$40 wasted!! First time trying and never going back. I ordered lemon pepper wings ... but they were topped and coated in Parmesan and Garlic. The chicken has a FOUL smell. It smells so bad. I'm scared to eat it. Fries were soggy and cooked in old grease. I took a bite of the burger and got a mouth full of a weird burnt chunk of something. Everything, in the trash. Better safe than sorry.

Where to start? Ordered via Uber. Ot took over 90 minutes to arrive, but not because of the driver. I watched the app and saw that she waited over 30 minutes to pick up. This was also well before their advertised 2 AM close time. Ordered the Gyro plate. Meat was burnt and the Greek salad had no dressing. Seriously? Also, tzatziki was clearly sour cream with a bit of cucumber. To top it off, black olives instead of kalamata. Fried mozzarella sticks were obviously frozen to begin with and cold. One small marinara for dipping. Wife's meatball parm were frozen meatballs. Complete garbage from a supposed "best late night of San Antonio". read more

Was not impressed with this place pizza was mid at best came here due to the 8.6 review on one bite app walked in to pickup guy makin pizza was very rude then when pizza was ready I guess wife was handing it to me and the guy making them was like no that's not your pizza and the lady was like it's me and the guy was like that's not you gave me hell about it as far as the pizza lots of cheese no dough tasted almost like little Cesar's and for the price 20 dollars a pie is insane don't recommend read more

Thee best pizza I've ever had! All meat is HALAL, no pork and I LOVE it. The crust is perfect and idk what kind of cheese this is but it is EVERYTHING. Food is always fresh and the service is impeccable. The owner is so kind. It's a little hole in the wall but that's what I love most about it! read more

Service was a little slow to notice me when I walked in and nobody answered the phone when I called but they were very friendly when I ordered and the pizza came out hot and quick. Had the chicken gyro pizza, very good, crunchy bottom, unique flavor. The place was a late night pizza vibe for sure. read more

We preordered a pizza at 1am for pickup. When we showed up the door was locked and the phone wasn't set up. We saw an employee inside that couldn't hear us and the other 2 groups of people waiting to be helped. After 10 mins and one group leaving we got thier attention. We did get the pizza and it was really good. So, maybe just be more water and we'll come by again read more

Open till 2am. That's why I went with coworkers. We each got a pie and shared with each other. She got pineapple and pepperoni (they were out of Canadian bacon), he got a meat lover with added jalapeños and I got the chicken with Alfredo and spinach and added bacon. I liked mine the least. Too much spinach for my taste, but the others were great. The crust was better than expected quality-wise. The only employee we saw was friendly and patient. The downsides were the lack of air conditioning and the lack of dining area. I suppose they rely more on take-out than dine-in. There were only two tables that could seat four and three or four tall table each with one chair. Sodas were all in cans, so no free refills. And they were out of a few things like the aforementioned Canadian bacon, but also the menu had a goat cheese crostini as an appetizer and they were out of that as well. I would like to go back and try a burger or Philly. We'll see. read more

Truly the greatest pizza I have had here in San Antonio, and it is amazing that this place is fully halal. My goodness. Yes it is pricey, but you are paying for incredible pizza. Wings were well made, sauces were fresh. I can't wait to try their homemade ranch crust. I've had their garlic parmesan and mild wings, I did like the mild a tad more. The veggie and chicken shawarma pizzas are a solid 10/10. WOw, the marinade on the chicken really shines. I can't wait to try the BBQ and buffalo ones. MUST TRY. read more

This is our family's favorite ToGo place in SA. There pizzas and wings great for kiddos but the real star are their gyros sandwich ! Best in SA gyro meat - tender, thick and incredibly well seasoned ! Their chicken shawarma is also incredible on their signature pizza or salads ! It is fresh, juicy and flavorful. You just can't go wrong with Pizza Break ! read more

What incredible management and owners! Kind and accommodating! We had asked for a half/half and they were happy to accommodate for the meat lovers and the buffalo chicken. It tastes great. Fresh ingredients and meat was excellent. Really enjoyed talking to the owners there and will be back for more pizza options. read more

