…read moreexpected. We spent about $40 on arcade games, and it didn't go very far. The game selection is fairly limited, and some of the games weren't in the best condition. For example, the ring toss game was missing a lot of its rings, and I later noticed several of them scattered on the floor. Overall, the arcade could definitely use some updates and renovations to make the experience more enjoyable. That said, I would consider coming back if they offered better deals or promotions, as I think the place has potential with a few improvements.
