    Chicken tikka masala pizza

My bestie surprised me with a Chicken Tikka Masala pizza pickup from here tonight, what a special treat! All the flavors just popped! I'm not sure how this place perfectly blended a classic Indian dish with pizza - but they did. (I've found most Bay Area Indian pizza to be an unbalanced overpowering experience of competing flavors.) Didn't seem to take too long to get the pizza either. Hot pizza bonus experience. And to our delight, a small pizza seemed to be larger in size than imagined. I have definitely now decided on a new monthly pizza night event from Pizza Amigos.

My favorite pizza delivery spot in the Emeryville/Oakland area- gourmet pizza with super fresh ingredients and large enough portion sizes that's it's economical for a single person to use a generous portion for a second meal from a single order.

Uber eats to go on a Thursday night. Was ready when scheduled as promised so efficient service! Got this through a BOGO pizza deal on Uber eats- highly recommend hitting that up! (~$22 for 2 small pizzas) The chicken tikka masala pizza wasn't super unique, was hoping for more of a tikka masala flavor. Also, felt a bit skimpy on the chicken. I did like the chunks of bell paper and cilantro a lot tho! The crust wasn't burnt either. Overall, was worth a try for BOGO but would've felt skimped on if I paid the normal price.

Ordered the following: butter chicken penne pasta ($12), chicken alfredo penne pasta ($12), calzone (filled with 3 choices: beef, spinach, mozzarella $13), and a 10" Amigos Chicken Pizza (6 slices for $17). This is definitely an indian/italian/pizza fusion joint. While I have had this type of food elsewhere around the bay, I felt a bit underwhelmed by the flavor combinations and ingredients for what we ordered. Alfredo pasta had a strong uncooked mayonnaise base flavor which probably tried to make a creamy sauce but it turned out tasting really off for me (not expected nor appreciated). Calzone was overcooked/slightly burnt and lacking flavor in the ground beef (no discernable seasonings or marinade). Pizza and butter chicken pasta were OK, not my favorite but better than the other 2 choices. Portion and price-wise it was reasonable. I just wish there was more flavor and more of a true pizza and pasta essence or flavor to their dishes, even if it is somewhat fusion, flavor still matters and I felt was also Americanized for the Indian part of the fusion cuisine dishes.

I love ordering from Pizza Amigos! They are my go- to pizza delivery along with Mountain Mikes. Pizza Amigos are quick to deliver and most importantly they have gluten free pizza and cauliflower pizza (which I recently tried, and found to be pretty good). Their pizza is loaded with toppings with a good balance of sauce. My favorites include the gluten free Amigos Combo Climax, Amigos First Night Pizza, and Amigos Pride Pizza. Can't beat the price either! Gluten-free and cauliflower pizza small are $21.99.

I can't speak for every location but the one location off of Keller in Oakland cooked up for real, this was my first time trying their spot, it turned out to be hella good and I definitely would try it again. The Paneer Tikka Masala pizza was good, I recommend it.

In town at a hotel for a school reunion. After the after party we decided to order pizza and these guys popped up on DoorDash able to deliver at 130am, so we gave them a shot. It arrived on time, pizza was still hot. It was hit, everyone enjoyed it. Perfect amount of pepperoni & cheese. Not too greasy, crust was cooked perfectly, perfect to fold and enjoy. Next time I'm in Berkeley I will definitely order again.

This place is pretty solid!! I got the veggie pizza, pesto pasta. and alfredo. The veggie pizza was pretty good! The crust to sauce to cheese ratio was PERFECT. This is a crucial element that tends to be inconsistent at many places but not here. Veggie pizza's can be underwhelming and lack flavor but Pizza Amigos does a good job of making sure that isn't the case. 10/10 The pasta's were not my favorite. The fettuccine alfredo tasted a bit sour and not at all like alfredo. They add tomatoes and broccoli in it which may throw some folks off. The noodles were also a bit over cooked for this one. The pesto. was a lot better taste wise. The pesto sauce was creamy and flavorful. They do add broccoli, tomato, and olives to it which may not be a flavor combination everyone likes. The food runs oily, but you kind of expect it coming in to a pizza place. i definitely recommend checking them out for some solid pizza!