My rating scale is 3 stars for normal average experiences Minus one star for outrageous delivery prices, basically double. Minus one star for horrible gyro, really just bad bad. Do not order this here. Go to whataburger or mcdonalds much much better Plus one star for actually decent cheese pizza. Overpriced like crazy but decent. read more

I have to say everything this man makes is so good. I started buying food from him when he was on Broadway in a food truck. The Mediterranean food is so good. The salads are great. The pizza is great everything that he makes and sells is great not to mention he's a really nice guy. Definitely recommend 10 out of 10. read more

My husband and I had Pizza Break cater our wedding with our own custom made boxes. Muhammad and staff were INCREDIBLE. Not only did they make 30 pizzas FRESH but had them all ready for pickup on time. Their customer service was amazing and the best pizza in San Antonio by far. All my guests loved it and was a big hit. I will be forever recommending!! read more

We were by North Star mall and looked up pizza places near us- so glad we can across this establishment! It's a cool small pizzeria, nostalgic even. Service was excellent and staff was courteous. We ordered a large pizza and wow definitely had to ask for a to go box! We saw the table next to us ordered the Big Poppy and wow- we will come back with our family to order that one! read more

Came in yesterday for a medium pizza with an 8 count wings. Not sure how but I came an hour late (bad time management on my part) but they made an entire new pizza so that mine wouldn't be cold. I valued that so much although I know I should've walked away with cold pizza, lol. The pizza was average and so we're the wings, but the service made up for it. read more

We have ordered several times from here and have always loved it. The pizza is cheesy with quality cheese and sauce, and a tasty crust. My husband got a Philly cheesesteak sandwich and it was so good. I normally don't like them because they are so greasy, but I ended up eating half of his sandwich because it wasn't greasy and the meat was so good. It's a very unassuming place, kind of behind a gas station, but this little "hole in the wall" is one of the BEST pizza places in town. Try it. read more

Was searching for a late night bite and stumbled across this place, Pizza Break. It's a relatively new restaurant and it peaked my interest. My wife and I decided on a pepperoni pizza and I got a chicken shawarma with fries. Both items completely blew my tastebuds away!!!! The chicken was juicy and tender and was complemented so well with the garlic sauce. The pizza looked amazing and the area was even better. What topped it all off was the one guy working, his attitude was so welcoming and made sure we didn't leave without all the condiments. The ambiance was like a mom and pop shop, welcoming and you just know you're gonna get the best meal of your life. I said in response "this place sure has changed." Last time I encountered such rudeness was at the restaurant Ocho, also near the Riverwalk. They are now out of business. We will not be returning, sometime in the future we will look in to see if this person is still working here (though we have not seen her do much working besides lurk behind the bar and the ladies room door. Customer service is one of foundations of of any good business, hopefully this establishment will return to it's previous standards.

They get a lot of produce for local farms which is extra amazing.

We ordered the Vodka pizza and added pepperoni--such a great choice! I'm already looking forward to coming back and trying some of the other pies. We were lucky to get there just before they sold out for the day, and there was no wait. Definitely a new favorite! Inside and outside seating.

The wait does get long sometimes. We were lucky to have a party cancel in front of us, so we got to sit inside. Two bars, and the bartenders are super cool. We ended up ordering wings and a 20" pizza. There was also larger pizza ordered as well. Plenty of TVs on with sports and shows on. Plenty of space to sit, for sure.

However, after being seated, our server took our drink order and then disappeared for long periods of time. We had to ask another server for assistance, and our pizza didn't arrive until about an hour after ordering. During that time, no one checked on us or refilled our drinks. To make matters worse, our order of two dozen wings never arrived, so we eventually canceled it after watching other tables receive their food. When we finished eating, I had to track down our server just to get the check. I understand restaurants get busy, but a little communication and attention would have gone a long way. The pizza was good, but unfortunately the service overshadowed the entire experience. I ended up emailing the manager - it's been 24 hours and I haven't heard back.

