I've been to Pizza Castle several times; a few weeks back they didn't give me change, even though I asked for it. Today (10-15), I informed the lady at the counter about it and still didn't get my change from the previous order. I called tonight and spoke with Brian who claims he owns the business; he proceeded to imply that I was wrong for not bringing the problem to someone's attention 'that day'. I told him about the apparent (IMO) slipping quality of the pizza; the last few times have been lower quality. I was about to tell him about the lack of tomato sauce and toppings but his attitude, frankly, stopped me. Personally, I don't like being chastised like an employee. Honestly, he did offer a free order next time I'm in; truthfully, I don't think I will be back. I think a poor attitude from a boss trickles down to the employees. This place is the best.! They have the best pizza slices they have a kids meal that comes with a slice of pizza and a drink. They are really quick, there lemonade is also very good. They have very good deals on 18 inch pizzas. It's comes with a 18 inch pizza and a 2 Liter soda of your choice.! For starters, the pizza was great. The new location looks great, it does have a smell of fresh paint that someone throws off the pizza vibe, however that is something that comes with a new location and build-out, so no points off for that.There are some awesome arcade games for the kids and or adults. The location definitely has more street view than the last location and it's just across the street so you don't have to drive to B.F.E. to find it. The service was good, very friendly and very welcoming. One thing that wasn't so good was the soda. At that particular time the soda machine just had a CO2 bottle replaced, so the soda was very flat. They tried letting it run, I even tried filling up a pitcher so that everything went through the systems but the soda stayed flat. They did however replace my purchase of a pitcher for a 2L bottle of soda, but again no points off because they just replaced the CO2 bottle in the machine and I'm sure it will get resolved. I hadn't eaten here in 20+ years. I remembered it. Wing delicious and we were not disappointed today! We had a pizza with meatballs, green chile, pepperoni and sausage. You could tell all the ingredients were high quality and were cooked perfectly. Including the crust which had the perfect crisp to chewy ratio. We also had an order of very meaty, not overly saucy (in a good way) chicken wings. We loved it and will be going back very soon. We have tried a lot of pizza places in ABQ but this so far is the best. A must try! read more

I have been going to Pizza Castle for 20 years. Eeegads! Yes, it was a high school hangout for me, but the crazy thing is that the pizza is so delicious that I never outgrew it. Add to that the fact that this restaurant is one-family owned and operated, from mom to son, and who knows, maybe grandkids in ten years. Excellent NY pizza from NY originated family. The subs are great too, and very reasonably priced compared to chains, and much better tasting. Salads are just average but for only $1.25, great! There is a reason that many other restaurants in this strip have come and gone but this one remains. read more

If had to describe this place in one word it would be "okay". There was nothing blatantly wrong, but nothing impressed me either. The pizza was of Papa Murphy's/Papa Johns quality. Not nearly as good as it was described in some of the other reviews on here. Some of the empty tables were still dirty even though there were 5 people behind the counter chit chatting and we were the only customers there. Their prices are decent though. Good pizza. The crust is just chewy enough to be satisfying. The toppings were spread equally on the pizza. The sauce was perfectly proportioned, yet I think they could work on the sauce flavor a little bit. The sauce tasted kind of like chef boy-r-dee. Service was quick and friendly. The pizza is awesome. This hole in the wall in a small strip mall is authentic NY-style hand-tossed thin crust pizza. My husband and daughter each ate a whole pizza by themselves the last time we went. It is really that good. And consistent. I understand the owners brought their family recipes from NY. I've known this pizza place since its inception! the pizza dough, the sauce are just hard to match any where here in town. The old place was very displeasing but the newly relocated across the street totally made up for that. I haven't been to this place in a few years, but I distinctly remember it being the best pizza I have ever tried. Small, family-owned place that made for a unique atmosphere. I am not surprised this place has survived, but I am survived that more people don't know about it! I believe they also serve subs, salads and other things typical of a pizza joint, but I can't comment on them. read more

Only gave it one star because that's the lowest I could go. As far as pizza places go it would probably be a three but compared to what Bob and Teresa had it doesn't even deserve a one. Poor Bob is rolling over in his grave with the cheese that was on this pizza. Cheap cheese burns, cheap toppings make it worse. The only thing that was the same was the dough and the sauce. Our pizza's were undercooked so we didn't even enjoy that part of it. 5 people working all standing around doing nothing. It's going to get worse for the new owner, I don't see this place making it another year. What a shame! When we called to complain, no apology or any offer to fix the problem, just said he would let them know! Nice management skills! At least we still have Dion's. read more

Our family's go-to local pizza place. I'm a New Yorker by birth and was pretty much raised on pizza and subs. This place is a good reminder of home. The new owners have kept the quality and flavor, as well as added some new items, and my favorite being the calzones. The calzones are FANTASTIC!! I haven't had a sub in a while I'm picky with sandwiches, the bread is a super key element. I may give the sandwiches a go round again in the future, which may garner a 5 star review from me. After growing up in New York and Philly, a good sandwich is hard to find. My toddlers love pizza anyway they can get it, but pizza castle is even their hands down favorite! Thanks Pizza Castle for satisfying this yankee's pizza craving. 3 stars for pizza, I wish the crust was a little thinner, and the sauce had less oregano, but hey that's just me! 4 stars for the calzones. I like chicken as a meat in my calzones and pizza, but I just feel like the chicken they use is a precooked product. Fresh, roasted chicken breasts would be amazingly better. read more

Thought I'd give this place a try? Boy was I wrong. Mostly teens and hippies working here, bad customer service.My pizza was burned they said do you still want it? I said nope. In return they gave me a free small drink and I waited a total of 40mins here. Got my pizza and everything drove off, they forgot my breadsticks. So I drove back. They had to cook it 20mins no I'm sorry or here's another free item to bribe you, I mean they can't get there act together. Was a waste of my time and money.