Pretty decent local pizza shop to get a pie in a pinch. Not much in ambiance as it's primarily a takeout/delivery store. Quick service.

Jeff, the owner and pizza maker, is so nice, warmly welcoming us upon arrival and inquired if we'd prefer indoor or outdoor seating. Beautiful day so opted for outdoor on their expansive back patio. Miso mushroom - new to me, savory and bright flavor. Yuzu and lemon acidity cuts into the savory of the mushroom and miso. Might be one of my new favorites. Soppresata - an OG item on the menu and one of my favorites. Simple classic pizza with soppresata topped with scallions and honey. Savory, sweet. The honey is perfect on this pizza. Longanisa - Filipino inspired with longanisa, baked egg, and tomato. Savory and sweet. Heaviest of the three pizzas. Comes with a side of sweet vinegar to drizzle on top. All three of these pizzas easily are favorites for me. They're super large and best to share with 2-3 people. All thin crust. 6 of us had these three pizzas and were able to finish it but were super stuffed. Wishing the best to Jeff and Spinning Dough's next adventure.

At least I got to go a couple times before they closed and was able to try all the unique flavors that I wanted to try. The first time I went was with my family. We got a whole Ube pizza. The taste was good, and love the uniqueness of it. Even the dough is purple! There weren't that many people there when we went, so the service was quick. My second visit was closing weekend with a group of friends. I got to try two more flavors recommended by the server during my first visit - blackberry and longanisa. Both were very good in different ways. I think I preferred the blackberry slightly over longanisa. They had a lot of take out orders that day, and we got the last white dough (there were still Ube). Good thing we got what we got. Even though they were super busy, the service was still quick and pizza came out fast. I heard they opened up again in San Francisco but for take out only. So glad they reopened because after having the amazing pizzas right before they closed on Oakland, my friends and I were sad that we didn't go sooner. Can't wait to try again in the future.

Their pizzas are already reliably delicious, but this deal is genuinely outstanding value since you get a large 18" pizza, your choice of a Caesar or dinner salad, and four very large sea salt chocolate chip cookies, all for $35. We grabbed two of these specials for a group of six and still had leftovers, so I'd say one combo easily feeds three people and could probably stretch to four as long as no one is absolutely starving. The pizzas themselves are ultra thin but still hold up structurally since you can lift and fold each slice without everything collapsing, which is exactly how I like to inhale my pizza. I personally wish the crust were just a touch more burnt and crackly on the edges, but even without that extra char, the flavor and bouncy chew of the dough were spot on. We ordered the Hot Italian and the Sausage & Roasted Garlic pies and absolutely loved both, especially the housemade sweet Italian sausage that appears on each, which is savory, slightly sweet, and super satisfying in every bite. Their house tomato sauce deserves its own shout out because it hits that ideal balance of sweetness and acidity and ties everything together perfectly. On the Sausage & Roasted Garlic it plays beautifully with the rich roasted garlic purée, and on the Hot Italian it stands up nicely to the Calabrian chilis and chili oil without getting lost. The sea salt chocolate chip cookies that come with the special are huge and packed with chocolate chips, and that little hit of salt really enhanced the flavors but the something about the texture was a bit off for me as it wasn't quite chewy or crumbly but rather something in between, which left me a little confused. Another big plus is that Violetta has a full bar so you can pair your meal with a beer, a glass of wine, or a cocktail to match whatever pie you are in the mood for. Between the quality of the ingredients, the thoughtfulness of the flavor combinations, and the generosity of the Restaurant Week deal, Pizzeria Violetta is an easy recommend and a spot I would happily return to with a group (or by myself with plenty of leftovers!).

We also ordered a side of their blue cheese and basil ranch. I didn't know ranch could get any better than plain ranch. Basil ranch was bright and also creamy.