My husband got a drink that had Grapefruitcello / Pompelmocello in it, and it was like grown up sour candy balanced with the bitter herbaceousness of the pith. Definitely worth a visit, particularly if you're just flying into San Antonio. The service was stellar, and it's only an eight minute drive from the airport!

We ordered a funghi pizza to share then a cinghiale, a costine (short ribs), and a dentice (bass). Funghi pizza was the only dish that made coming worth it at all. It had a nice flavor, but if you're expecting the notes of an earthy mushroom flavor, don't. It's just a nicer version of a standard cheese pizza topped with some onions and mushroom. The cinghiale was just stunningly mediocre. The meat was flavorful, but the pasta itself was shockingly bland. It was just so... ok. The dentice was the best of the 3 individual dishes, but it is just what you would expect some average short ribs with random sauce to taste. The costine was just terrible. Salty on the outside, yet flavorless on the inside. Avoid at all costs. The service was passable, but they clearly overwork their servers as one server just handles an entire section and is too overwhelmed to be timely. I came to cheer myself up, but honestly it only made dinner comically worse. I seriously can't imagine what would cause someone to rate this as 5 stars. Maybe if they thought Olive Garden was 4.5, then I guess this would barely be a 5 in comparison? Either way, if you're looking for good food for your dinner, keep looking. You won't find it here.

Their host/doorman was kind, he offered the line water on many occasions and made pleasantries with almost all guests as the line moved. It was a hot day so those waters were clutch. By the time we made it to the front of order line maybe 40 minutes had passed. But ladies and gents the wait is worth it. When we plated our trays on the table my family all had heart eyes, and had equally loved our first bites. Their brisket is extremely tender. It's beautifully sliced and made for an amazing welcome back to the South taste for me. I was in heaven. I particularly enjoyed having the fresh pickled red onion for fresh, zesty cuts through the abundance of other saltier elements on the plate. Their menu is slammin! Their sides, and sausages all had crafty ingredients. I enjoyed their spicy link options and their macaroni was delightful. Their BBQ sauce was a nice 4/5 but certainly did the job. As a native Texan who's had their fair share, this was easily some of the best barbecue I've ever had. Top 5 top 5 top 5. I'm of course coming back and looking forward for more banana cream pudding especially. They were small, slightly sweet, and had great balance with the vanilla wafer ratio. That whip cream on top too had me hooked. I couldn't have asked for a better welcome back meal for the bold Texas cuisine, hospitality, and novelty animal and cowboy decor.

Food quality has not been constant on our visits, usually late lunch times. Server was great. Answered my questions and addressed my concerns at the end of our lunch. The recurring major flaw, is the way the restaurant inside was designed. It is beautiful but made with all hard surfaces. Nothing present to absorb sounds. As a result sounds inside magnify to a point our servers have had to bend over or take a knee to gather clients food orders during busy times. I feel like I am ar a big Spurs game with the sound bouncing around. Those at our table have had a hard time to have a conversation with each other at times. The small room up front is designed so sound bouncing off hard surfaces is worst in this room. I have had to ask to be relocated twice from this room due the sound level. The kitchen area in the front do not have doors to abd from the kitcgen to the dinibg rooms. Another design flaw, as a result the seating areas loud sound comes into the kitchen area. I can not imagine how the staff communicate to each other in this work setting.

I cannot say enough great things about this amazing pizza place! We stopped by late at night to celebrate a birthday, and the experience was nothing short of magical. The owners went above and beyond to make our celebration special--they surprised us with cake, candles, and even free soda. Their kindness and generosity were truly heartwarming and made the evening unforgettable. As for the pizza, it was absolutely delicious--hot, fresh, and packed with flavor! Not to mention, the prices were super affordable, which made the experience even better. It's rare to find a spot that combines great food with such genuine hospitality. If you're looking for a place that serves fantastic pizza and treats you like family, this is it. Thank you for making our night so special--we'll definitely be back! read more
