Place is hidden but easy to find with goggle maps. Their menu is both, small & large. The small one is for customers to take with them for future use. Their menu is large with many options to choose from. In this visit we ordered a small cauliflower pepperoni pizza. It just so happened that they have a buy one get one free promotion so we got two small cauliflower pizzas. They both came crispy and tasteful! The cashier explained their menu and answered all the questions we had. We sat down and waited for our pizzas. The service was good and they have self serve refills root machine. The place isn't that big but can accommodate a large party of 20 or maybe a little more. read more

I placed a pick up order as they're in the neighborhood and figured we'd give it a try. I was at the counter for about 3 minutes before I was even acknowledged. Then they decide to help another person that arrived before me. Finally I get help and the I hate making excuses for young adults but my goodness, you would've thought they went out to their garden for a farm to table experience putting together a small house salad. The pizza was good. So my pick up order should've been ready per their emails in 20 minutes. I waited an extra 20 minutes before I even got my order. Plenty of parking, pizza was good. But service can we worked on. The meatball sandwich was dry and bread was a disappointment. read more

One of the best mom and pop pizza places in S.A. and is also popular with Trinity, UIW ,SAC students and tourists visiting the zoo nearby. You order 1 pizza and get a free one. I just wanted 2 pepperoni slices , a drink ,a salad and my total came out to less than $15 ,not bad at all. If you think that's pricey then you haven't been to Goomba's on Wurzbach and 10 where my total was $23. The slices are good,hot and foldable like the NY style pizza slices. The place gets packed and is busy with customers and recall waiting a while for my slices after finishing my salad. The manager was cool enough to hook me up with an additional 2 slices to take home. read more

Ordered online for delivery. I ordered a margarita pizza. The Pizza arrived and was not correct. They sent me a pizza with red sauce, artichokes, black olives, mushrooms, onions and more. It didn't look very good, otherwise I might have just kept it and ate it. I called and they said they could refund me. I asked if I could just get my pizza still, they said another hour for re-delivery. The delivery man, Raymond, was friendly and nicely returned multiple times, to pick up my incorrect pizza, and then again deliver me the correct one. When the correct pizza arrived, I noticed they did discount my bill without me having to ask, which I was a little surprised and also grateful to see. Margarita pizza 8/10 The pizza itself was just ok. I do wish the cheese was more built up though, like more gooey. The basil you couldn't taste too much either because it was cooked. So I think I would like some fresh chopped basil sprinkled on top. read more

Stopped by Pizza Classics after the Japanese tea garden. We saw it on our way in & decided to stop on by on our way out if they were still open. They were! We ordered the buy one-get-one free deal on the pizza. Great quality pizza, enough for two families! We were served immediately, you walk-in and order. No wait time when we arrived. Our pizza came out at good time, we didn't have to wait long at all. The pizza it self was sooo good. I would definitely go again. The place is very causal, good amount of seating. It gives "small town local pizza joint" in the best way. You can tell it's a lot of people's favorite pizza place. I wish we had gotten a pic, it the food was so good- we just jumped in to eat! read more

I DoorDashed some pepperoni rolls after a concert on a Friday night so I can't speak to the service or ambiance, but the food. Oh man. The pepperoni rolls were awesome and the marinara was delicious. The bread was soft and covered in grated parm and inside was piping hot with melty cheese. I ordered some chicken wings and I typically go with medium spice, but the option was only spicy or regular. I probably should've gone regular, because these things were insanely hot. Like bright red, stain your fingers, make your mouth tingle hot. No regrets though lol. I'd definitely dine in to try a pizza next time. read more

Us and some friends were in town for an event and decided to get together for dinner. They were staying around the corner in an AirBnB and had heard about Pizza Classics from an internet search. 100% will eat here again. The Friday night special is the BOGO. So awesome. The Margherita Pizza is the best I've had. Not overpowered by Basil. They do it right and let ALL the flavors play beautifully together! All the food came out hot and delicious! A little bit of a younger scene due to the college crowd, but that just added to the ambience of a pizza joint close to a college. read more

I LOVED this place the first time I came. Lol this last visit I heard a guy in the back when getting a ready made slice tell the cashier, "don't worry I won't take the good slice." And of course she corrected him and said "they're all good slices." The pizza was good but didn't come out at the same time as the wings which was odd to us since we ordered combos. Things took a while but we still enjoyed our food, ESPECIALLY that Parmesan garlic sauce. the Maine root soda is a FAVE. read more

Highly recommend! Pizza classics was busy from the moment we walked in to the moment we left after dining in. I'm not surprised at how busy they were after eating their pizza! I had a pepperoni slice (decent size) I'm really big on crust that's my way of saying I'm picky lol. I always eat the crust first! Definitely 10/10 for the pizza, service and ambiance! Very clean restaurant and reasonably priced! There's indoor and outdoor seating (plenty of seating) accommodates both small and large groups. It's in a plaza so parking is limited but there's plenty of parking spots. read more

