Turkey club on sourdough
Jac F.

This place isn't messing around. Turkey club on sourdough. Bread was toasted perfectly, turkey thick cut and delicious, loaded with avocado and bacon- this sandwich wasn't soggy or tough it was just right. Took it to go up to the woods and it was perfect.

We were looking for a place to have lunch near Seacliff State Beach and Pixie Deli popped up on our map. We headed over there and loved that it was easy to find street parking and it was pretty much right at the beach! This is a popular place with a laid-back California vibe that has been here over 50 years. It has a market but we were here for the sandwiches! I had a Wild Salmon sandwich which is served hot on a roll with pesto mayo, lettuce, tomato, and onion. Fresh, simple, delicious! I immediately knew I would recreate this one at home (and will likely do just that today). The prices online are lower than what they actually are these days but I think the location, service, and quality of the food make it worth coming here. They even offer breakfast items, salads, burgers, soups, and beer! If we were staying nearby, relaxing here with a good meal in their outdoor patio would have been the perfect place to spend after a day on the beach.

TERRIBLE $20 Scant Turkey Avocado Sandwich!

LAMEST turkey avocado sandwich EVER!!!! I want my tip back. I guess when you ask for everything on it, with no onions....that means little or no avocado there was one slice and one scant piece of turkey folded. The turkey piece wasn't even big enough to cover the bread. This is the WORST sandwich I've ever had. This is not the first time I've gotten a bad sandwich here...will be my last never going back,

We had friends who raved about their California club sandwich so we stopped by after a day of Apple picking in watsonville. We got the California club, the Philly cheesesteak and a cheese quesadilla for the kids. Also two bags of chips. Put us out $50 which is a bit much but such is life nowadays. The club sandwich was a good sized portion- it would've lasted me 1.5-2 meals if I didn't share it with others. It was good but nothing incredible. It did have a good amount of avocado and bacon on it which I appreciated for the price. I thought the flavor of the Philly cheesesteak was good but husband thought it was dry and could've had more veggies. The cheese quesadilla was just like I make at home (for $8 instead) and kids liked it. They had a ton of chips and drinks available. No sparkling water but they did have soda water on the soda machine. There was no line and outdoor seating but we took it to go. Food was ready quickly.

Breakfast burritos

Awesome location, with delicious burritos pick your filling. They sell beer and huge variety of drinks, I also tried a blueberry muffin and it was delicious . Staff are polite and friendly, would love to see a little update to the place , patio area is a bit run down definitely needs a power wash.

Got there 15 minutes to closing and was worried they were going to say drinks only. Luckily I was able to order a BLT. Took it to go back to my hotel room. I was staving & dug in! Didn't even hace time to snap a picture! Tons of crispy bacon and chunky tomato slices. Very good sandwich!

Great food, local treats, nice beer and wine selection, fast & friendly service with awesome staff. Casual & super chill. Hits every time. My favorite item is the BLT with chips or fries. This is a really great local spot to grab something quick or to sit and enjoy a meal with family and friends in a relaxing environment.

Half rotisserie with fries $10
Janet C.

Yummy sandwiches and fries and delicious charcoal rotisserie chicken. The rotisserie comes in a half chicken serving and the taste is smokey and packed full of flavor. The Bay shrimp sandwich is pretty good too! Wasn't into the desserts from the farm. The lemon tart? And carrot cake? both tasted a little odd like the smell of plastic wrap. It's been a while since I've had it but I think the club sandwich was good and the tri tip sandwich was good but a bit dry.

CheeseSteak sandwich. Not much meat.

Fave spot, so good! The ahi wrap is basically a wasabi wrap though, so steer clear unless you LOVE wasabi!

I had a pastrami sandwich there once before and it was pretty good, so figured this would do. Ordered the burger combo with Lentil soup. Asked for my burger medium and when it came out it was well past that and I'm pretty sure it was a frozen patty. I have frozen patties I cook at home that are great, so guessing it just wasn't very good quality to begin with. The lentil soup was flavorless and I only had a few bites before tossing out. Seasoning, a ham hock, and some aromatics would do a lot for this soup. Left feeling very disappointed as there are a bunch of more satisfying options in the area and I chose the wrong one. As I was sitting in traffic, my stomach started feeling like I ate some broken glass or something. Obviously there wasn't broken glass in the burger, just a fitting analogy. I had stomach pains for the next few hours. This is all I had eaten in like 10 hours, so I'm positive it was the burger. The woman at the counter was friendly and the place was pretty clean. I've got a pretty iron gut and it takes a lot to make it turn. Don't think I will be going back.

I got a number from the ticket machine. Holiday weekend, so bit of a wait but I think the system worked well. I am curious why it took so long since we had a dedicated worker bagging our stuff. But good things come to those who wait: Garlic twist. 5/5. Would get this again. Simple but amazing taste and texture. Could eat all day. Quiche. 4/5. Not the best quiche I've had ever had but solid. I appreciated it being on the small side since I had so many other things to try. I got tomato and spinach and wish the tomato taste came through a bit more. Would get again. Key lime pie. 4/5. Tasted fresh and had a smooth texture with the right amount of tartness. Strawberry shortcake cookie. 4/5. Like a soft scone. More intense strawberry flavor than expected. Banana tart. 4/5. Could be stronger banana flavor. Maybe if they brûléed a banana on it. Good crust texture. Impressive how everything I tried tasted good considering their extensive menu. Will try the masala chicken salad sandwich, cheddar biscuit, and chive scone next time. I loved how it was old school, well priced, well portioned, and not too precious. Staff make themselves available. There are first come first served tables to nab. Parking spots were not as easy to get when arriving but if you go straight for neighborhood parking you'll find something.

The menu is available online and they take same day orders via phone. Pickup was a little hectic as there were a lot of people in the bakery. I waited in line for a ticket and then waited for my number to be called, but found out that I could have just walked to the end of the bakery to pickup at the counter in the corner. I would probably add a sign to make it a little more obvious for those new to the bakery, nonetheless the pastries were amazing and nothing else matters. Everything was sweet but balanced with acidity or nuttiness. Great mix of textures and the crust does not fall apart even after a whole day in the fridge and being manhandled into cut portions. I'd highly recommend this place for out-of-towners, as those that live there already know it's the best.

I think you can make the wrong choice on your 1st/2nd/3rd visit depending on your taste, but I also think you should come back and you'll absolutely find something that 100% tickles your pickle. I've tried most of their hot sandwiches: - Noni's Pesto Chicken: this is one of my favorite sandwiches of all time. It's not very complex but for some reason the combination of flavors just is *chefs kiss*. 5* for this alone, don't fight me - Surf City Philly: can be surprisingly spicy, heavy but SO good. This is my third favorite. - Chicken Cowabunga: not that great, would skip, but I also have a whole website on fried chicken sandwich rankings so I'm picky - Vulcan Mind Melt: sounds so good on paper but it's just heavy. I would skip - Crispy Cod Wrap: I've had a bite or two of this and I thought it was pretty good but not that memorable - Pork Belly Banh Mi: this was good, and I don't usually like pork belly - Chipotle Chicken Club: also kinda heavy but I really enjoyed this! This is my second favorite. - Cubano: not particularly memorable Not a sandwich but Beer Barnacles: ugh I enjoyed this more often than I should have, sorry not sorry. 5*
