If you live in our area, then you probably know that that the local steer'n'stein steakhouse shot down recently and a little bit early. The food was amazingly close to steer'n'stein's. (See below) the place was a little packed because people were mourning steer'n'stein's closing. the service was basically steer's, kind, fast, and patient. Ambience? 1980's steakhouse stereo type. Tenderloin in 2 words: steer'n'stein two. Will fill most of the void in our hearts/stomachs. An anonymous 10 year old.

Great steak at a good price. The service is good and I have never had an empty cup. The interior reminds me of a 90's old style steak house. Food and menu is identical to a steak place in OC called Steer Inn that is closed now but I used to eat at a lot when I worked out that way. We try to come to the Tenderloin once a month on average.

This place is one of the better steakhouses around us. Definitely better than Outback, Black Angus and so on.

I wanted to like this place more. I thought it could be a more inexpensive place to grab a steak, a burger, or maybe some seafood. But the prices were not all that competitive and the quality of food isn't super appetizing. It was passable. Admittedly, it's kind of unfair to judge a steak place on something other than their steak. But with all their cuts being above $23 except their most meager offering, it just didn't appeal to me. Clam strips, however, is something I always welcome on any menu. More than fish n' chips or shrimp n' chips, there's something about a clam strip entree that hits the spot most time. This was not that time. The strips while sizable were a bit over-fried, being more crunchy than firm. I could barely taste the clams beneath all the crumbly breading. I can forgive maybe being overcooked if the clam portions were present, but it just didn't taste like they used much clam at all. The salad and baked potato were fine, but they weren't really what I came for. The space was good--with a lot of booths and tables for all size of parties. It felt very welcoming and home-like. On the other hand, the service left a lot to be desired. It started alright. But as the dinner wore on, the server seemed to be less attentive, especially when I indicated there would be no dessert. This culminated in me asking for a to go container and it being forgotten for almost a ten minute period as she passed my table repeatedly. I don't think it was mean-spirited, but I've seen this kind of behavior before where it's stated the table probably would not be placing any further orders and the service stops caring what happens to it aside from getting the bill. Obviously, I don't care for it. I think The Tenderloin has a lot going for it, but for me for now it's a bit over-priced, under-served, and underwhelming place to get a meal.

The food was OK. The meat was a bit overcooked, which I was surprised because I've been coming here for years. And it was super hot inside.

STEAK CEASAR SALAD... This dish you may not find on the menu but Karen, the server made it happen for me. It's absolutely DELICIOUS! All my favorites served on one plate for my eating pleasure. The Ceasar dressing is by far the best bar none! Cook a tasty steak and add that to a crispy cold romaine salad. What else can I say but you need to try it now! Service is always attentive and top notch and food is fresh made to order.

The food, service, ambiance were all great. I had liver and onions. That's very easy to get wrong but these guys made it perfectly. I highly recommend The Tenderloin Restaurant, I will definitely be returning.

The steak and salmon were great and I loved that the baked potatoes were a good size and came with cheese, sour cream, green onions, and butter. The ranch for the side salad was also perfectly creamy. Overall, I really enjoyed our dinner and the memories we made that day :)

The food was AMAZING. Truffle garlic bread had such good garlic flavor, which I love. Truffle Mac & Cheese was so creamy and hearty. It was melt in your mouth good. However, the one item I still dream about, that is not on their menu, but should be, was their flat bread pizza with pineapple. I could have eaten just that alone. It was so good, no one spoke, it was that good. The service was wonderful. We felt welcomed and I appreciated that the server offered us specials of the day and her favorite items off the menu. The atmosphere is elegant and inviting, making it perfect for a special occasion. We arrived right at opening and were seated immediately without any wait. Our server, Ella, was an absolute delight. She was knowledgeable about the menu, welcoming from the moment we sat down, and attentive throughout the evening without ever being intrusive. We started with the mussels, a favorite dish for my wife and me, and they were exceptional. The broth was so flavorful that we ended up ordering extra bread just to soak up every last bit of the sauce. For my entrée, I ordered the Linguini Fini with artisan pasta, large shrimp, sea scallops, tomatoes, red onions, and garlic cream sauce. The portion was generous, and the flavors were outstanding. It was one of those dishes where every bite was as good as the first, and I happily cleaned my plate. My wife ordered the Long Bone Pork Chop, featuring Beeler's Duroc pork chop, seasonal mostarda, and creamy corn polenta. She had enjoyed it on a previous visit, and it was just as delicious this time around. The pork was cooked perfectly, and the accompaniments complemented it beautifully. My mother-in-law chose the Angus Prime Rib, a Sunday-only special served with au jus, horseradish cream, scalloped potatoes, and charred broccolini. I was lucky enough to try a bite, and it was honestly one of the best prime ribs I've ever tasted tender, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. Between the exceptional service, elegant atmosphere, and incredible food, this was a memorable celebration. We'll definitely be back to explore more of the enticing options on the menu. Highly recommended for both special occasions and a great night out.
