This is the pizza experience you want in your neighborhood. About half of the menu is genuinely good and about half is the kind of food you want to pickup on the way home from the bar. The eggplant Parmesan pizza is a particular favorite, but even eating cold cheese slices right in front of your open fridge the next morning is still an enjoyable experience. They also have a few salads and they are actually good, not the sad iceberg and dehydrated carrot sticks you would normally get at a takeout pizza spot. You can order a whole pie, but they also have premade slices ready to go if you're having a pizza emergency. The service is terrible, you may witness the guys in the kitchen fighting each other, and I would not trust their delivery service, but it is my absolute pizza go-to spot when I'm in the mood. read more

Tried a slice a few days ago and liked it, decided to order a pizza for delivery a few days later. I ordered a Hawaiian , added bacon, double cheese and a side of sauce. What I received was a bacon double cheese pizza and a delivery guy who refused to take the elevator to deliver to my apt. I will try them again but somehow my order got jumbled - did not get what I ordered and I had to meet the delivery guy in the lobby when the instructions about how to deliver were in app instructions. read more

There was nothing Italian about the Italian Subs we ordered. They both taste like a sandwich I'd make in my house except mine would be better. I placed my order over the phone. I ordered one sub with mustard, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, oil and vinegar. I wanted mayo, mustard, lettuce, tomato, onions, hot peppers, oil and vinegar on the second. When I said hot peppers the person on the phone, said "jalapeños". I'm thinking huh, no way. I asked, do you have hot relish that goes in Italian deli subs. He said yes. Gave me the total, said 20 minutes and hung up. I arrived within 10 but it took me an extra 10 minutes to find parking. I never did. I parked at Royal Farms and walked over. I paid in cash, the guy behind the register was a lot nicer in person than he was in the phone. In my drive home, I didn't smell anything from the bag. Like nothing, not even onions. Got home, opened that bad boy up and was disappointed immediately. No napkins in the bag, the bread was toasted, only 4 slices of meat, chopped onions instead of sliced, no oil and a vinegar on either subs. It was the most basic Italian Sub I've ever had. Living just a block or so away, Ribaldi's is our go to (and late night) pizza option in Hampden. I love that they offer pizza by the slice as well as whole pies. They have a traditional menu of pizzas and a choose your own toppings option. The service is good, and ordering ahead can get you a pizza pretty quickly! Man, I hate to do it. This used to be my go to spot for pizza. The XL cheese still hits but can be overcooked at times. I used to ride hard for their chicken parm pizza and would order it when we had guests over. The last few times it's been pretty spotty, hardly any chicken and no basil at all. I had the taste for an Italian cold cut. Stopped here today. Parking was a little difficult because most of the residents in the area were home. I entered and started to place my order. I didn't know that they didn't serve seafood products so, a fish sub was out. I ordered an Italian cold cut everything extra hots and red onions. It wasn't crowded when I placed my order. I used to love Ribaldis and ordered from them regularly. I ordered a large x-cheese pizza for delivery, since my family was ill and we needed something quick. When I got the pizza and started cutting it up, I noticed it was burned at the bottom. When I tried it, the pizza tasted burnt and the dough was hard like cardboard. I called the restaurant, told them I had pictures to prove it, but they refused to resend a pizza unless I brought it in person. I explained I couldn't, my family is sick and highly contagious, offered to send pictures, etc. The store still refused unless I "proved it" by bringing it in person. I had to call Slice to get it resolved. They brought another pizza, but after reading other reviews I didn't trust or want it. I got the eggplant parm pizza (likely a poor decision on my part) as takeout. They didn't send any notification when food was ready, but when I went by, they had the pizza and kept it hot. The pizza itself was just awful. The sauce is watery, and the cheese limp, and vaguely sad. The eggplant disappeared into the breading so thoroughly it was hard to tell it had been there at all--but really, the problems with the pizza were fundamental. So, I visited this establishment after having not visited for many years. They did not disappoint. The manager - didn't get his name was beyond accommodating and patient as I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted. Getting the food home, I only had to put it in the toaster oven to regain the crispness that went away during the drive and a couple of stops getting home. The only positives I can say about Ribaldi's is that the pizza slices were large and that I got my slices quickly. I recently went for a weekday lunch and got two slices of the chicken parmesan pizza (there