This was my 5th time eating here. I think it gets better each time. My wife and I just wanted to go out for breakfast. We were glad we did. Everything was good (the coffee was not good, but it wasn't bad either. Just blah), but that cinnamon roll pancake, OH MY! We shared it and nearly wrestled for the last bite . The waitresses were fantastic! Another very enjoyable experience

It is a good place, went there for breakfast and wasn't busy seated where the counter is cause hostess says it's faster. I noticed at the register which is cool school cash only so suggest bring over $20 cash each person or pay the fees using the ATM at other side. The combo bacon and eggs came in good timing and taste. Hash browns were crispy why I like it and has an option regular or seasoned. When I'm around again I'll remember the cash only. Servers were nice.

We ordered take out through Grub Hub. I ordered the breakfast bagel sandwich and got it on toast instead of the bagel. I also asked for cottage cheese instead of hash browns but got hash browns instead. The pancakes were tasty but flat. Overall it was not very impressive, especially for $16 for the sandwich which costs about $1.00 to make. I appreciate that is a classic diner menu and has a great location in down town la Verne. I was expecting better but it was just average. Had they not messed up the order I would give 3 star average.

Roberta's Village Inn is every bit the diner you'd expect to walk into given it was opened in 1969. Very old school feel which I love. The place was packed and the wait was still short which was nice. It's a lot of food for a good price. I got the Farm Style breakfast with two fried eggs, bacon and seasoned hash browns. That was already a very generous serving of food and I still got to choose between toast, a pancake or biscuits and gravy. I got the biscuits and gravy. Everything was tasty. The eggs were a little unsalted but have no fear - salt and pepper are at the table. The seasoning for the seasoned hash browns is Lawry's Seasoned Salt which definitely gives it a boost. And bacon is bacon - crispy, delicious. The biscuits and gravy were really good and I took a bite of my wife's pancake which is also good but I had no more room to eat. I felt like I needed to run through the streets of La Verne to burn off all the calories I just ate. The only thing I wish would change is that it's cash only. It's not the only place in La Verne that does this but it's 2025 and inconvenient. Not a big deal but it's those little things sometimes. All in all though, I'd come back. A good first experience.

The service was absolutely wonderful. We were checked on regularly without it being too much. Our drinks were refilled regularly. There's a good selection on the menu, something for everyone. In all honesty, I thought the food was good, but not great. Ambiance is a retro diner vibe, which is always a good thing. It is Cash Only, so come prepared. Otherwise, there is an ATM on the premises, but I don't know what the fees are to use it.

Popeye omelette with a LOT of extra cheese & mushrooms plus well done hash browns & toast

Had to give a HUGE thank you and shout out to Roberta's. Our family has loved everything about this place for decades, but today I was starving and ran up the street from my office to get a late lunch. Forgot they close at 2pm on Wednesdays, walked in at 1:55pm, and not only did I get the nicest welcome like always .... But the kitchen staff were gracious enough to fill one last take out order for the day. I was SO appreciative and enjoyed my fave food even more because it tasted like a perfectly cooked lunch and the kindness it was prepared with. The ladies are always wonderful but gave me an extra iced tea for the road and took the time to chat as they cleaned up for the day. The atmosphere here always takes customers back in time with the decor, but most importantly the spirit and attitude of how things used to be where meals and going out to eat were a privilege and time slowed down to enjoy every aspect of your experience. Thank you again & if you haven't visited Roberta's - you have to make the trip! It's worth the time and money that feeds your body with great flavor and your soul with everything else! My fave - Popeye omelette with more cheese than anything else and sautéed mushrooms, well done hash browns, & toast. It's DELISH!!

Pot Roast with baked potato and veggies.

Nice little 50's style diner in the heart of LaVerne. Hubby and I enjoyed the pot roast dinner. The pot roast was so tender and delicious in its own gravy. The dinner comes with your choice of soup or salad, we opted for salads. Good sized portions, delicious food, reasonable prices and great service. Do yourself a favor and pay them a visit. You'll be glad you did. Breakfast is available all day, except for waffles they're not available for dinner. Cash only.

5/29/26 So glad I stopped by! Got the Cafe de Ola latte…read more Kudos to Jagruti (saw her video), this place is small & off the beaten path (for me). I love cafe de olla and as they say, it didn't disappoint. I got an exceptional cup of cafe de olla latte, thanks to Elijah, who was a very welcoming and and friendly young man who help me at the counter. He answered all my curious questions. It is such a small shop. There are no seating arrangements inside the small shop that has a lot of merchandise from T-shirts, sweatshirts, to coffee beans to mugs, etc.. from the looks of the mugs that are featured here. This shop has been in business for a decade, more power to you. I hear vibrant and cultural music that is faint enough for you to be able to carry a conversation, I really love that. This is right by the Metrolink train tracks street parking noted and there appears to be a public parking that's free along first street this shop is in the corner of first Street and Main Street. . This is another shop. I wish that would be closer to me, and I would be visiting it very often at least once or twice a week if I could help it at all. Another wonderful experience. Thanks again, Elijah, tell your mom to follow me on F$An€! and I will follow back. I plan to check their IG to see their pop ups. The merchandise is stunning Please support small businesses

I also ordered a Cinnabon which was horrible. I saw it go into the oven as soon as we ordered. When our drinks were ready, we went up to grab the drinks and asked for the Cinnabon. Staff said the Cinnabon was still in the oven. We noticed a box at the pick up station but didn't think much. That box ended up being the Cinnabon. The Cinnabon was very very stale.