This place has the best wings in town.!! The place is always popular and they have lots of stickers on the front desk area which looks cool they even have a jukebox to play some great music oh did I forget to mention two TVs to watch sports on!?? The service is quick and always made to order! I've never had an issue here been having this pizza and wings for the past 20 years since I was a kid and my dad brought me here! A solid pizza joint near the heart of SA. They have a buy one, get one free special which comes in handy when hosting a group of people. I've had mostly all of their signature pizzas. I really like their Steak-N-Cheese pizza which is their take on a Philly cheesesteak pizza. I suggest calling ahead and getting it to go. They're usually busy so be prepared to wait. Especially if dining-in. Overall, pretty solid pizza. Recommend their wings also. read more

I would give 0 stars if I could. I called to order their special with 2 large pepperoni pizza(s), 12 lemon pepper wings and 2L coke. They told me the total with the "coupon"... then delivered one pizza and 12 wings for the same price. I called to ask what happened to my order. They said they could fix it for $12 more dollars. I already paid $40 for one pizza and 12 wings... when I ordered 2 pizzas, 12 wings and soda. horrible read more

Wow! Delicious pizza with a perfectly crispy crust and tasty sauce! The service was outstanding with a super friendly staff who went above and beyond for my family and made sure we had everything we needed! Their buy 1 get 1 free deal is hard to beat! We got one to eat In after the zoo and took one home to feed the rest of the family and they kept it warmed and boxed up while we took our time! Went later in the afternoon and it wasn't too busy but you could still feel the happiness and joy in the atmosphere from an amazing staff! Went to eat for Mother's Day. Ordered 2 XL pizzas (because they are buy one, get one free as a standard order), 1 beer and 1 soda. The guy who took the order asked us "you only want one"? Since the last thing ordered was a beer, we answered yes. Pizza came out... only one pizza. When we asked for our second, the guy continued to argue with us, stating we had ordered one. There were 2 of us who heard the 2-pizza order, as well as why would we only order one, when the second is free? He said he had asked if we wanted one... we said you asked after we ordered beer and yes, we only wanted one beer. Again, just argued with us, instead of just putting our free pizza in the oven. Instead of making a scene, we just left but will never go back. Which is sad, because we frequently went there. read more

The place gave me kind of a college hangout vibe with all the decorations on the wall. Place is small, chaotic and busy. Just because it was near the zoo and everyone wanted to come get dinner. What a great surprise! After a night out Elat the spurs game while visiting San Antonio, we really didn't want to drive around looking for a place to eat (the downtown area is a mess right now with all the construction). Pizza is usually our safe meal to order. I found this on Yelp and they had some great reviews, so away we went. I was a little bummed when the delivery estimated time was two hours, but they were at our hotel within an hour. Probably one of our best delivery pizzas we've had! Let's by starting off it was my family's first time here and we absolutely love pizza and salads so why not give it a try. The salad we received first was amazing!! Served in a bowl like your at home so it made you feel homey the pizza was absolutely great! We ordered pepperoni w/pineapple &' bacon pizza and it was delicious! The service there was also great very welcoming and when stated it was our first time they greeted us with even more happiness. We honestly did not have one negative thing to say about any of it. The focaccia deserves special recognition--it was hands down the most fresh and delicious focaccia I've ever had in my life. Light, flavorful, and absolutely perfect. If you're anywhere in the area, I highly recommend stopping by Pizza Vesuvio. It is beyond worth your time, and your taste buds will absolutely thank you.

At 10:59 an employee, supposedly a manager, behind the bar, not assisting with any closing duties, rudely said in a loud voice " We're closing and shutting off the TV" Before that was said there was 50 seconds left in the game and we were putting on our coats. I said in response "this place sure has changed." Last time I encountered such rudeness was at the restaurant Ocho, also near the Riverwalk. They are now out of business. We will not be returning, sometime in the future we will look in to see if this person is still working here (though we have not seen her do much working besides lurk behind the bar and the ladies room door. Customer service is one of foundations of of any good business, hopefully this establishment will return to it's previous standards.

The pizza was good, but unfortunately the service overshadowed the entire experience. I ended up emailing the manager - it's been 24 hours and I haven't heard back.

I came to cheer myself up, but honestly it only made dinner comically worse. I seriously can't imagine what would cause someone to rate this as 5 stars. Maybe if they thought Olive Garden was 4.5, then I guess this would barely be a 5 in comparison? Either way, if you're looking for good food for your dinner, keep looking. You won't find it here.

As I said, everything was phenomenal. Unfortunately, there is one issue we cannot look past, although we have tried. The bagels are delicious, but they are the absolute wettest, slippery and slidey-est bagels I've ever had in my life. The meal is spent looking down and hoping my beloved or other guests don't see the schmear up to my nose. By the end, we are having to reconstruct our bagel, as it looks like roadkill on the table. It is not a user error, as we eat slowly and carefully. I even have friends who refuse to come back here because it was the messiest eating experience of their lives. It's so unbelievably messy. We have to rinse off in their bathroom before leaving. I have to take my rings off and put my hair up. It's a commitment, one we are not strong enough to make at this point. Delicious, but.... we must bid you farewell, Boss Bagel. Godspeed.
