Cold rainy day, didn't have time to pack a lunch. My coworker suggested ordering an ultimate pizza sandwich. I had forgotten about those! We phoned it in and it was ready in 20 min. So crisp and flavorful, think layers of sandwich meat, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, and pickles. $20 for a small which is 6 generous slices! Where can you get lunch for $10 anymore? Yumm

Love this place, it might be the same 5 years ago but still love their crispy ultimate sandwich.

Good pizza but the waitress is rude if you're not a local and they got our order wrong. Oh, and it took them over an hour to deliver.

Super cute and not something you get to see every day! I always enjoy trying out their seasonal items, so for this visit, I ended up getting the Chunky Monkey and OMG!! Immediate new favorite!! Upon the very first sip, I could taste both the banana and chocolate flavors, and they make such an amazing combo!! I also ended up trying their Raspberry Croissant, which was pretty huge. That one was alright lol. Overall, coming here is always bound to be a good time. Plus, the staff is always nice, which makes the experience even better!!

Most of the time, everything is great, but lately, I've noticed it can be a bit of a hit or miss--I either have a wonderful experience or a really tough one. Why I keep coming back: Their food is genuinely delicious. They have really good sandwiches and so many great options if you're hungry. Also, a little insider tip: if you're feeling under the weather and want something better than a Starbucks Medicine Ball, order the Remedy Tea. It is so soothing and I highly recommend it! My recent experience: On my last visit, things felt a bit off. The staff seemed really rushed--they actually started making our drinks while we were still in the middle of ordering. Because of the rush, they missed my milk modification and the drink ended up being way too sweet, to the point where I couldn't really drink it. What saddened me most was that the cashier was pretty rude and dismissive toward us. We actually felt so uncomfortable that we didn't even want to ask for a remake, so we just headed out. I truly love the menu here and the vibe when it's "on," but I really hope the service gets back to that friendly, welcoming energy I fell in love with.

The coffee tastes like a clean, bitter, cold brew with a foamy top. (Important: Bring Cash. There's a 4% Cash Discount.) I arrived at Rail Side Cafe (San Dimas) on Thursday (around 12:13PM). Parking is simple but busy. There's a side lot for customers; sign says, "2 Hour Parking." Staff is courteous, no-nonsense, and diligent. Staff worked hard. Staff quickly answered all my questions. My coffee took about three minutes. Good time. As mentioned, I ordered the Nitro Cold Brew ($9 - Large - 24oz). The coffee is very standard. It tastes exactly like any imagined cold brew coffee. Personally, the roast tasted a little burnt, but it's a common, familiar coffee flavor. The strength was weak for a nitro, but the HUGE SIZE and affordability balances it all out. This is a functional, budget drink. On ambiance, Rail Side Cafe (San Dimas) is a HUGE success. There's a lot of utility. The location has a self-serve water station, public internet with no password, stacked high chairs for children, two game corners (ex: Chess, Giant Connect 4, Giant Jenga, Uno Cards, Etc), and about one available electrical outlet. I also appreciated the retro, upbeat music and 1930s movie decor. In addition, Rail Side Cafe (San Dimas) has plenty of seating. There's about four interior tables, but there's also 16 outside patio tables. The location is clean, well-maintained, and well ventilated. Overall, Rail Side Cafe (San Dimas) is a good, local neighborhood spot. It offers affordable choice that are prepared "good enough." I wouldn't drive a long distance for this spot, but it's a decent option if you're already nearby. 4.5 out of 5

If you plan on visiting, I definitely recommend taking a peek at their large menu online before you get there so you have an idea of what you want. They have a huge patio area with fun games to play for the entire family, which is a great touch. The inside is a bit small with only a few tables and a little area to order, but the outdoor space really makes up for it. The staff was amazing in guiding my family and me toward the best food options for what we were craving. I ended up ordering the B.T.S.A. sandwich, which was a lovely combination of toasted bread, mayo, avocado, spinach, bacon, and tomato. It was a well-balanced comfort meal that really filled me up. For the side, I chose the cucumber over the fruit and sprinkled a little salt on top, making it a perfect pairing. I enjoyed the whole meal with an iced tea and really look forward to trying it again. I would love to come back on the weekend if I can manage to find a parking spot!

Their tater tots alone are practically a meal. They're crispy on the outside, fluffy inside, and well-seasoned without being overly salty. They're great with ketchup, but I like mixing half of them with my homemade lemon pepper seasoning, which takes them to another level. The cheesesteaks are generously portioned and packed with tender, buttery beef smothered in plenty of melted cheese. Their menu is very limited but honestly, quality over quantity. Based off the reviews and photos that I saw on Yelp, I decided to get the 'West Coast Cheesesteak' in a large to share between two people. They let you choose what cheese you want and the reviews said that the cheddar cheese sauce was amazing. Honestly, I wish I stuck with what I like and got the provolone. The cheddar cheese sauce wasn't my cup of tea but the two people that I shared it with said it was really good. I did also wish that the bread was more toasted and the entire cheesesteak had more texture to it. The bell peppers added a nice spice to each bite and was honestly my favorite thing about the sandwich. It was also $20 for one cheesesteak.