were only three kinds of slices available). Even though the pizza was heated up, by the time I walked five blocks and ate it, it was lukewarm. Naturally, you bring it back and ask for a refund or a replacement but are REFUSED either option. Horrible customer service, please go elsewhere there are far better places in the area who treat their customers much better. It was $9.58 for a single slice of pizza and garlic knots. Overpriced for mediocre food that couldn't even be enjoyed due to their own error. Not to mention, there are flys in the place and nothing done to keep them away from the food areas. Horrible customer service. The man who runs the place is very rude. He cussed out my girlfriend because she's allergic to cheese and HE didn't hear her order a sandwich without it, and then proceeded to refuse to give her her money back after he also took the sandwich back. It literally took me leaving the house to confront him before he finally gave me $10 back. It's weird to to treat regular customers like trash, especially when your product is terrible and over priced to begin with. Will never be spending money here again and I advise anyone who sees this to do the same. There are MANY better options in the area, and we've only ever come here because of proximity. This business lost a loyal customer today. I'm sure the owners will not care, since their abhorrent behavior is the cause but please be warned. There are many reviews on here about terrible customer service, they aren't lying. We placed an order on Door Dash- usually we pick up but had commitments tonight that made it difficult to pick up. Half an hour after we placed the order, it was canceled. No reason- just canceled. So I called them to find out what happened. I was told the driver came, the food wasn't done, so he left. I contacted Door Dash to complain. The gentleman on the phone said the food was ready now but the driver was gone. I asked if my husband dropped in, can we just pick it up. He said, "Sure. Just give us like 20 minutes. It's a little crazy in here. " 20 minutes later my husband goes to pick up- he's told that since the order was canceled by DD, they don't have anything ready. I'm sorry- I thought the food was ready??? He gave my husband a ton of attitude, like this situation was OUR fault! He didn't even offer to retake the order- just we don't have your food. Didn't even once apologize. Are you kidding me????? In essence- guy straight up lied. THEY canceled the order and then lied to me about it and to top it off, they were extraordinarily rude. Told me to come pick it up, knowing there was NO FOOD. I have never been treated like this before. These guys aren't the only pizza place in the area and the pizza is good, not crazy good. We will be happy to frequent elsewhere. Buyer beware- this place is SHADY and unprofessional. And they LIE. I contacted Door Dash again to ensure the driver wasn't reprimanded and they confirmed- RIBALDI'S canceled. We get pizza there at least once a week, no more. Pasta Mista will get our business now. I recently ordered the Italian sub meal deal via the Yelp app and it didn't disappoint! The order was ready earlier than the app said, so in the future I'll be headed there early. I've had Ribaldi's pizza twice in the past few months and feel like they have a slice you can trust. I've tried regular cheese, mushroom, onion, and pepperoni. All of these were solid-- nothing fancy or gourmet, but definitely left me satisfied. A few things I really liked about their pizza: - Not oily, no need to dab with a napkin. - Good, sturdy crust with some chewiness and a little crisp. No floppy slices here! From looking at their menu online, it looks like there's a fairly big jump in price between a large regular pizza and a specialty one, so I can't speak to whether the pricier pies are worth it... Beautiful classic-American/New York-style pizza. Gorgeous crust, crisp on the outside but tender inside, thin but not too thin. Great balance of cheese and sauce. Generous with toppings but not too much so. Good prices and generally quick delivery. They've been a real pandemic mainstay for us. One fault--they offer half-pie toppings, but occasionally they've done extra cheese on the whole pie contrary to instructions. (They are generous with extra cheese, which is great if you want it, but frustrating if you don't.) I haven't tried anything other than their pizza, so I can't speak to that. This is the worst pizza ever, absolutely atrocious. I've been everywhere, and believe me, their pizza sucks. It takes a lot to make pizza bad. Even crappy pizza can be dressed up, dunked in garlic sauce, have cheese dumped on it, but there is nothing you can do to save this. The crust comes from dough that tastes like stale flour. The sauce is straight out of a can, and not from a good company either. Institutional (think prison) quality sauce. The cheese, what tiny amount they use, is flavorless. "Cheese-food-product"? Whatever meat is used has turned rancid, as in, smells like dog and tastes even worse. We gave this place more than one shot, and they consistently disappointed. Badly. The owner has MAJOR ego, acts like they think they're all that. Makes you wonder where he got run out of.
